Island City House is a beautiful historic gem in Key West. Perfect location if you are coming in on Key West Express! Within walking distance. Lovely gardens and private. We love staying on the Arch House!

My wife and I picked the Island City House at the last minute, as we did originally were only making a day trip to Key West. We came across this gem at the last minute, and we were so glad we did! The inner garden between the various houses is amazing, as was our room! I know wish we has...

Checked in to a nice greeting from front desk. Most helpful with area sites and offerings. For an 1800's building it was in very nice condition and very clean. Best part is the location. 3 blocks to Duval St. and 3 blocks to wharf. Never saw the car until we left.

Great location. Easy walk to everything. Wonderful vibe with great character. Rooms had personality and charm, and the outdoor areas made for a relaxing getaway. Restful rooms and solid amenities with comfortable beds and our room with great little kitchen area.

The nicest hotel I've stayed in for a long time! We stayed at one of the two suites on the top floor in the old Cigar House (room 11 I think), had a balcony overlooking the pool where we had breakfast, took a couple of drinks before going out, and night car before bed. Plenty of room, very close to...

The size of the suite worked great for our girls trip with 3 of us. We wanted some place we had room to "hang out" in without feeling cramped. It worked great! The hide a bed was a little rough for us in our '60's but we made it work with extra padding. The extra space with the TV room...

great staff, always ready to help, nice linens, beautiful outdoor seating areas, close enough to Duvall ( meaning easy walk but not a lot of noise). We appreciated the gift coupon to the local, yummy bakery!

Nice hotel in lovely tropical gardens; great heated pool; short walk to everything; comfortable-sized room with full kitchen. Very peaceful and relaxing but close to all activities, plenty to do nearby

Excellent hotel with great staff. The hotel was recommended by friends and they were so right. The gardens were lush and we'll manicured. The room was spacious and very clean and our room had a balcony that had a wonderful view of the pool.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Key West suite accommodations at The Island City House Hotel are comprised of three buildings, each with its own style and unique character. The Arch House features six suites furnished in a casual Caribbean Style. The two suites on the first floor are two-bedroom suites. These suites have two separate bedrooms each with one queen-sized bed, a living/dining room with a kitchen, one bathroom, and a small porch. The studio-suites on the second floor of the Arch House have one queen-sized bed in an alcove, a sitting area with a kitchenette, and either a street-side balcony with a porch swing or a garden view balcony with a hammock. The Island City House is the main building on our property housing twelve parlor suites, ten one-bedroom suites, and two two-bedroom suites. These suites are furnished in an island Victorian style with lace curtains and many antique pieces. The two bedroom suites have two separate bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with a queen bed, a living/dining room with a full kitchen, one bathroom and a large porch. The ten parlor suites have one queen-size bed and a separate sitting area with a kitchen. Many of these suites also have a sleeper sofa (for children or a third adult) or a porch overlooking the gardens. The Cigar House, our poolside building, is the home of our six largest one-bedroom suites. All of these suites are decorated in a tropical plantation style. The first and second floor suites have a king-size bed in the bedroom, a separate living room with a full kitchen, and a hammock on the poolside porch or balcony. The two suites tucked away on the third floor have a queen-size bed in the bedroom, a separate living room with a full kitchen, and an open balcony overlooking the pool and Infrared Sauna. ... more   less
