What a hidden gem! Rooms are very high end. Each room has a private balcony or splash pool. We have only stayed in the 2nd floor rooms with private balcony. The court yard has very lush tropical landscaping, providing a great private feeling on the balcony. With that said, the rooftop pool and pool bar are awesome. Every visit we meet great people and have awesome service.
What a gorgeous property, in every respect. The room/suite was large, well maintained, beautifully decorated and immaculate. The bathroom was luxurious with a great shower and water pressure. Heavenly! Our little plunge pool was also clean, heated and inviting although it is important to note that the room pools are semi-private as far as people being able to see you. Housekeeping was spot on and every request for towels or room items was immediately taken care of. The manager and personnel at the front desk were always friendly, helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The roof pool area is a joy, only made better by Hamzi; bartender extraordinaire. Fun, very social and again a fountain of information about every thing Key West. There are happy hours daily at the main pool. Free fruit and infused water in the lobby. This property is easy walking distance to Duval St but is quiet and out of the tourist fray. Uber is there in minutes so no worries in getting around. They have bikes and scooters for rent at the hotel and there are locations near to rent golf carts if you want. Our only wish would be that they had a restaurant onsite. They do leave you wonderful muffins for breakfast and the rooms have Keurig coffee makers and refrigerators. They still have that old hotel luxury standard of “turndown” service at night with chocolate squares left on your nightstands. This is an adults only property and perfect for a special occasion splurge stay like a honeymoon or anniversary. I love small hotels that wrap you in luxury and this fit that description. We’ll be going back. If you like Italian food then don’t miss the charming Abbondanza restaurant next door.…
impossible to sleep without ears plugs. they said that the problem is that the water level in the private pool went down and pumps start pumping all night. The other night it was like knocking above all the time. The other aspects in the hotel very good. Room size, amnities.pool reception, parking, location ,room size
We stayed here for 5 days to celebrate a significant birthday! The hotel is in a great location just 1 street off Duval St but at the quieter end which we appreciated. All the staff were very friendly, the room was clean & really well equipped with a fridge & freezer drawer. Pool area was immaculate & plenty of loungers/seats - Hamzi the bar manager was great & looked after us providing drinks & info on the best places to go in Key West. We preferred the upstairs suites which gave more privacy , however the plunge pool suites on the ground floor looked very inviting too! Paid parking is available on site & over the road if needed. We really appreciated the nice touches from staff/management on my birthday with balloons & fizz waiting for us in our room . Definitely a memorable stay & we look forward to returning! …
After staying at the four seasons prior to this, a high bar was set. So glad we stayed here. Staff and service was incredible, drinks were strong and inexpensive and the rooms were superb. We had a standard second floor suite and it was very nice. The pool was heated and very warm. Almost too warm but they said they were preheating it since it was dropping to the low 60’s the next few days. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a fantastic place to stay! Location is great, walking distance to about everything you would want to do. Hamzi at the pool bar is a gem! Be sure to try his Bloody Mary's (complimentary from 11-1). We had a blast and would definitely come back.
I cannot say enough about this hotel. It is tucked away in a quieter part of Key West. The rooms were so quiet. The balcony was wonderful to sit out on. Parking on site was a plus for the golf cart we rented. My favorite part was sitting at the pool after dark talking with my friends with a bottle of wine from the room. Front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. So were the pool employees. There were a couple nice restaurants within a block or so for total convenience. Would go back here in a heartbeat.
The physical facilities were first rate and the concierge staff was excellent!!!! Housekeeping was very unobtrusive and very efficient. H2O is also located in a great neighborhood with excellent restaurants for coffee and breakfast.
We stayed here over peak period between Xmas and NYE, so expected to spend a lot (over $1300/night). For that price- which some of the highest class hotels in the world charge- I think this hotel needs to give more. Below is what is good and not so good. What’s good: - Rooms were excellent. Large, clean, nice amenities. Plunge pool was amazing and very warm. - Housekeeping came early each day and did a great job. - Location is good, off Duval street but close to many restaurants. Keep in mind location is good but not great, because it’s not near the ocean. - Rooftop pool is large and also heated. - Pool attendants were on their game and efficient. What’s not so good: - Lobby looks like something out of a Motel 6. When we showed up 2 girls behind the desk. Neither rose from their seats and I had to stand on tippy toes to look down on them. For $1500 a night can’t they at least rise? THIS is where it’s clear there is a lack of hospitality training by the owners. Charge four season prices at least semi- train your staff. I’ve gotten more professional checkin from a courtyard by Marriott. - It’s a boutique hotel but there is no service. No one to help with bags, no restaurant, not room service, no nothing. I knew this going in but one has to wonder (again) how they charge that price w/o making it up with some other benefit. - There is no view from the rooms. Ground floor with pools look at a fence, upstairs room a courtyard. No ocean views, nothing. - The pool plays 80’s club music..LOUD. It’s the same 10 songs on repeat over and over. Not very peaceful to relax and read a book with speakers blaring in your ear. There also aren’t enough lounge chairs for the # of rooms. They have a lot of sitting chairs around the pool which is odd. - For a boutique hotel charging insane prices, nothing is free. A coke by the pool…$3. A Pellegrino water…$3. Can’t they even throw in drinks for free? - You can smoke outside your room. Each room given an ashtray. So for the prices, you have to smell smoke. - You can hear the neighbors having discussions via the vents in the room. I’ve stayed at B & B’s on expensive islands like Martha Vineyards that charge a fraction of this and at least you get breakfast. The owners must be making money left and right by charging so much but not offering anything. Frankly, Key West has a dearth of quality and upscale hotel which is why we picked this thinking it would be an entry into it. But really what we got was a really nice room with a pool with no view. I likely could have rented a whole house for this amount.…
We spent more than we typically do for a vacation hotel, but the experience was worth the additional cost. Service was very attentive. Room and property was very clean and well-maintained. Front desk staff and pool bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Key West.
