Beautiful everything, relaxing spa, beautiful pool and friendly staff. Local owners for many decades see to it that your stay is pleasant. NOT for college kids or parties. This is a nice resort for adults who want to relax in paradise.

We had a long mother-daughter weekend experience like no other at Ocean Key!! From entering through the beautiful airy lobby, being greeted with a sample of their signature rum drink, handling of our bags, the suite room was exceptional with a welcome cheese and berry plate, our view was magnificent, we went to the on resort Terra Spa for the best experience I've ever had at a spa which included facials, massage, a milk bath, and mani/pedi combination. I just can't say enough about the resort and the spa. The location is excellent and the dining in-house and in the area is just about the best and freshest food I've every eaten! I highly recommend this resort for a very memorable get away!

We stayed at the ocean key for the second stop of our honeymoon where we visited lots of locations in Florida. The room was HUGE, the staff were really helpful and friendly and the location is brilliant right at the end of Duval street where all the bars restaurants and stores are, the glass bottom boats leave right at the front of the hotel, the ghosts and gravestones tour also leaves right outside! The pool area was gorgeous, we didn’t actually use the pool as we were too busy with excursions but we did watch the sunset there. The hotel backs on to Mallory square which you can use to do the sunset celebration and watch the gorgeous yachts and boats cruise by. We were a little sad that the spa bath didn’t seem overly clean so we didn’t use it during our stay and would recommend flushing it through if you do plan to use it. The Key West chickens woke us every morning and we ate breakfast on our balcony and enjoyed them scratching around downstairs every morning. If you want a quiet hotel I’d say the ocean key isn’t for you (I wouldn’t recommend to families) but I would highly recommend to couples or young groups looking for somewhere near to the action as a great base. Oh! And make sure to BOOK if you want to use the hot tin roof, we wanted Sunday brunch but were turned away as we hadn’t made a reservation.
