H2o Suites Hotel garners praise for its attentive service and complimentary perks, despite occasional remarks about lackluster front desk interactions. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and upscale amenities, opinions on their value for money vary, with some guests feeling the cost is justified and others less impressed.
The hotel's prime location is a highlight for many visitors, as are the amenities, including private pools and rooftop bars. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is often described as relaxing and private, with a consistent commendation for its cleanliness.

This was our second stay at H2O. My husband and I first visited last last September. My review of that visit is titled “A hidden gem in the heart of Key West”, posted on September 17, 2023. It has all the wonderful details of our first visit! My husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to come back again for New Year’s Eve. We pulled into H2O’s covered parking and went to check in. Steve greeted us at the front desk and offered us some sparkling wine and bottled water. He showed us to our suite, which to our surprise had been upgraded to a Premier Luxury Suite with a private plunge pool and front patio with a sofa swing! WOW! Just when you think something can’t get any better… Steve then helped us bring in our luggage and we settled in before heading out to dinner. We were surprised with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge along with the homemade muffins that come with the nightly turn down service. We walked through the tropical courtyard and past the fire pit as we hit Duval Street to enjoy the nightlife. We returned to our suite early and had a great night’s sleep in preparation for celebrating New Year’s Eve the following day. The king bed is divine and the soft, comfy robes and slippers are an extra bonus. After breakfast we went up to the rooftop pool. The bartender, Scharm, offered us complimentary mimosas which we enjoyed as we lounged around the pool. The big screen tv over the bar was tuned to the NFL playoff games. We had a relaxing afternoon on the rooftop and then got ready to meet some new friends for dinner. We came back briefly to change clothes and we had another surprise waiting. A bottle of champagne along with hats and noisemakers! New Year’s Eve in Key West is an event unto itself so I won’t go into details. We came back soon after midnight because it was really chilly out and we wanted to enjoy the plunge pool. It’s set at 98 degrees and, believe me, it was fantastic! New Year’s Day was spent lounging in our suite watching football. The atmosphere at H2O is a feeling of a quiet, peaceful, private enclave within the craziness of Key West!Another night on Duval Street and then Tuesday morning was time to leave. We can’t wait to return to H2O this summer for our third visit and whatever new surprises await!

My husband and I celebrated out 25th wedding anniversary in May in Key West, Florida. Ray from Ray's Travel Company helped us choose the perfect destination (due to the covid pandemic we decided to travel with-in the US).
We stayed at H2O Suites located on 1212 Simonton Street. This is an adult only hotel that caters to your every need. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne when we arrived. The property is beautiful, clean, modern and has an excellent staff. It is quaint as it only has 22 rooms with a nice rooftop bar and pool. Our room had a private plunge pool and was located on the first floor, while relaxing in our private pool we could hear the water from the water fountain in the courtyard.
Our room had two televisions and a fridge/freezer. We were supplied with complimentary bottles of water each day as well as Dove ice cream bars in the freezer. Each evening at the turn down service we were given two muffins to enjoy for breakfast the next morning.
The bartender at the roof top bar was excellent, during the morning and afternoon they offer complimentary drinks and snacks. Because the hotel is small you have an opportunity to see the same guest every day and become acquainted. Towels are provide at the pool for both the lounge chairs and to use to dry off with and/or take to the beach. The hotel is in a great location as it is with in walking distance to great restaurant and shops.
We used uber a few times but chose to rent a golf cart during our stay to get around the island. The golf cart was lots of fun, easy to park and a great way to see the island. They are a little pricy and every time you park you are looking at about $10 but we really enjoyed it.
We rarely splurge on fine dining so one goal of our trip was to enjoy some good food. Key West definitely delivered. I highly recommend making reservations as all places are under staffed and more people are vacationing now and choosing to stay in the US. We ate at A&B Lobster House (the Lobster and Bananas Foster were amazing), Duetto Pizza and Gelato, Blue Heaven, Frogarty's, La Grignote Cafe and Bistro (the french toast) and Southernmost Beach Cafe.
We enjoyed a massage at Ocean Wellness Spa, visited the Southernmost Point Continental USA, took at 90 Minute Jet Ski Ride, went Parasailing with Sunset Water Sports @ Smathers Beach, took a Sunset Cruise (A must), and enjoyed a beach day at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.

We stayed at H2O Suites for one night during our anniversary trip to the Keys. Everything was wonderful and we wished we would have stayed longer. Check in was seamless with a friendly gentleman at the front desk. We were offered a glass of champagne (in a disposable cup for safety reasons) and taken to our room. The room is gorgeous (modern and clean) and the plunge pool was amazing. We ordered pizza to our room for dinner so that we could enjoy the pool that evening. The main pool is very nice and gets a good breeze being on the rooftop. They offer complimentary snacks as well as drinks at the pool bar depending on the time of day. Carol up at the pool bar is amazing! So nice and friendly. We had a wonderful time chatting with her. I would not hesitate to book here again when travel to Key West in the future.

