Wonderful place to stay. Grounds are beautiful and staff great. We enjoyed the turtles, fish, and birds. There were sitting areas in various places if the gardens, which was nice. Room was very nice, beds sooo comfy.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I spent our 3rd anniversary there last week. It was our first time in Key West and I chose the right location to stay. We were greeted by Nancy with glasses of cool prosecco during check-in, which was very simple. We chose to use the onsite parking since it was available and inexpensive. We actually didn't move the car the entire stay. We were given a key to our cottage 1 and a key to the entry gate. Walking through the gate, we passed a splashing water feature alongside the pool, private to the cottage guests. Our Cottage 1 was straight ahead with a charming, large porch just for us. How exciting to walk in and explore the cool interior, tastefully decorated with ocean features and colors. Due to the current times, the breakfast bar was not open but they gave us a large bowl with all sorts of treats. They also gave us a card and complimentary bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge for our anniversary! so sweet of them. Off the living room, is the large bedroom with a king bed and French doors that lead to the shared porch behind. This is shared with two other cottages. The bed was comfortable and we had 6 large pillows to use. The bathroom is open to the bedroom with a private toilet, a closet for clothes, ironing board, etc and another closet which housed the small refrigerator and Keurig. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and bottles of water are supplied as you need them. We enjoyed a drink at the pool bar tended by Jay and enjoyed walking through the shady, magical gardens full of interesting artwork and even two tortoises. The self-serve wine bar is convenient and we enjoyed a fine glass of Merlot with the acoustic guitar player on Friday evening. In between enjoying Key West, we cooled off in our semi-private pool which was right in front of the cottage. It was perfectly relaxing. Thank you so much, we will definitely return!! This place blew me away. Upon checking in they greeted us with a flute of champagne. We stayed in cottage 1. The cottages are separate from the main hotel. There are 3 cottages back there ( I believe cottage 3 is actually 2 units, upstairs and down) We had our own pool, separate from the main hotel. Our cottage was lovely. It had a beautiful living room, complete with a basket full of snacks that they will replenish as needed. The bed room was large and the king size bed was so comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous The shower is large and the black chandelier is just stunning. I loved the whole look and feel of the place. The main hotel area has a beautiful garden area. We walked the path and saw birds, a koi fish pond, a beautiful pool, outdoor bar, gazebo, fountains, and even a tortoise!! My husband surprised me with the special Package they offer so when we got back to the room after dinner they had gorgeous red roses, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting for us on the table. The details they put into everything were just incredible!! There is also a wine bar on site. We never made it there unfortunately. The hotel is short walk to duval street. The location is perfect!! Parking is $30 per day and they have only a small lot so if you want your car but another guest is blocking you then you might be out of luck. That was really the only downfall. Pre covid they were able to collect keys and shuffle cars as needed and now that’s not an option. So just be patient with the parking. This place is worth that minor inconvenience. All in all I can honestly say this was the most magnificent place I’ve ever stayed. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s worth every penny and I can’t wait to come back and stay here again

We try to visit KW at least once a year and always stay at the Gardens Hotel. The rooms are constantly refreshed and crisp. There is also a very relaxing vibe here. You can be involved around the pool and bar with distancing or relax in a private garden spot or your deck. The hotel is situated in the center of the old town so we can walk almost everywhere Can not wait to go back later this winter

I was not originally going to stay here until a local relative gave strong recommendation. I never regretted following that advice. The enclosure of this hotel envelops you in tropical greenery with meandering brick paths leading to 2 pools, gazebos, perching places, a cute bar (and charming bartender). The rooms are in several Key West edifices kept immaculately in old style with modern updates and period furniture. Despite pandemic , the staff was seamless with providing door service if you needed refills of the breakfast basket cold items or new towels and bedsheets. The front desk and automated wine bar with access card are amazing accoutrements and the safety of a locked night gate just add to the nurture of the place. A few short steps from Duval St., I would opt to stay here time and again. It’s the real deal
