We stayed here as part of Costco Travel - had a room overlooking both the pool and Ocean. We were on the 5th floor and the balcony allowed us to see the sunsets perfectly.
The rooms are exceptionally decorated and the large bath mirror even had Bluetooth speakers :) Jacuzzi also in the bath and 2 sinks (my wife is happy).
The pier and associated food are really amazing and there is frequent live music. It felt like we were at a prime location. Duval street is a little over 1 mile long and there are so many bars, shops, ice cream, and restaurants. Always plenty to do.
The resort has valet parking but they do charge you a daily fee for this. They park your car under a canopy of flowers between the buildings. If you don't plan on a lot of driving, I would suggest against a rental car to save this fee. You can rent nearby golf carts, bikes, scooters, and the like. Also Lyft worked just fine.
After checking in, we were given a complementary rum punch in the lobby. The on-prem Hot Tin Roof is crazy good. Stellar views, service, and foot quality. Check out their ratings.
The resort was so nice they locked our bags in their office so we could attend a snorkeling tour after we'd checked out.
The concierge (Mitchelle) is REALLY good at his job. Take advantage of his services.
This resort is pricey but if you're going to make the trip to Key West, this is easily one of the best places where you can stay.

What a great stay at Ocean Key! Situated at 0 Duval St, you're right in the middle of all the action and have great water views from your room (if you book an ocean view) or the pool area. Check-in was truly seamless - the friendly valet took our suitcases and after a quick check-in helped us to our room. We were in Room 426 which we were told was a recently renovated room and it looked like it. The entire atmosphere of the resort is beautiful. I esp. like that the parking garage (valet only) is right there on the 1st level and when you're walking the 2nd floor hallway it's open air with really nice foliage (hard to explain, but it's really pretty) covering the garage below.
Pros: 1. Location Location Location 2. The room was clean, spacious, and had a nice balcony with a partial ocean view. 3. Watch the sunset from the pool deck to avoid the Mallory Square crowds. 4. Service was spot on throughout our stay. 5. The Rum Bar in the lobby is fantastic! 6. We tried room service breakfast one morning and it was delicious as well as reasonably priced.
Cons: 1. They provide a card in the room to schedule your housekeeping and they didn't come at all on our first full day. I needed to call the front desk for towels later that evening. 2. The shower was spacious with great toiletries, but the water pressure was anemic.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish! Beautiful resort in the best location in Key West! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are spacious and clean. We celebrated a birthday and upon check in there were balloons and a bottle of wine waiting in the room for the guest of honor! Pool bar staff were great too! Booked dinner at The Hot Tin Roof for the birthday dinner and they had a birthday sign on the table with the guest of honor’s name—-nice touch! We sat outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Food was excellent. Overall we had an amazing time and highly recommend this resort!

I paid a premium price for a mediocre room. The location on the 4th floor with million dollar sunset views was quite fabulous but I could (and did) get the same experience on the sunset pier. We arrived after dark and the concierge checked us in, led us to an elevator that was a maze to get to and left us to find our room, which was also a maze -like experience. Our room was as far away from the hotel desk as possible in this sprawling building and there was no offer of assistance with luggage. Turns out there is an elevator right next to our room, but that wasn't mentioned at check-in.
Regarding the restaurant, it was rated 2nd best in all of Key West on trip advisor. I would not concur, as with the room, I found it mediocre and we got better service much better food, for about the same price down the street at the A&B seafood house. The restaurant is quite small and resembles a motel coffee house, suitable for breakfast and lunch.
As for value, I've stayed in better for substantially less cost.

Best location among the top hotels in Key West, at a walking distance from all the major downtown attractions, yet fairly secluded with the relaxing waterfront and some parks nearby. All staff members (from front office to cleaners) are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Facilities could be better: small swimming pool, with all eyes on you if you do lapses. Even tinier gym. Room insulation is not great; you can definitely hear it when there is partying going on in neighbouring rooms or on Mallory Square.

Pros: It’s definitely a beautiful property and is in a great location. The hotel was very clean and the view overlooking the water was awesome. The music was OK and they seem to shut everything down at a reasonable time. The staff was awesome especially the concierge Mitchell was great. Cons: The food in the restaurant is very expensive, it was very cool day and we had no way of controlling the room thermostat. We were also surprised that the room didn’t have a microwave to heat up tea or nuke up a quick breakfast treat. We are also used to a room with an extra sink to rinse out drinking glasses and coffee cups . The bathroom was really really small and the workout room was too small and not enough exercise equipment.

The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable! We felt at home as soon as we walked in! Your staff is outstanding! Everyone! The room service... again ... just outstanding! We had breakfast every morning on our balcony. It was absolutely beautiful! The breakfast was delicious, just awesome! Every night we went down to Sunset Pier bar and had a wonderful time watching the sunset listening to the live music and chatting with your bar staff who were very very nice and welcoming! They made us feel like we have been coming there for years! In particular, Zach and Erica, treated us so well! We really enjoyed their company and conversations the woman that was taking care of our room and cleaning it and straightening it up everyday was so nice and so polite I can't say enough about your staff and the whole experience from Craig that greeted us at the door to all your concierge people, the food the cleanliness, the ambiance, everything, you just knocked it out of the park!! We will definitely be coming back here again! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For the wonderful experience in Key West!

The location is great if you want to be within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and other activities along Duval Street. The service at the hotel was exceptional and the entire staff was friendly. We stayed in a junior suite and the room was very clean and a great size. The room was furnished with two flat screen tv’s, a separate area with a couch and a balcony. The pool area was really nice, overlooking the ocean and Mallory Square. The gym was very small and had some dumbbells, cardio equipment and a cable machine. The only complaint was the layout of the resort, that seemed confusing and weird. We rented a golf cart to explore the town, which is well worth it. You really can’t go wrong to stay at this resort if you are looking to be in the middle of the action that Key West offers.

My husband and I have been visiting Key West for the past few years (we find it a nice tropical getaway without having to leave the country), and this time we decided to stay at Ocean Key Resort. WOW!!! From the moment we walked in the lobby we were treated like royalty, the staff here are all so warm and welcoming and helpful, it's nearly impossible to find this level of hospitality anywhere these days. We stayed in a partial Oceanview Jr. Suite overlooking Malloy Square which was fun as we watched the people and activities down below during the sunset celebrations. The room was immaculate and a nice large size to move around in. It looked exactly as it does on the website. We ordered room service several times during our stay which arrived promptly and was very good. The pool is on the small side I suppose but very nice and relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs around. I've seen some reviewers complain about too much chlorine in the pool but I didn't feel that and besides, you need a lot of chlorine to keep it sparkling clean. Another bonus for us was that we were allowed to enjoy an occasional cigarette on the balcony without being treated like criminals. The balconies are very private with thick walls on both sides and above, so if you can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke you will not be affected by it. In our opinion, Ocean Key Resort is the perfect place to stay and we can't wait to go back!

Ocean Key Resort was the right choice for the four of us. The location is exactly where we wanted to be; it was walking distance to sites, excursions, food, drink, and shopping. The room was large and updated and comfortable, and we enjoyed our balcony. We had several breakfasts at the hotel's Hot Tin Roof and spent relaxing afternoons at the very nice pool with its bar that served Sunshine Lemonade drinks and offered a great view of the turquoise waters of Key West. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and professional, and the rooms were serviced in a timely manner. Needless to say, we highly recommend this hotel in Key West.

The pool is heated. We didn’t take advantage of it though. Many folks did, however.
We had a fridge & mini bare in our suite. Thoroughly
loved our stay there.
