A delightful stay at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. The service was phenomenal. A very family friendly hotel, but at no point did I feel like hotel was overrun with children. A welcome reprieve from the chaos of South Beach. Top employees would be the Club Staff: Clinique, Isabella, and the two gentlemen in the evenings (I forget their names but one was French). The Club was a delightful place for breakfast and snacks and well worth the cost. Ask the servers to make you any cocktail and they will happily do so. I was also pleased to see Taitinger as the champagne option at the Club on the Beach. And Club on the Beach is wonderful! We spend lots of time on the beach and it was so nice just to hope over and grab a drink or a snack without having to leave. Restaurants: Lightkeepers has amazing food, especially if you like seafood. Their Thanksgiving buffet was enormous and well worth the cost. For something more casual, the Mexican restaurant was good. Rooms The rooms are looking a little dated. But the beds and linens were very comfortable. We moved to the Ritz Carlton suite and the second night and it was amazing! My only minor complaint was that the patio furniture on the room balcony was in rough shape and should be replaced. The spa was okay. Not the most luxurious spa that I’ve been to, but the massage itself was good. Overall, I will definitely be back and we are looking forward to making this our annual Thanksgiving tradition. I have been to a lot of 5 star hotels, but the service here sets this hotel far above others.

Good hotel in Key Biscayne, but far away from anything. Nothing walking distane. Rooms are good. Cantina, mexican restaurant was ok, nothing great. Expense for what it is. Lighthouse, which is the all service restaurant, was closed for business.

Full disclosure- we rented through an AirBB. But, that is the exact issue. Once the front desk finds out, they say they cannot help you with ANYTHING. Beyond checking in, they will not help you with anything. We had issues with key cards- must have gone through 30 of them in a day. The internet was down . We were there 2 days. The second they hear it is not a direct booking , they treat you like 2nd class citizens. At the price point, it is ridiculous. Want some ice? Forget it. A bar of soap? Nope. They need to come to terms with these arrangements and the owners. They are still getting a ton of money and they act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you at all. The end of the day, it is their facilities and they are charging a “resort fee” . I have not problem with that if granted resort services

We stay at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne several times a year. My in laws had flown in from Ireland and I can't thank Jay, Dana and Ryan enough who looked after us at check in and made this a memorable stay. We arrived early November and the hotel was not massively busy even at the weekend. The breakfast was great and all round service was excellent. Unlike other hotels the hotel provided a car to drop us off and collect us from the local restaurants in Key Biscayne which made my in laws lives a lot easier. On top of that the weather was great, we can't wait to come back.

This is our happy place. My wife and I have been coming here for probably the last 15 years, at least once a year, for three-night weekends. We come to do nothing. We don’t leave the place. There are three very good restaurants, four if you count the Cuban RumBar where they have a small menu. Plus a nice coffee shop that’s grab-and-go. Plus a little pizza truck. There are I think four different bars. There are two large pools. There is a narrow but lovely beach. The grounds are nice. The staff is nice. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we’ve had. They have both a rum sommelier and a tequila guy - each with their own bar. They have a lovely spa where you don’t need a treatment to use (with a gentleman who oversees it named Omar, who somehow recognizes me every time I come and with whom I talk about life and health and give a hug to before I leave). It’s easy to get to. It’s the only place in the Miami area that feels like a true beach resort that could be on some Caribbean island. It could use some refurbishing here and there, has some of the wear and tear you’d expect. But it’s relaxing and friendly and easy and I plan for us to keep going back at least once a year. Whether for couples or families, I can’t recommend it enough. We just love the place.

Last weekend we stayed at the beautiful RC at Key Biscayne. For Sunday dinner we had reserved IN PERSON earlier that afternoon an outside table at 6:30pm for 5 at Light Keepers. Upon arrival for dinner we were told by the greeter that there wasn’t a reservation under our name. We, of course, were furious at this and concerned that our dinner plans were falling apart. Upon hearing the commotion, Ali intervened and listened carefully to our complaint. She offered us an outside table, which wasn’t a premiere view as we had requested that afternoon while making the reservation in person, but lovely enough. She introduced our waiter James to us, indicating that he would take excellent care of us. Which he did. Ali checked on us several times throughout the dinner making certain that our evening was pleasant and that all our needs were met. Upon hearing that two of our meals weren’t exactly as described on the menu, she ordered those meals recooked & to go. She was extraordinary. She explained that she was only doing her job which was ultimately to please the customer. We have been to many highly regarded resorts which we have loved but the service Ali provided to us last weekend was outstanding. She deserves distinct recognition for making such a difference in the outcome of our stay. Thank you Ali!!

We were very excited about the trip and appreciated the nice pool and proximity to the small beach is convenient. The room was partially updated and the hotel itself shows its age but is fine. As some other reviews stated the Ritz really wants to squeeze as much money out of you as possible and for the high price or rooms you really do not get anything. For example the resort fee is $50 which includes coffee but its only behind the bar and you have to wait in line, then if you want it after 8am it is immediately turns to $7 a cup. The kids meals are terribly priced -- $24 for buttered noodles, $24 for a 4oz cheeseburger (which the regular cheese burger is $26 so why would the kids be $24?) $22 for cereal and milk -plus service charge and taxes. The resort fee covers non motorized water sports but not all, so your kids watch a paddle boat go around but they want you to pay extra for that. None of the food at the pool was anything beyond a normal Marriott or Hilton property - frozen chicken fingers, bagged salad etc. Yes I know the glass of red wine is going to be expensive but it could be chilled not sitting out on a 92 degree day. NO self parking allowed so another $50 there a night. Lastly the hallway was dirty when we checked in and never vacuumed all 5 days we were there. A sweet and low wrapper outside our room was the evidence to prove this ! We were offered turn down service 1 of 5 nights so I don't know if that is a staffing issue or what. Staff were all pleasant attentive and friendly. This was a Marriott redemption trip as I am a big Marriott guy but I don't think I would return as it all felt more like a financial punishment than a reward.

We really loved this property and found it to be super kid friendly. Our trip was to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the staff was very friendly--we were upgraded to a stunning ocean view suite before arrival. I thought our room was much better than some of the reviews here describe, it was spacious and clean. The property was perfect for kids. They loved running around from the green space to the pool and then out to the beach. Most importantly for my skinny little kids, the pools were bath water warm. It was incredible and my kids didn't want to leave!

Our first trip to RC Key Biscayne and a most memorable one!! We were in the oceanfront club suite, overlooking the resort and ocean and it was lovely. The property is aesthetically beautiful but it is the people that make the hotel. We had a lot of interaction with Kayla, the Club Level Manager and, as I told her - she was made for that position! She does her job (and more) with such joy it is affective!! She is truly amazing! Also, Cameron & Isabella in the Cub Lounge were extremely attentive and pleasant. We also had a lot of interaction with the Concierge staff and bellman (Mark, Robert, Miguel in particular) and they all lived up to the Ritz Carlton standard - and more! Last, but not least, I cannot forget to mention meeting the best bartender - ever - Reinier!! We had dinner the first evening at the bar next to Light keeper’s restaurant and because of him, had dinner there again the second night. Had he not been off our third & fourth nights, we probably would have had dinner there again. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and fun and rounded off our incredible(and memorable) experience at the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. We can’t wait to return!!
