So, funny story. I booked this resort by Googling "All Inclusive Resorts In Key West". The Pier House came up and after checking them out, I called them directly and booked. This was about 5 months prior to our vacation. For whatever reason, I called about a month prior to our vacation to confirm things, only to realize that the hotel is NOT all-inclusive. Silly me! This is a VERY expensive hotel, (over $1000/night with taxes) but the error was mine and we decided to stay anyway. We had a fabulous vacation! Our room was lovely. The shower fantastic. The bed was delightful. We spent a great deal of time at the pool and loved it! The staff was great! The location was near Duval Street and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Pool side drinks and lunch service was delicious although I would suggest they do something about the assertive iguanas who want to share my lunch. Many guests had a daily problem with the iguanas. I came to the conclusion that if you want a quality, high-end place in Key West your need to pay for it. I found it to be worth the money. Thanks for a great vacation!…
There are parts of this hotel that I was willing to past (ie. Outdated rooms, broken shampoo dispenser, old window AC unit), however, what the hotel lacks in amenities should be made up by the staff. Unfortunately this just was not the case. Danny (pool towel guy) was super rude when I asked for towels for my spouse and kids. He said “I don’t believe you have this many people” and promptly followed me to where my family was and then dropped the towels in the chair and walked off. The other pool guy (blond guy) closed my umbrella while I was still sitting by the pool because it was the last 30 min the pool was open. The wait staff was hit or miss. Bartenders were awesome and friendly but restaurant staff were unfriendly and slow. Front desk staff also a little cold to us but maybe they were having a bad day? For $700 plus a night I expected more from the staff alone. Unfortunately we won’t be back.…
We enjoyed 3 night stay in beautifully appointed one bedroom king suite in the Spa Building. It was located on the second floor (w no elevator- did not mind taking the stairs). The suite was extremely spacious with two balconies (one Juliette and other with room for two chairs), pullout sofa, several oversized chairs, small dining table w/ stools, wine frig, 1.5 bathrooms, and artistic touches on the walls and lighting fixtures. It was possibly an “accessible” room given the double door entry. Housekeeping was reliable, servicing our room, changing towels (soft and fluffy) each day, even leaving complimentary water bottles during the boil water advisory. Robes were plush. Wish there were room slippers though. Spa rain shower was amazing. Beach attendants and bar server were professional and attentive, securing adjacent beach lounge chairs (w towel covers and beach towels). Beach was nice, but small. The lobster sliders served beachside were delicious. Front desk staff were great, granting us early check in and one hour complimentary late checkout. Parking on site was easy. Location was very convenient- close to shops on Duval Street, Sunset @ Mallory Square, Bagatelle, Kermit Key Lime Pie Shop, Conch Republic Seafood Company, and many other good restaurants. We walked to Southernmost Point and Hemingway House. The only negative is the price (high season and mandatory daily resort fee $$) and the lobby which felt dark and underwhelming, given the high room rates. But we spent little time in the lobby and thoroughly enjoyed our living accommodations & stay @ Key West.…
I chose this hotel primarily for its location but I will come back because of the way I was treated. All of the staff I encountered were great. Especially the ladies at the front desk. I made a mistake when I made my reservation and made it for the month prior to our visit. Thus I showed up at the hotel without a reservation. The front desk staff worked hard to locate a comparable room for our stay. Because of the circumstances, the hotel could have charged almost any amount for the room but they gave us a rate that was more than fair. I felt like a fool for my mistake but the staff made me feel better and didn't laugh at me as I deserved.
My stay was a huge disappointment for our time in Key West. We arrived to an immediate check in which was nice but when i got to the room their was hairs [ pubic gross ] on toilet. Back to front desk to address this issue and we received a new room. The new room was clean but had a noisy AC unit that actually had to be replaced. While i appreciated the replacement AC and clean room for $844 i expected more. The room was run down and didn't meet my expectations nor was it worth the money spent.
We had 3 groups scheduled to visit Key West over a 2 week period. We contacted the hotel several months prior to our trip and they were so accommodating. Kim was our main contact and she worked endlessly to help make our trip terrific. The first group was 42 rooms and everyone was happy. The next two groups were smaller and they were very happy as well. All of the wait staff and housekeeping staff were phenomenal. Nick was outstanding in his service. The rooms were very comfortable, the food and drinks were delicious and pool and beach area were wonderful. We are planning next year’s trip and Kim is full of ideas for us already!!
Key West is my happy place and part of that is due to the Pier House. We have been staying here on and off since 2010 and have never had a bad experience. What is there to love? The location! It’s in the heart of everything- Duval, Mallory Square and the historic seaport so it’s an easy walk anywhere. The grounds are also so lush and tropical so you feel like you’re secluded when you want some peace. I also love that it’s on the water and there is a great beach bar. We had positive encounters with all the staff, several of whom have been there for years. The only drawback, but to be expected in Key West, was the loud wake up calls from the roosters every morning! An interior room may be a little quieter that faces the pool or the gardens. Can’t wait to return to Key West and to the Pier House. Thank you for another great stay.…
We’ve stayed at many a resort on Key West. We booked this trip- solely for this beautiful heated pool. Sadly on the first day, after an hour enjoying our chairs in the sun, a towel attendant suggested we (and another couple) leave our chairs as he’d taken a tip to secure five chairs together. So low budget! Worse - when I declined his suggestion, he couldn’t figure it out. When the group arrived he pointed to me and told those guests I was giving him a “hard time”. Be better! Way way better!
We stayed 3 nights at the Pier House in February 2023, and had a great experience. We arrived late after a long travel day, and Jason and Dianne got us quickly checked in. Our room, however, was located just outside the Chart Room Bar, so it lacked privacy and had potential for noise. We asked for another room and were happily accommodated. Thanks for that! Further, as we chatted with Dianne and mentioned we were on a 60th birthday trip, Dianne took care of us and treated us very well! The room/bathroom were clean and nice-no complaints. The pool, beach, restaurants/food were all great, as was the service. To top it off, this hotel is in the best location to venture out in Key West. We'd definitely recommend it and stay here again!
We arrived around 12Pm and got checked in, but the room was not ready. However, the desk held our bags, and we were free to use the facilities. They give you a wrist band to wear to identify you as a guest at the pool and beach. The beach bar and One Duval are open to the public. Very good food as well! The ground are very welcoming with loads of tropical vegetation, waterfalls and a lovely turtle pond. Overall, very well-manicured and clean. The pool area was very nice; a mix of shade and sun and nice wicker loungers with terry cloth sheets and towels all provided. Pool side drink service was prompt and friendly. Water temps ideal! The small beach was excellent! Again, chairs, towels and food and beverage service provided. The servers were all very nice. Linda was delightful and always there with a smile! The beach was well maintained, no seaweed and nice sand! Water was very clear! The Ocean front king room in the beach building was pretty basic but decent size. The 2-chair balcony was small, which was slightly disappointing but no a big deal. The Mattress was comfy, but the bed platform was noisy. The AC was very noisy, so we found if you put it on low it was much better. Towels in the bathroom were very soft and fluffy! The rainfall shower was also a nice feature. There is a safe, mini fridge and Keurig which housekeeping stocks with 2 waters per day and coffee pods. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel! The beach was a huge hit with us, and the service was excellent. I would certainly go back. You can't beat the location, the service, the amenities. …
