We've stayed in room 208, with view of trees. I think most rooms will be mainly with view of some trees, as it seemed that only the suites at the back of the property, had water view. This room has been remodeled and looked nice and modern. Brand-new wall A/C worked well. The beds are full size not queen, so plan your stay accordingly. The room had a mini fridge (empty), a microwave. and a Keurig Coffee Maker with Starbucks pods. Tommy Bahama toiletries, like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap was provided. Smelled so nice! The lobby has a very nice Starbucks Coffee machine for guests!

Key Largo or any other keys in my opinion are not known for beaches, so don't expect a beach paradise because is not. You'll have a dock and lounge chairs all for your self, with a small entrance to the water.

The water sports equipment is great! There's several kayaks, single and double seats. There's also Stand Up Boards. My highlight was kayaking and snorkeling, thought the snorkeling wasn't really that good, so you may try to find another location to do that. But I was still able to see baby barracudas either snorkeling or from the pier.
The Sunset is beautiful there, perfection location for that.

There's a lot of options for restaurants arounf the property and off-site. Though the Thai-Sushi Restaurant and Snook's is not part of the hotel, they are basically on the property. Snook's was mediocre, some food options were hit and miss and alcoholic beverages rather expensive, but you're paying for the location though. If you're a Margarita connoisseur, skip the "Snookerita." The lobster salad was under par, though the vegetables were fresh and refreshing, the lobster was more like the soft inners of a lobster claw, I think you'll know whatI am saying if you're into lobsters. I've noticed the chap next to me ordered the same thing, and his lobster serving was rather nicer than mine.

Overall, this hotel is great to enjoy the sunset and boating!

First the bad. They place a sticker on the door saying room was sanitized. Well, we got in the room and took showers. There was hair all
Over the shower walls and hair on the floor and walls in the bathroom. That doesn’t not say sanitized to me. Sand all over the tile floors. They need new cleaning people. Especially in this covid state.

Pros: the little dock/beach area was nice. Paddle boards and kayaks there to use. Chairs and tables right on the dock. Very nice. Also, Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby.

After a couple of days in Key West we decided to spend one night in Key Largo to be a little closer to Miami airport for our next day's flight. Ratings were ok, price very affordable so we picked this place. Conveniently located, service was good and rooms clean and spacious. They charge a resort fee but we couldn't take advantage of the paddle board ,kayak our pool as they arrived late and left early . Uber driver told is this place was recently renovated. I liked it .

Loved our room #401! Very private, super quiet with the best soundproof windows. Oceanfront/pool view with a large balcony with comfortable seating and amazing sunset views! The room itself was large with a separate living room/fully stocked kitchenette/dining area all with recently updated furniture and accessories. The separate bedroom with king sized bed and bedding was very comfortable, We appreciated the safe in the closet space. Very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful with area suggestions. We really liked the convenience of the next door restaurant Snooks, probably the best in Key Largo. Location is oceanfront outdoor dining. Really felt like a tropical vacation. Live music every night and weekend afternoons too. Great happy hour cocktails and excellent fresh caught seafood. Very friendly service.

This is a smaller mom and pop type of hotel that is almost completely remodeled. Our room was roomy and very clean. New flooring and freshly painted. The view of the parking lot is't going to win any awards but this was one of the least expensive room we found far exceeds our expectations. Very comfortable beds, modern bathroom and TV. The pool is small but very well maintained, and a nice little beach, and inlet to borrow a kayak from. They provide them free along with life jackets, but the two person kayaks both needed repairs to seat backs. If you are looking for a clean and roomy place with good parking and great location and very reasonable rates, the Bayside is a great option.

This place was perfect for us. The location is great & there’s so much for the kids to do. The property is very well maintained, super private but located walking distance to everything you’d need. It’s clearly an older building and the rooms are nothing fancy but they’ve all been renovated and are very clean. If your looking for a fancy modern hotel this is not your place. If your going to key largo to enjoy the outdoors, the water , want things for the kids to do, a great location , super friendly staff & a nice room to crash in at night, this is the place for you. We will be back.

I almost hate to give my review as we hope to go back and we don’t want the resort booked. However the staff and location deserve a great write up.
So
Don’t let the Burger King across the drive throw you off. We actually walked over for breakfast one morning.
The resort sits back off the busy highway on a very quiet piece of Bayside Beach. The hotel is clean and well managed. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. Be sure to find Monique. The rooms are very clean and bright. Well equipped and surprisingly very quiet. There is a business center and separate well equipped exercise building. Be sure to enjoy sushi at the darling and popular restaurant on site. The hotel has its own private peninsula with a small lagoon with complimentary kayaking and paddle boards. The pool area looks out over the bay and is well designed and clean. Spend an hour in a hammock. If you have kids along they will find plenty of games and toys to pass the afternoon in the sun or shade. You can walk to the best tiki bar restaurant in the area by taking 3 steps left. It’s right there. Sunsets are fabulous from both locations.
Take the Tiki Bar Barge sunset cruise.
Off sight there are all sorts of shopping and dinning places to walk to.
We fell in love with the Bayside Resort and look forward to our return trip. Skip the crowds of Key West and pull over in Key Largo.

Despite the location (which is truly great) and the very friendly staff, the Bayside Inn Key Largo is a huge disappointment and not at all worth the cost. The rooms are tiny and lacking quality. The bathroom sink in the main area right next to the door (not in a bathroom) and the poor water pressure sure don’t help. Housekeeping was inconsistent (didn’t come at all one day because they were allegedly out of linens) and even though there is a mandatory additional “Resort Fee” that covers it, there were no towels (pool/beach or otherwise) one day. Speaking of beach, the advertised “private beach” is actually about 50’ of course sand between a couple rock walls and not very enticing. With a price easily twice as much as would have made it palatable…sadly, the recommendation is to simply not stay here. :(

We booked this place as we knew others that stayed and told us it was decent. We were to stay 4 nights, however on the third night as we were gone from the hotel all day doing activities we noticed cockroaches. I went down to the front desk and they moved us to a new room. I would have left, but they were noticed later at night and we had other family with us..we talked to the front desk in the morning and told them we were leaving.I was first told our whole stay would be refunded, then told they misspoke, then told only one night. I requested a refund on two nights as we moved rooms and it took forever and I was up half the night freaking out that I would bring them home and I was not willing to stay another night. They only refunded one night, when I asked how much they were refunding they gave me the runaround that I booked through booking.com and could not tell me. Their attitudes changed with us after we told them we were leaving. Their so called GM does not talk to anyone. I would never stay at this hotel, they never looked at our pictures or video of the cockroaches, did say they spray weekly for them. I was not happy with the staff or what they refunded.

Booked our room two months in advance to show up and find out they gave us the wrong room, which was less quality than the room we originally booked for. The lady at the desk said it was Expedias fault and that "some people show up and don't even have a room so be grateful". Management then came out and admitted it was their fault but were not able to give us a different room or a partial refund because "they usually go for 400+$ a night and we still got a good deal" So they offered us a free gatorade for our troubles....

I just returned from 4 wonderful days there ... No view from my room, but who cares? The beach/pool area has lovely views, with spectacular sunsets. We LOVED Snooks next door (every evening they ring a bell to celebrate the sunsets, and there's live music you can enjoy from Bayside Inn's beach, with your own beverages). It was perfect for a home base — centrally located — Only an hour south of Miami, and another hour to Key West — with so much beauty along the way!
