Perhaps nothing is more "Key West" than the Pier House Resort and Spa -it's like no other. Elegant accommodations, lush gardens, a private beach, a selection of restaurants and bars, a full-service spa and a for real let-your-hair-down attitude all come together in a tropical escape that simply can't be duplicated.

This was our second year staying at the Pier House. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach area is amazing, with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas (don't forget to tip the beach staff,) and a great area for swimming complete with a floating dock. Bring your masks and snorkels- lots of fish to see on each side of the beach. We saw a sting ray, two nurse sharks, a manatee, crabs, and a ton of fish. It was an ocean- lover's dream come true. There are also a few Iguanas that hang out around the beach area. I know Floridians don't like them b/c they aren't good for the ecosystem, but it's cute that they come out toward the chairs as soon as they get a whiff of food. The beach staff were really nice- we loved Pek- he went above and beyond for us, and always had a smile on his face. He would put our umbrella up/ down when he saw us struggling with it, and knew which spot we liked best on the beach when we came down in the mornings to set up for the day. The beach servers are great too- we noticed one of the servers (she has blonde hair- can't recall her name) was working there last year too. She remembered our room number and our favorite drinks day after day- she was awesome! The grounds of the Pier House are beautiful- the garden area has a cool fountain, a turtle/ coy pond, and so many gorgeous flowers and plants. I normally like oceanfront rooms when we travel, but a garden room here is just as beautiful. Opening our patio door in the mornings to see the gorgeous greenery as we drink our coffee- ah, it was so wonderful. The only negative aspect of our stay was something that really didn't sit well with everyone in our party- the Pier House doesn't seem to be doing their part to conserve the ocean and ocean life. They use plastic straws in their beach drinks, and during our stay we pulled at least 10 straws from the ocean. I'm really surprised they don't use paper straws or no straws at all. Or maybe offer guests to purchase metal or silicone straws to use during their stay then take home with them. I really was shocked by this. There is also no trash can or bag on the floating dock. Irresponsible guests leave their trash on the dock and don't bring it back to the beach to throw away. That may be how all the cups and straws end up in the ocean. It was pretty terrible. There are also lots of pretty cool floats for guests to use in the ocean, however, they are filled with tiny white Styrofoam balls, and several of the floats had holes in them, so the small balls were leaking EVERYWHERE into the ocean. It was heartbreaking trying to gather up as much as we could to remove it from the ocean. They were the perfect size for the wildlife in that area to eat or get trapped in their noses, gills, etc. I also wish they would post signs asking guests not to handle conchs and other wildlife. We saw several people actually removing conchs and other sealife such as large hermit crabs from the water. We saw two people actually take conchs up onto the beach to show them to other people in the party and take pictures with them. It was heartbreaking. I really wish they would post a sign advising that it is illegal in Florida to handle Conchs and state the dangers and harm this poses to the wildlife. Over all we really enjoyed our stay. I just wish the Pier House would be more responsible and do their part for ocean conservation and wild life preservation. A trash can on the pier/ dock, floats that don't leak hazardous waste into the ocean, signs advising of wildlife safety, and no straws or offering straw purchases would make a world of difference.

We stayed here for four nights while meeting friends in Key West. The location cannot be beat! Walked everywhere or took their shuttle down Duval Street. Used the gym twice and it had treadmills, ellipticals and free weights. Spa looked nice, but didn't get time to try it out. Beach bar had great service and views. Concierge was very helpful. Always worry about noise in Key West and our room in the beach building was very quiet. I do recommend Grand Cafe, The Commodore and A&B Lobster for dining. All were terrific. We did a 6 hour sailing charter through Island to Island and it was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Key West!

We visited pier house from the 7-12 July and overall had an excellent stay. Ola working the pool bar was fantastic and very attentive. The front of house staff always had a smile and a warm welcome. They were always on hand to help whenever you needed it. This also goes for the pool and parking attendants. Always attentive and happy to help. The only downside for us was the AC which was very very noisy, and barely cooled the room. The power shower however was absolutely awesome. I do feel for this stay, the cost per night is a little on the pricey side and could be revised slightly. Please consider adding some floor coverings and room slippers to the rooms. It would add an extra feeling of comfort, that would make a nice difference.

Last week we stayed at the Pier House Resort &Spa for 3 nights. It was our first trip to Key West. The resort was top notch! Rooms were beautifully decorated and immaculate. The air conditioner worked great and was a life saver with the very hot and humid weather!! The staff in the lobby was friendly especially Roman who helped us with our bags to our room. Grounds were beautifully landscaped and pristinely maintained. Pool and beach/ bar areas were well serviced. Had dinner at One Duval which was delicious. Just want to send special kudos to Lou Giammona who was our shuttle driver. He was so friendly and courteous to us. Genuine nice guy!!! Location convenient to Duval St. and Sunset Pier. Definitely would visit again in the future and recommend your resort to others! Thanks for making our Key West trip so memorable!!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We did not have a view but we really did not have time to spend sitting on balcony. The bar and beach both have great views. The location was so close to everything that we could walk almost everywhere. I would definitely stay here again!