We opted for the 2nd floor room, and so glad we did as the foliage provided privacy and nature was just outside our balcony. Our room #14 had a front and rear balcony and we enjoyed our complimentary muffins (nice tough during turn down service) each morning while having coffee with the birds and wildlife that wandered our way. So many little surprises, I hate to ruin it for you...drinks at the pool complimentary, welcome glass of bubbly or kir royale, frozen dove bars in the freezer (next to your cute little ice maker)...Loved everything about it. The location is fantastic as well, we walked everywhere and southern most point is very close yet you're far enough off of the heavy traffic area of Duval party section. Staff was very helpful, made dinner reservations for us. I can't wait to go back and stay longer, 2 nights wasn't enough. The grounds are beautiful, with a fire pit and fountains and the design was so architecturally interesting, I was in awe of how they put so much charm and amenities into the small footprint. Beds were very comfortable, rooms large with great bathrooms and storage.

We stayed at H20 Suites for 3 nights while in Key West celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. Our experience was outstanding. The hotel is small; there are no grand lobbies or expansive courtyards, but that made it more special in my opinion. I'll take meticulous attention to detail over cherubs and columns any day.
The rooms are generously sized and well appointed. The suite area was fully stocked and included a bar sink (how nice to have a sink separate from the bathroom!) and separate refrigerator and freezer drawers, which actually kept things cold, unlike most hotel room minifridges. They stocked the freezer with Dove bars, and provided K-cups (with sufficient cream and sugar) along with muffins each day. The bedroom area had a ceiling fan, which was a lovely alternative to the typical noisy and sporadic hotel A/C (although the A/C worked great too).
Speaking of fans, let's talk about the bathroom! Generously sized and well-appointed, with double sinks and a vanity area, one of the highlights was a separate water closet with its own fan and light. Anyone who has ever stayed in hotel room with their spouse can appreciate what a little insulation and white noise can do for your comfort! Definitely a nice touch that most hotels don't consider. They also provided robes and plenty of soft, oversized towels, which were restocked daily without asking (and didn't smell like bleach, unlike most hotel towels). The turndown service each day was lovely.
The hotel pool was fantastic. We loved the rooftop setting, which was unusual and fun. The bartender was outstanding, making sure we had plenty of towels, chair covers, beverages and snacks. The complementary happy hour drinks and snacks were terrific.
We enjoyed the location, which is at the end of Duval Street - near enough to be part of the action, but not right in the middle of it. I was surprised by how quiet, peaceful and serene the hotel felt despite being at the end of the busiest street in Key West. No real water views or access, however.
Lastly, the staff at this hotel is exceptional. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make it a special experience. We would definitely stay here again and will certainly recommend the hotel to family and friends.

We just stayed at H2O Suites for a long weekend. We were booked in a balcony room for 2 nights and a plunge pool room for 2 nights, both were gorgeous! The landscaping was relaxing and beautiful, with artistic water fountains and evening fire. We arrived on Valentine’s Day and were greeted with complimentary hand dipped chocolate strawberries and a bottle of champagne. As a long time resident I know the inventory of Key West and what is available for the price, so I was very discerning with where I would be willing to stay. After getting a tour with Chris, I was sold on the beautiful property. The employees were very professional and accommodating. Chris went out of his way to book a sunset cruise last minute for us through Barefoot Billies. The boat ride was beautiful and the crew was so fun. We spent many afternoons at the rooftop pool. Carol was a pleasure to talk to and she was so gracious in taking care of us by providing drinks and snacks that were also all complimentary! The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are so many great food options in key west that it’s not necessary. They spend the money in better ways creating an amenity rich environment where they are not nickeling and diming you at every turn. As a hotel that allows only guests 25 years and older, the pool was so relaxing. We enjoyed meeting and talking to people from all over, which added to the great experience.
I would recommend h20 suites to anyone who wants to have a fun and relaxing trip. Best part? They always replenish Dove ice cream bars in the room freezer!

