We spent 4 nights at the Parrot Key Hotel & Villas over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was fabulous!! E.J. Was very responsive and gracious when we checked in. The valet service was excellent. The room was great the back door opened up on to beach front. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Great hotel! Great staff. Liam was a life saver. Little off the beaten path which made me a little nervous but it was not a big deal at all. Hotel has shuttles and everything is a 7 min Uber ride away. This gem is tucked away in what may seem like an odd spot but when you are on the grounds enjoying one of three pools you feel like you are in a secluded paradise. Pleasantly surprised. We will go back for sure! The two bedroom villa is perfect when traveling with teenagers. All of the staff members are genuinely kind... Liam stands out as he took really good care of us. We checked into another hotel that was rated well in key west....one of the top ten hotels it was awful. We were desperate to find something else. We were so lucky to find Parrot Key and with Liams help we had the perfect room/villa. . And it was cheaper than the original hotel. Real gem!!!

We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle, checking into another hotel. We scrambled to find another hotel. We were very lucky to find Liam at the front desk. He took such good care of us. We were so lucky they had availability. We had the best vacation at this little hidden paradise. It was very clean and secluded. I felt very COVID-19 safe. Thanks again to the parrot key staff! Everyone was great!!

Arrived Wednesday, November 25th. Ordered room service in the evening. The food was DELICIOUS, but the waiter who made the delivery only brought one receipt FOR THEM and nothing for me. We initially signed the check, but I prefer tipping waited in cash, and my husband prefers paying in cash so we are not left with a bill when it's time to check out. So after signing the room service receipt, I told the waiter to wait at the door, grabbed money out of my husband's pants pocket, and paid 100% of the bill, PLUS TIP, in cash: almost $80. I then scratched out the tip amount and wrOte in "CASH" instead on the receipt as proof that we paid in full us tip. The waiter "appeared" to not understand me when I asked if he'd go get me the receipt to confirm that we paid 100% in cash. I immediately said to my husband "who brings food to your room without a receipt for the buyer"? Writing "CASH" on the receipt was my way to confirm cash was paid for the meal. I asked the waiter for a receipt and he said the one he had, he had to keep. I asked where my receipt was and really did not understand his response (accent), but did ask him to bring me back a receipt to my room, which would show we paid cash. I never heard from this waiter, so I vowed to check our bill with the front desk to confirm our bill showed EVERYTHING had been paid. Fast forward to today, I went to the check-in counter and they confirmed that bill was charged to my room. I explained all of the above and was told the kitchen manager would investigate and get back to me. My first call was from the front desk gentleman who I originally reported this to. He said, "the receipt showed I wrote [CASH] on it in the tip area... that I only paid cash for the tip and the food order was charged to the room". I explained the same as above and urged that "in no way would I have tipped their waiter the amount of the bill plus a tip, which would have been $80 for a $67 bill". He said he'd have the kitchen manager incest and get back to me. She did, about two hours later and said, "our records show you did not pay and our waiter only received a total of $20 in tips that day, so there's no way you could have paid the bill". I had to tell the manager that I was unaware of what their waiter reported, but only knew what I paid and WHERE WAS THE MONEY I PAID? She reiterated same as did I, and I further asked: "if your employee only received a total of $20 in tips, how much of that is he saying came from me?" I further advised that she check our bill and will find 100% of all our food purchases have been paid in cash, as was this food order. With an attitude I was told that the meal would be refunded to my card (mind you, I was under the impression that nothing is actually charged anyway until we check out). After I said "thank you" (for not charging me twice) she hung up. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! BE SURE YOU GET EVERY SINGLE RECEIPT FOR EVERYTHING YOU PURCHASED AT THIS PLACE! As a side note, Jared and Agnes, who are bartenders/waiter(ess) at their Grove restaurant ARE FREAKING FANTASTIC!!! THEY ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND APPEAR TO TRULY LOVE THEIR JOBS. PARROT KEY IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE THEM. ASK FOR THEM WHEN YOU VISIT THEIR RESTAURANT "THE GROVE". Other than the above situation, I'd still recommend this place because it's clean, the food is fresh and delicious and the staff (overall) are very attentive and keep the place up really well. Aside from the above rectified incident, a very laid back place to relax. (Apologies for any typos...typed from my cell phone).

We spent 5 days here at parrot key and had the best time. The service was fantastic and the staff was extremely friendly. There is plenty of places you can safely ride bikes too and eat which was a huge plus, along with doing jet ski rides from the location. The 4 pools are very relaxing and you can order food and drinks poolside. Ej was there to check us in with a friendly face, chris was there to tell us all the best deals on excursions, and branner was super eager to get our truck Valeted with a smile. It was relaxing and easy to get to duval street and a short drive to the beach. The only downside to the hotel is when someone is coming in and out of the doors you can hear it very clearly from your room. So sleeping in is a bit tough but not a deal breaker. I also recommend renting a scooter to go places or parking will add up in price... or you could get your car towed if you don’t pay attention. (Learned that the hard way) otherwise, fantastic trip and will go again!
