I'd been looking forward to my trip to Key West for nearly a year, and Boyd's exceeded my expectations! The park is incredibly well managed - you see staff running around the property all day to keep the park clean and maintained for guests. Even over the New Year holiday, when the park was packed, trash was collected regularly, bathrooms were clean, and our campsite was clean and in working order when we arrived. We had one of the dockside spots and there was a manatee swimming around in the water no more than 30 feet from our RV - you can't beat that! The store has a great selection. The laundry facilities were good. And the location of the park is very convenient to adventures around Key West - it's so easy to get in and out of town. There are also a few great local restaurants within walking distance of the campground. I can't wait to return!

The trip: 3 nights tent camping with the goal of having a laid back long weekend in Key West. Flew in from out of state.
The location / getting around: Boyd's is on the east side of Stock Island. For our trip we chose bikes instead of a car. Flying in, we had already arranged for We-Cycle to deliver bikes to the campground. A cab ride to Boyds from the airport cost ~18 bucks. Biking into Key West took ~25-35 minutes depending on where we were headed and was just a great bike ride (biking along the water to get into town and locking up your bike anywhere beats the heck out of worrying about gas, parking, DD'ing and is just more intimate).
The facilities: Super clean. You don't need to be a hardcore camper but it helps if you're not super high maintenance. They have showers, sinks, adapters (in the common area), water fountains, a pool, etc. The food truck on the property will hook you up with breakfast and coffee as early as 6:30a!
What we didn't like: Staff did not seem very guest friendly; seem to want to get through their days with the bare minimum.

This park was a great place, even though sites are very close. Staff was great & really helpful and, to our surprise, even refunded a night when we had to leave early! Since we drive a small C class and do not tow a vehicle, we took Uber down to the wharf where everything was happening ($19 one way). (There are tons of bikes and scooters available to rent also.) There are some lovely dock-side sites, too. We would highly recommend this RV park!

We stayed 2 nights, Very well maintained campground, you can see the staff quickly cleaning the spaces once some one leaves. They have a store where you can get anything you have forgotten, albeit a bit expensive. Showers & pools are very clean, they also have daily a Food Truck, it sells daily coffee and Spanish sandwiches, very good. We will comeback, very pleased.

Ultra friendly and helpful staff, CLEAN, best Wi-Fi we've had at any campground, great pool with salt water and a chiller to cool the water very refreshing on these hot days. Nice large sites (we have a 45' RV next to us and it has plenty of room. Nice store. Minutes to Duval Street etc..

This is our second visit to Key West in two years. Boyd's Key West Campground is a great location to Key West activities and the staff is very helpful to all campers. The campground is clean and well maintained (thanks Maintenance staff!) and willing to help you with any problems. The office staff is so accommodating to the campers and guests (thanks Andrea!). The staff makes the extra effort to insure your stay is the best it can be! Highly recommended! Great memories!

We camp here two to three times a year (wish it were more). My wife's family has been coming here for over 40 years. The desk staff is always friendly and accomodating and the maintenance keeps the campground looking great and operating 24/7. They have a hidden oasis behind the pool area you need to check out when visiting. The store has camping items available if you forget something as well as snacks, drinks, clothing, hats and memorabilia. We definitely recommend and will continue to stay at Boyd's for years to come.

We stayed at a primitive waterfront campsite and we could not have asked for a better campsite. While the sites are a little tight, they are long enough to feel very roomy. The views from the site were amazing and the walk to the bathroom was short. It was also convenient that they had a sink for dish washing at the bathrooms. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We'd stay there again.

My husband and I stayed three nights at one of the waterfront campsites and it was AMAZING! We typically stay in an airbnb for the convenience, but this campground provides everything a traveler needs: extremely well maintained bath houses (with spotless bath rooms and spacious private showers), beautiful views, a big pool with a relaxing lounge area, laundry facilities (coin operated), a great outdoor game room, and last and definitely not least - extremely friendly and helpful staff. The whole campground just has a very communal feel. We will stay here for now on.
