We really lucked out finding this gem in the midst of the commercialization of Key West. A genuine welcome and lovely environment made our wedding anniversary weekend a delight. Hillary is a breath of fresh air each morning with the breakfast tray outside next to the pool. She has great suggestions for where the locals go and helped us feel so special. Carol’s sense of humor and helpful directions started our journey on the right foot. See if you can get the Delaney room for a special treat! We will be back!

Location was the highlight of this stay. Near Duval, a CVS, the train tours, and rentals. The bed was very small so we didn’t sleep well here. I’m 5’9 140 lbs and he’s 5’11 190 lbs for a reference. We barely fit in the bed together and it was difficult maneuvering around the room as everything was very close together. The breakfast was muffins and other pastries with a couple pieces of fruit. The staff were nice and we would possibly book here again, but not the Casa Cabana room. Everything was clean and I felt safe with the security camera’s and high fence. If you’re mostly going to be out and about like we were, maybe the tightness of space won’t bother you. For almost $500/night though, we want to be able to get a good nights rest… which proved impossible here.

Response from , Owner at The Conch House Heritage Inn
Responded Apr 11, 2022
We truly regret that these guests did not have an enjoyable stay with us as that is our number one goal. However we also believe that it could have been easily remedied had they read the room description when reserving their room via an online reservation. They chose the Casa Cabana which clearly indicates a full/double size bed in the room. This is the only room with this smaller bed size as all others have either a queen or king sized bed. Without meaning to be too critical we also think important to note that these guests were almost considered a "no-show", as we had not heard from them on the day of their check-in prior to our office closing for the day. We send two notifications to all of our guests prior to check-in noting the following: confirming the reservation dates, room choice, and also indicating that you must contact us if arriving after 6:00pm. These guests never contacted us nor did they respond to our numerous phone calls and texts the day of check-in. Finally, two hours after closing they did contact us thru our emergency phone number asking if they could check-in which we kindly walked them thru and they were very grateful. Upon further inquiry the next morning, we asked if they had received our emails regrading reservation confirmation and arrivals after 6:00pm; the response from the companion traveler of this reviewer was "yeah, we probably recevied but never read them." Again, our sincere regrets these guests were not able to "get a good night's rest" but we are happy they were pleased with our cleanliness, the hospitality of our staff and that they felt safe.

We just returned from a stay at The Conch House in KW and we are already making plans to return. Hillary could not have been a more accommodating host. The care and attention they give to the property and the quests in second to none. The grounds and pool are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are clean, comfortable and keep with the Key West cottage style. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully maintained and include all the little conveniences that make for a carefree stay. The morning coffee and breakfast by the courtyard pool is an excellent way to start the day. The location is perfect for exploring Key West. Just a block off so to Duval Street, the Conch is set up around a beautiful private courtyard and pool so private and inviting that its easy to forget that you are a three minute walk from all the action. There are so many excellent restaurants nearby we wished we could have tacked another week on our stay just to try them all. We particularly enjoyed Moondog and Blue Heaven for breakfast and Nine-One-Five and The Thirsty Mermaid for dinner. The Boathouse on the harbor or The Southernmost Cafe are great places to grab lunch by the water. Our stay was picture perfect from start to finish. Thank you Hillary and crew - we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely cannot fault it. It’s got to be the prettiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We were met by Lynn who couldn’t have been more welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the resort. We took her advice on a restaurant she loved and it did not disappoint. You must try Salute on the Beach. Our room in the hotel was by the pool with a gorgeous balcony. Inside we had everything we could’ve wanted right down to beautiful Molton Brown toiletries. It was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was served by Hilary who was equally as friendly. It was so lovely to meet these ladies. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, warm fresh croissant or quiche, freshly baked banana bread and a warm muffin served outside on the patio (or you could take it to your room if you prefer). This breakfast was a very welcome healthy change from the bacon, sausage, eggs and hash browns we had been having in Orlando!!!! The pool area was so private with comfortable loungers and a lovely pool. We spent a lot of time here. Overall, we had an absolute ball at this hotel and we’re sorry to leave ! Would HIGHLY recommend and we will definitely be back. Thanks everyone at Conch House for a wonderful stay x

My wife and I had never been to Key West and wanted a convenient location within walking distance of everything. This was the perfect place for us to stay. We checked in and the receptionist Rebecca was so helpful and informative! The room above the pool was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay at the Conch House the next time we come to Key West.

Second time for us here. Nice baked goods breakfast. Beautiful setting. Street is noisy, but easy access to Duval. Parking a bit tight, especially for larger vehicles. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Very clean, well kept property. We expect to use this as our place to stay again in Key West.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our recent stay in Key West. It was a perfect location to park the rental car and walk to everything. We were in the main house in the Cayo Hueso room. It was very comfortable. The house had so much character. The breakfast was very good and the staff was super friendly. This was our first visit to Key West and I would highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful! The hotel is in a great location, central to attractions. Our room, Bocca Grande, was very comfortable and charming. Cannot say enough about the staff! They were tremendous! Recommendations were spot on. Breakfast by the pool was a treat. Excellent experience across the board!

We stayed in the Cabana by the poolside for 2 nights. This was our first trip to the Keys and this was a special place to spend it in. The welcome was warm, the room was small but perfect and the breakfasts divine. We walked everywhere we needed to be and never used the car, which was safely in the car park. It was lovely to sit by the pool or on the porch and relax, even in the rain! There is street noise obviously, but it didn’t bother us one bit. Once inside the cabana it was barely noticeable. All the staff were lovely and we cannot fault our stay. Visit if you’re in Key West.
