Nice hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds. Our room was nicely appointed, clean and beautifully decorated. I would definitely recommend for a romantic vacation or weekend getaway with you spouse in Key West. Location was also a plus being close to Duval St. and all the action. The only negative ( and this is being very nitpicky) was the tight parking. Overall was everything we were looking for.
My husband and I spent our 3rd anniversary there last week. It was our first time in Key West and I chose the right location to stay. We were greeted by Nancy with glasses of cool prosecco during check-in, which was very simple. We chose to use the onsite parking since it was available and inexpensive. We actually didn't move the car the entire stay. We were given a key to our cottage 1 and a key to the entry gate. Walking through the gate, we passed a splashing water feature alongside the pool, private to the cottage guests. Our Cottage 1 was straight ahead with a charming, large porch just for us. How exciting to walk in and explore the cool interior, tastefully decorated with ocean features and colors. Due to the current times, the breakfast bar was not open but they gave us a large bowl with all sorts of treats. They also gave us a card and complimentary bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge for our anniversary! so sweet of them. Off the living room, is the large bedroom with a king bed and French doors that lead to the shared porch behind. This is shared with two other cottages. The bed was comfortable and we had 6 large pillows to use. The bathroom is open to the bedroom with a private toilet, a closet for clothes, ironing board, etc and another closet which housed the small refrigerator and Keurig. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bottles of water are supplied as you need them. We enjoyed a drink at the pool bar tended by Jay and enjoyed walking through the shady, magical gardens full of interesting artwork and even two tortoises. The self-serve wine bar is convenient and we enjoyed a fine glass of Merlot with the acoustic guitar player on Friday evening. In between enjoying Key West, we cooled off in our semi-private pool which was right in front of the cottage. It was perfectly relaxing. Thank you so much, we will definitely return!! Michelle and Karl Boland…
Room was clean and kept very clean. It was very quiet even though our balcony overlooked the gardens. there was a place to relax anywhere on the property inside or out. I would definitely come here again. The location was perfect to where we wanted to go. Walking is not a problem but we rented a cart to get around faster.
This was our second time staying at The Gardens and it will not be our last! The property grounds are beautifully landscaped and encompasses you in a place of serenity. Other than the few guests you may see at the pool or at breakfast, you will feel that you are relaxing in your own private oasis. We did run into a slight issue with our room but they remedied this without hesitation. Everyone there goes above and beyond to make you feel at home….even the property kitties:) We definitely recommend the Gardens if you are going to KeyWest.
We recently visited The Gardens Hotel for the first time Labor Day weekend. Everything from the room to the staff to the location was superb. You can literally disappear into a beautiful garden surrounding the grounds. The pool was a nice place to relax after a day of touring and we met some wonderful people at the pool bar. Will definitely return to The Gardens on our next visit.
