If you are searching for a place to stay in Key Largo, look no further!!!! Bay Harbor Lodge & Coconut Bay is AMAZING!! My husband and I made our first road trip to Key Largo so we had no idea where to stay, but after reading the reviews of this resort, I'm glad we chose to stay here five nights! Our cottage was immaculately CLEAN!!! The location on the bay is perfect, plenty of chairs to sit by the water, free use of kayaks, we were able to snorkel from the beach area in the clear waters and watch incredible sunsets! The tropical gardens throughout the resort are beautiful, the pool was an extra bonus and the water temperature was just right! There are so many "best parts" about our stay at Bay Harbor, it's hard to name them all so I'm going to say that it was ALL perfect! Peg's scones were delicious!! Different flavors each day and we loved them all!! Jonathan always made sure we had everything we needed, and it was a pleasure speaking with him each day! The entire staff at the resort were welcoming, friendly, and hospitable!!!! We can't wait to go back!!!

Beautiful setting and views, cottages in front of the water, friendly and helpful staff, water toys, pool, and large area to play frisbee, restaurants and grocery stores nearby, small enough that you aren’t crowded but still able to visit with others, if you want. As stated, the scones and coffee (and other drinks) in the morning are sooooo delicious! When kayaking, we saw manatees and one floated underneath us.

This is a relaxing and low key boutique property. There are no resort fees, and you are able to use the kayaks and paddle boards without additional cost. Sometimes manatees hang out close to the resort, and we even saw a dolphin this year! Fresh scones every morning are a unique amenity, and there are typically several flavors. Peg will take requests the day before if there is a type of scone you're craving! Rooms are clean, and the pool is heated very well. It's a hidden paradise with beautiful landscaping and a nice atmosphere.

This property was a real find and we feel lucky to have found it. It made for an absolutely perfect vacation. Everything was easy. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. The property is exceptionally clean. Our little cottage overlooked the ocean. We enjoyed both the pool and the use of the kayaks. Thank you!!

Peg, Johnathan, Jo, and the staff will ensure your stay meets perfection. Rick and I highly recommend this resort; it is well cared for, comfortable, and has easy restaurant access. Each morning Peg bakes fresh scones served with beverages. We will be back!

A beautiful location with well-manicured grounds. We borrowed the kayaks that were provided for a quick trip upon are arrival and had a manatee and her baby swim under our kayaks. What a memorable experience. We capped it off by watching the sunset from the kayaks while a band played at a nearby resort.

When you find a little slice of paradise, you just keep going back. In 2017 my husband wanted real R&R and suggested we look into Key Largo. I googled lodging and found Bay Harbor Lodge & Coconut Bay Resort in Key Largo, a small family-owned resort. Hubby always said he couldn’t return to places no matter how wonderful because we needed to move on to new places, but Bay Harbor immediately became the exception, and our family just completed our 8th annual family outing and have made plans to return in 2025. You can just idle the days away by reading a good book from the lodge's great little library, biking, a lazy kayak outing, watching the bay wildlife from the dock, etc., or go full tilt with all the water activities and other opportunities in the Keys. Our oldest son always works in a sky-diving tandem jump at Skydive Key West. Guests are from many different places, and we always enjoy interacting with them, whether repeat guests like us or first timers (who often become repeat guests). And this is all because the owners and staff are the most caring and helpful around we have ever experienced--and the resort's atmosphere truly reflexes that!

This was our third time here and this time was just as amazing as the other ones, maybe more so. Our flight was delayed so we were going to be about 5 hours late for check in. When I called to let them know they were so nice about it and John actually stayed in the office past time and met us as we were pulling in. Helped us in with our luggage and everything. This is one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I've been. The grounds are well cared for, there is foliage and flowers everywhere. You can use the kayaks, which I highly recommend doing. If you're looking for just a chill place to get away this is the place. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was spotless and well maintained. I will never stay anywhere else in Key Largo. And of course....the Scones are to die for.

Our family had a lovely three-night stay here, and if we ever come back to Key Largo, we'll definitely stay here again. It was a peaceful place to just chill with no agenda. You can choose from a swim in the heated pool, take a little ride in a kayak or on a paddle board, or just stretch out on a lawn chair and enjoy the sun -- and observe the lizards that live there. At night, you can look up and see a sky full of stars (a treat for those of us who live in a city). Our family rented a cottage with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the kitchen (and grill) allowed us to prepare a couple of meals when we didn't want to venture out. There were also two big-screen TVs, and the office had various board games for lending (perfect for a family game night or during inclement weather). Last but not least, make sure to sample Peg's scones! They are divine. Peg was also willing to work with us due to a family member's food allergy, which was such a treat.

This is by far the most beautiful place to just sit back and relax. We have been going twice a year now for the past few years. They are constantly updating and adding more amazing amenities to this beautiful oasis. Every morning you are treated to the best scones and either, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or milk. Each day there are several different flavors of scones, if you have been going and have a favorite they make sure they have them on your first morning. Jonathon and his staff always greet you as if you are family. Peg who makes the scones is an amazing lady. You can go kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, canoeing, or you can just enjoy the sunset. The tiki huts are another place to relax. The swimming pool is heated and is very welcoming. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation at this most perfect place a little slice of heaven here on earth and in Key Lago.
