stayed in the female dorm, beds are terrible (kind of plastic mattresses?) and the aircon sounds like a plane landing in your room, the bathroom is ok though. don't really understand why other travelers complain about the place: regarding the prices in Key West this is the only cheap place to stay, nothing more nothing less. As they have a...

Was travelling by myself and stayed for a few nights in the Hostel. The female dorm seemed to have a very odd layout. Two rooms connected through a doorway and both sharing one bathroom which you could access from either room. The bunk beds seemed a bit rickety and the sheets were pretty thin. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but...

I decided to stay here just for one night even if I have read the negative feedbacks. Guys I stayed in more than one hostel but for sure this one is in the top 3 of the dirtiest. But you know it is even the cheapest place in key west so if you want just to have a shower and...

I am an experienced traveler, having been in nearly 60 countries and 43 states, thus I have stayed at over 500 hotels. This is the worst by far. Worse than anything in India, China, Africa or any third world country. The list of what is wrong would be too extensive to enumerate but: no closets, dirty, moldy, broken drains, AC...

It's quite a disgusting place. It is the only "cheap" place to stay in Key West for a solo traveler, but I would advise either making your stay short (one night, so that you don't need to use the showers and so your back doesn't hurt the next day from the ancient beds) or paying a bit more for a...

I stayed at this place for a couple of days. I chose this since I was traveling alone and had very short time to plan (1 day). I have stayed in multiple dorm style hostels across the US. This is the worst one. There was only one bathroom for about 10 guys in the dorm, so plan well around that....

This is our first trip to Key West and it was challenging to find accommodations that were reasonable. My first choice was a Bed & Breakfast but many have a 3 night minimum. Sea Shell Hostel seemed like a reasonable alternative within our budget. The pictures on-line are a bit deceiving. At first glance the room appeared clean but upon...

Unfortunately for the budget-minded traveler, this is the only hostel (that I am aware of) in Key West. With that said, I will never stay at this place again! Pros: - cheapest lodging you can find (you get what you pay for?) - bathroom is decent and fixtures worked - center courtyard is a decent area for travelers/guests to come...

You get what you pay for at this place. The rooms were clean the showers were subpar but the location was excellent and the rates are cheap. If you're on your own and staying for one or two nights and just need a place to crash in Key West it's decent. They only had about six parking spaces but they...

Plaster had fallen off the walls in several places, the supposed air conditioning unit was dirty, noisy, not fit for purpose and kept us awake all night, the taps weren’t attached to the basin properly, we found a huge cockroach in the bathroom, the fridge was covered in rust marks etc (see photos). The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful....
