We were attracted to KLSC because of the fact that each cottage rental came with a sailboat to use plus a ton of other water toys - how cool is that? I would not recommend this place if you want a pristine and fancy resort experience. But if you just want a place to lay your head at night after...

We stayed in two of the cottages, Sailfish and Hideout due to the relatively late date at which we made our reservation (more than a month would have been better.) Neither were available for all four days we were there. The weather was a little cold (but warmer than at home) and unfortunately there were small craft advisories most days...

I've been here twice, once in 2011 in the Manatee Cottage and once in 2013 in the Sailfish Cottage. The Sailfish Cottage is about 50 feet from the water and has one bed (hence the name 'honeymoon cottage). First and foremost, this is a sailor's resort. You pay a premium price for the room and the free use of a...

After five nights in February we could have stayed much longer. The managers, Felicia and Steven, get much of the credit; they maintain a very fun and relaxed atmosphere, and helped us get everything we needed on shore and on the water. Cap'n Mike and all of the volunteer staff were also very nice. If you like sailing and kayaking,...

Where to start? Free sunset catamaran sail- gorgeous. Paddle boarding and kayaking daily. Fun small beach. Manatee on site. Walk to Snooks for cocktails and to Mrs Macs (???) and best Key Lime pie on the Keys. Cafe Cubano at Denny's Latin. We rented the cottage 2 doors down and it was spacious. A little noisy due to Hwy 1...

If someone dropped you off here from the water you would be surprised to find you were right on US1 in Key Largo. Key Lime is a number of concrete constructed cottages along a short sandy drive that leads to a common water front area with tiki hut and two docks. The photos online are a good depiction. There are...

What a great hideaway! A cottage that comes with a sailboat - wonderful concept. But the cottage we had [mermaid cottage] was very dark, very little sunlight. Mermaid painting on the walls was cute. There were some bugs in the cottage (ants?) but it is Florida, so what do you expect? The boat [Linda Lee] was quite run down and...

I vacationed here 10 months ago, enjoyed it enough to book again (w a $500 deposit) and left a review that was generous for the camp. Today, 3 months after cancelling my reservation, I have not received the $425 they guarantee to return for cancelling. Paul and Mandy have lied to me on the telephone - "We sent the check...

Folks at Key Lime were willing to accomodate us when we called in early February by offering us the use of their 47 foot catamaran as living accomodations. But they really weren't set up to make it work easily, and had a lot going on that they had to juggle, including a scheduled sailing class, restrictions on their dock availability,...

My wife and I went for a much needed getaway. We stayed five nights in the Manatee Cottage and loved every minute! Our room had a king sized bed along with a bunk bed and a full kitchen including a good size refrigerator. There were some issues with the water pressure but it was workable. Stephen the manager warned us...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages is located on the Bay side of Key Largo. What makes us unique is our cottage rentals come with a free designated 22' sailboat that you can use for your whole stay, also included is the free use of kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, dinghies, snorkel gear, fishing gear and bicycles. Sail to the Nest Key island and experience the mud bath on the beach, or sail towing your kayak, then kayak through the mangrove jungle into the hidden lake where you will see manatees. Plus we do Sunset Cruises on a 40' Catamaran for our guests once or twice a week at no extra cost! Rates starts as low as $175 a night on our low season, each of our uniquely decorated and themed cottages comes in different sizes with king or queen size bed as well as bunk beds, and a duplex which can be converted to 1 big cottage that can sleep up to maximum of 13 people. Please Note: We try to limit each cottage to 2 adults per cottage so if you have larger group, please book early so we can make appropriate accommodations, as we like to keep our place quaint and casual for all to enjoy, we have a total of 9 cozy cottages spread out over 1 1/2 acres of land and a back yard equaling 100's of square miles of islands and waterways to explore. ... more   less
