Charming with lush tropical landscaping. Enjoyed sitting on the dock enjoying the water & sun. Cottage #5 was very nice with nice water view. Peg's scones & coffee every morning were great! Free kayaks, paddle board, peddle boat. We will return. Larry & Jeanie
Great place to stay on your visit to the Florida Keys! Quiet, clean, relaxing and definitely a family friendly environment. The room we stayed in was small but fit our needs perfectly. The grounds were extremely well kept. If you want a quiet, relaxing stay this is the place for you. Fresh homemade scones and coffee served with a smile await you every morning. Highly recommend a visit here and we hope to be back!!
We love to stay at the Bay Harbour Lodge. The bungalows are brite, clean and cozy. The grounds are wonderful to walk through with beautiful landscaping and incredible views of the water. We always feel welcome and at home. The scones are amazing and the coffee delicious. The owners are truly genuine and generous. Thank you to everyone!!
This place is a great place to stay. The staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming. The rooms are exceptionally clean with comfortable beds and you don’t have to worry about running out of hot water when showering. The grounds are beautiful and every morning was a great having a fresh cup of coffee and Pegs delicious scones. The barbecue grills on the grounds was an added bonus along with cups, plates, silverware and microwave and refrigerator with freezer, right down to dish soap and dish towel to clean up afterwards. We are looking forward to staying here again in July.
Where to begin. This charming little hotel with cottages is set on a couple of prime acres set just off the highway. It was our home for 5 nights and 6 days. We booked Cottage 2 located steps from the water. The cottage has a queen bed and a pull out couch. 2 tvs, air conditioning and big fans. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook a meal. Beach towels are swapped out daily and due to Covid dirty towels are placed in a bag on your step and clean ones will be returned. On the grounds there are several spots to lay in the sun or choose a shaded spot to read a book. There is one pedal boat, 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards. All the equipment is in perfect condition. Depending on the time of day you may see manatee, dolphin, birds, fish, rays or the resident squirrels. The iguanas come as soon as the sun is out to warm up on the concrete. I treated them to carrots and celery during my stay. There really isnt a beach in the sense you can walk or lay out on it, its just an entry to the bay. Each morning Peg gets up early and makes scones and brews the coffee. She lists the flavors you can chose from on the window of her food truck where she serves from. You can taste the love that goes into each specially wrapped labeled treat. Scones and beverages are served from 8a-9:30a. One can’t help but notice the beautiful floral that is found throughout the complex. From blooming flowers to banana trees everything is tended to and perfectly manicured. We enjoyed this family owned and operated vacation very much. The pool is heated and open sunup to sundown. Speaking of the sun. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing from the back deck. What a great spot to look at the stars too. We were very fortunate that it rained briefly one morning and we got a rainbow in the bay. We rarely ever stay somewhere more than once but this is one place i could definitely see myself going back to again and again. Great location and unbelievable hospitality. Merry Christmas …
