As you turn down the street to The Perry, you pass some mobile homes, before pulling in to a nice looking hotel. The hotel appeared well kept, clean, and staff was friendly. We had booked the Commodore, one of their largest rooms, for our honeymoon. One of the frustrations was that several times, including after our check in, housekeeping carts were cluttered in the hallway near our room. The room was large though and styled nicely as we had seen in the pictures. We realized later that day though unfortunately, the walls were thin as we heard the room next door quite clearly. We also found there was not a microwave for leftovers which was frustrating. The tv also had a limited selection of channels and on rainy days we didn’t have options to movies or streaming services like Netflix. Overall the three restaurants on site were good and priced comparably for the area. The one downside in relation to food is there is not any room service. While I understand in part due to COVID, it still took away from the value of the room as the other things i I mentioned above. The main pool is heated and a nice break from the touristy stuff. They do have pool side service till about 4:30 most days too. In the end, it was one of the nicer hotels on Stock Island, located about 15 min from the heart of Key West. I would say we didn’t find the value overall in the Commodore though. I think the smaller rooms for the value would have been a better choice, if not for our honeymoon. All aside, I’d give it 3.5 stars for what we were expecting. If the things I mentioned don’t bother you, then maybe explore some of their smaller suites for the best value.…
We were blown away by the amenities and the amazing staff at this resort. We had visited years ago, but they've really taken everything up a notch. The service was spectacular, and the food was so good that we actually changed dinner plans for the trip to eat at the Stock Island Kitchen again. The Banana Bread pancakes are a must. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. We had a marina view on the 3rd floor and enjoyed the sunrise every day. The pools are heated and were great even when the weather dipped and got a little chilly for a day. Dog friendly resort with lots of friendly pups around. We loved the multiple fire pits and lounge areas around the resort. I was also a big fan of the hammocks in front of the coffee shop. They offer various boat/jet-ski/charters from the marina. We did a sunset cruise and will most definitely do it again on our next trip.…
The resort is absolutely fabulous. I was on business but had a terrific 4 day stay. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the staff, and although I had a flight delay which had me arriving late into the night, the staff were engaging and helpful. The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were stunning. Cannot wait to bring my wife back to this hotel where we can enjoy the amenities.
My family and I sailed our boat down to Key West and stayed at The Perry Hotel / Stock Island Marina for a month. The staff are excellent! In particular Brian & Mike from the Fuel Dock and Slip area. These guys helped us get in and out of our slips and on and off the fuel dock smoothly several times throughout our stay. The marina facility is clean and functional. There is a West Marine shop about 3/4 of a mile away making working on small boat projects east and efficient. We will definitely stop over here again. The pools are great, the dog area is wonderful and the food & drinks at the bars are good too. JT San Francisco CA
Was definitely not a resort. We’ve stayed at nice resorts. This was an overpriced holiday in. Service was poor, food was not worth it and everything closes down early. We had even mentioned to each other it felt like a retirement home with how early things closed down. Would not recommend at all.
The Perry Hotel and Marina has been our “home away from home since 2019 because of its outstanding service and attention to detail. We are the Florida-based representative for retail Bali Catamarans sales and sail between Fort Lauderdale and Treasure Island, Florida for deliveries. Then charter our boats back and back and forth to the Keys. The conditions for our boats and our customers are our number one consideration. The Perry Marina’s floating dock and dock-hands Brian and Mike help to keep our boats safe. They are helpful and courteous to our guest. Reservations are easy with the attention of Sara and Chase. Once at the Hotel, we enjoy poolside service, live music, and hotel amenities. When it’s time to head downtown, the Perry Hotels shuttle makes it a very comfortable 20-minute ride to the A&B Lobster House. It is for us, the best of both worlds having the peace and serenity of the Perry Hotel in Stock Island with access to the bustling tourist activity that makes Key West great. …
I have owned my Dufour sailboat since 2016 and sailed extensively to marinas throughout the midwest in addition to The Florida Keys, Cuba, The Bahamas, and various destinations across the Gulf of Mexico. To say that The Perry Hotel & Marina stands out as a bright spot is the understatement of the century. In addition to its very deep channel approaching the marina, the marina itself is also quite deep and has absolutely ZERO obstructions we've found since docking here over the past 1.5 years. The floating docks are meticulously maintained, the dock team is exceptional to work with, and the friendly marina/hotel staff and leadership are always looking to go above and beyond to make sure we're happy. From extra pump-out requests to assistance fueling and docking, responsiveness to maintenance requests, and everything in between; the team here is truly second-to-none. But the marina is only the start! The onsite amenities are just steps from where our boat is docked. From a coffee and ice cream shop to daily live music at lunch and several happy hours across the property, docking here is a real treat. Did I mention the FREE live concerts on the weekends at the event lawn? Those shows are LEGIT, and we can enjoy them from the back deck of our boat, too! We've been here for about 1.5 years and have no plans to leave anytime soon. If you're docking in Key West, go no further than The Perry Hotel & Marina!…
Front desk staff were unfriendly upon arrival and had little to no knowledge on Marina, docking, boat trailer parking or really anything. Once getting settled into our room we noticed spilled syrup around the refrigerator area as well as a foot print with what seemed to be sprayed sunscreen all around it on the door. Most definitely not the clean, relaxing welcome we were looking for on our honeymoon.
My wife and I decided to stay at the Perry Hotel and Marina for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed . From the excellent service from all hotel staff , amenities and general friendliness of all involved it made for a wonderful experience.
Enjoyed the hotel and marina. Short trip to Duval Street and Southern Most Point. Have stayed various places in Key West but like The Perry a lot as a top choice. The Great Lakes Coffee Shop is perfect to grab morning Java and a snack.