My wife and I just stayed six magnificent nights at this hotel! We usually go to a Couples all inclusive hotel in Jamaica but had to miss it because of Covid-19. H2O made us feel as if we were on the island. From the moment we stepped into the office, Lucie met us with a glass of champagne and a warm, kind and cheery welcome. She was gracious to show us around the hotel and then to our room where we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne on ice, for my retirement celebration, and balloons for my wife’s birthday. The room was absolutely modern, clean and beautiful for this gorgeous chic boutique hotel. The large walk in shower, lovely balcony, freezer stocked in the evenings with little Dove bars along with fresh muffins, candy and water left on the counter during turn down service reminded us of going to a 5 star all inclusive resort. Plenty of privacy, cleanliness and extremely comfortable! The outdoor pool, on the top of the hotel, was also exquisite! Always clean, clear and refreshing. Morning happy hour at the pool bar included mimosas and bloody Mary’s and in the afternoons wine along with chips and dips. Carol, the bartender was phenomenal!
The whole front desk personal were so helpful (Lucie, Samoy, Tanisha, Hamza, Vilma, Adam, Angelica and Gladys) always had great suggestions for eating. Also, Scarla and Anna took care of our room with turn down service every night. If you are going to Key West without children this is a must place to stay for a romantic vacation.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon in Florida. We had a first floor suite with balcony and the room was superb.
We were greated at reception with a glass of fizz and shown to our room by Sabrina. Complimentary water is provided each day, along with ice cream bars in the freezer and muffins and chocolates after turn down each night.
The room was very big with a tv in the bedroom AND lounge area. The bathroom was huge with a double sink and dressing table area, and there were loads of towels provided each day and refreshed in the evening if need be. The balcony was very private as shaded by lots of greenery. The bed was very comfy! Everywhere was spotless.
The pool area is beautiful and clean, plenty of loungers about and the drinks at the bar were great. Free drinks off a set menu between 11-6pm.
The location of this hotel was perfect for us. It is in the old town, and after walking around Key West for a few days, it is definitely the nicest area. We walked down Duvall Street towards Mallory Square some days and it just doesnt have the charm of the old town. There is lots on the doorstep, lovely cafes for breakfast and supermarkets with the bars and restaurants less than a 5 minutes walk away. There are chickens and roosters walking freely around the streets which is brilliant!
We absolutely loved our visit to this place, it was like nowhere we have stayed before. It wasnt cheap but was worth every penny! Would not hesitate to recommend this luxurious hotel to anyone and would love to come back here ourselves in future!!

We stayed over New Year's 2022 and were pleased that H20 met our expectations, especially when paying peak demand prices! Wow - so clean, fresh, relaxing, and quiet! Just a block off of the southern end of Duval, it was the perfect location. The staff were all superb and professional. We enjoyed the daily muffins and ice cream bars. This may be the best-appointed hotel room that I've been in over the past few years. The bathroom has a large makeup mirror that even short, myopic people can reach easily. We booked the last room at the last minute and had absolutely the best service. Our second floor room was very quiet and we enjoyed having coffee on the balcony every morning. Frenchie's Cafe is steps away next door and we ate there for breakfast every day (it's delicious!). The landscaping is lush; the grounds are well-kept; and the gardener in the morning made sure it was swept clean and ready to go every day. The rooftop bar is fun and the bartender is helpful and a pure delight!

We recently stayed at the H2O suites, and had a great time. Lee, at the front desk, checked us in and showed us our room, and gave us a great orientation to it. She was super! The other front desk staff was also very good and responsive to our needs and requests. We asked about a maintenance issue, and it was taken care of when we returned later that day. We did have to ask for housekeeping one day, and that was also taken care of when we returned later that evening, even though we asked for it late in the afternoon. (housekeeping hadn't done our room that day)
The room we stayed in didn't have a plunge pool, but that was fine. Be aware that on the rooms on the lobby side of the hotel, the pools are not private in that you can see right into them. The pools on the other side of the courtyard are apparently more private since they are on the backside of the room, not the approach to the upstairs rooms side. (I'm assuming they're more private, but I never saw them.) The room is spacious, great bed, enough storage, nice bathroom, with a slightly complicated shower. There's both a drawer fridge and freezer (with Dove ice cream bars!!) There is a minibar--cold drinks in the fridge and snacks on the counter. I think they are expensive, and we didn't use the minibar. There are muffins supplied every night with turndown service, a nice touch. Bottled water is restocked every day, and there was fruit in the lobby and by the pool. We used the rooftop pool one evening and were the only ones there. It was such a nice temp for the water. There are towels by the pool. It was more crowded when I stuck my head up there during happy hour (11-6). The gym was small, but probably one of the best equipped ones I've seen, especially in a small hotel. It had free weights, a cable machine, 4 cardio machines, yoga balls, mats, with wipes for cleaning.
The location is good, on the quieter end of Key West, but still convenient to everything. It's close to the Hemingway house and the Southernmost point marker. If you don't want to walk to the other end of Duval, it's an easy Uber ride there. There are restaurants nearby, and we really enjoyed the Italian restaurant across the street. We really had wonderful stay.
