Azul Del Mar is a great and i mean GREAT place to stay. We stayed in early December 2020 in the Celeste room which is upstairs and faces the water. I don't quite remember how i found them on the web for my wife and I (anniversary/Scuba) trip - so glad we did. This is not a "typical" run of the mill Hotel -nor did we want to stay in the "typical" hotel room. I have read the reviews on here and am astonished at reviews that talk about all the things Azul Del Mar doesn't have - a pool, lobby, breakfast area, plush towels, nice toiletries items and so on. I'm sure for the occasional traveler these things may be important however, for anyone who regularly travels or wants a different type of experience - this is the PLACE. I'll give another example of why this place is so much better than a hotel. On day of check out, we drove to Ft. Lauderdale to stay the night to fly home the next morning. We booked and stayed at a Embassy Suites - which are fairly nice hotels. The minute we walked in and got to our two room suite - we both looked at each other and said we wished we would of booked our flights later in the day so we could stay an extra night at Azul Del Mar and drove to Ft. Lauderdale in the morning. Everything about the hotel and most hotels are generic furniture, bad lighting, beds that are well worn out, oh! and the missed dirty towel under the bathroom sink. In (most) hotels you hear the doors slamming shut in the hallways or loud talking, children running up and down the hallways, housekeeping knocking on your door - not here. No thanks, I would rather pay a little more and have a place that is unique, calming and peaceful. I don't quite remember how i found them on the web for my wife and I (anniversary/Scuba) trip - so glad we did. The owner Dominic met us out front when we arrived - showed us the grounds and our room. The grounds, deck over the water, seating outside, hammocks and common areas were pristine. In all honesty, i was a little nervous when we arrived at the hotel - didn't realize it was only six rooms. That nervousness was quickly washed away once we got into our room. So peaceful, relaxing and QUIET. My wife and both commented after the first night on how well we slept and how comfortable the bed was to sleep in. We didn't hear anything outside of our room the entire five days we stayed - other than when we open the door facing the water and listened to the palms trees in the wind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning in the spring.

The manager was very nice, helpful, really personable, our room was fantastic, we went for an ocean view and it was beautiful. We rented paddle boards for $10 each for up to 2 hours. The hotel has a little dock with chairs so we watched the sunset from there. He also had tables and chairs set up on the beach, so we played cards and drank wine right on the water... Highly recommend, we would stay here again!

This place was amazing! It was so hard to leave. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfy. The AC worked like a dream. The private beach was perfect, and the property grounds were gorgeous. The staff were all so nice, and Dominic, the host was so kind and had great recommendations on what to do. I will be back someday

We wanted a quiet especially "Clean" (especially during this pandemic)place to stay for a few days. This place was perfect.... The grounds were very nice and the small beach area was perfect to watch a sunset on their deck. The room was well equipped with everything we needed. Dominic the owner was very helpful in suggesting places to eat as well as taking us on a great afternoon in his boat to do some snorkeling. Everything was wonderful!! the only thing I would change is the mattress..Yes... I would highly suggest your staying here.... Thank you Dominic...
