I have been staying at this property since 2017. I’m a Titanium Elite Bonvoy Member with 120 nights in the Marriott hotels around the world this year. The staff is amazing. They treat me as part of their family. BETTY, ROCIO, CHRIS, MICHELLE, CARLOS provide an outstanding customer service. The rooms are big, clean, very comfortable and cozy. Aloft-Dadeland is definitely my first choice in the Miami Area. They always go above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Miami area. Take advantage of the location to walk to dinner, check out a couple restaurants, cafes, downtown dadeland, dadeland mall and Publix. The hotel has also a bar with great drinks and tasty food. The staff is very helpful.
Flawless check in , CArlos is an excellent host, we wanted to change our rooms as we can be next to our sons and he personally show us the available rooms , Rooms are very clean , Is an excellent choice for the price. very well located next to Dadeland Mall and 15 minutes away fron the airport . A/C was ok.
Location is a bit rough, room was acceptable, not great. Bathroom could have been cleaner… a bit uncomfortable to endure. Checked out early, didn’t want to stay for full visit in location/hotel. Beautiful lobby, exterior pool, gym access, wouldn’t return to this location.
The hotel is generally tired looking and needs a revamp. The worst thing is they charge you extra when checking out with phantom charges saying you’ve taken water from the reception area. When I asked to see the bill in more details as to when I had allegedly taken the bottles the older Cuban receptionist was dismissive and told me she can’t help me and that she would email me - 3 weeks later still nothing.
So this is the 3rd Marriott property I’ve stayed in the last 4 weeks. There were cons with very little pros. First the good: - The bartender was very nice. Made me a few drinks. Was very attentive at anyone walking up to the bar. Came by and picked up empty glasses. 5 stars for him - The maintenance guy who helped me the night I arrived was very friendly. The room key was not activated correctly and he helped me into my room (after a long day of traveling this was greatly appreciated) and went back down and got me a new room key Now the not so good: I’m not going to nitpick every little thing. There were 2 areas that I feel can be addressed and hopefully make this experience better for future guests: - I stayed for 3 nights, leaving in and out at various times of the day. The front desk is right in front of the hotel entrance. Impossible to miss as you walk in and out. In all my time there, not a single person at the front desk acknowledged my existence. Not a hello or goodbye, not a smile, nothing. I know managing a hotel with hundreds of guests can be overwhelming, but, in my opinion, anyone staffed at a hotels front desk should be making an effort to be friendly to guests as they come in and out. A simple smile can go a long way here. - I used the bathroom the moment I got to my room, as most people do from a long day of travel. I found what I hoped was dried brown “makeup” on the toilet handle where you flush. I’m hoping it wasn’t dried blood. I took a wet hand towel and it came off with some very light rubbing. But it made me realize that the toilet wasn’t disinfected fully from the last guest. So now I just had my doubts about the cleanliness. I also tried to make coffee but found a coffee tray with open, empty sugar packets and no stirring stick or spoon. The plastic bag it came in was empty. In other words, no one checked to replenish it. Again, this just made me doubt how clean the room was. I slept in the bed but couldn’t help but check for anything “dirty”. I also only used with remote control with napkins. Not a feeling anyone wants to have. I love Marriott hotels but this was my first time at an Aloft and probably my last. I’ll stick with Residence Inn or Courtyards where I’ve just had a more consistent excellent experience…
Front desk staff was very professional and helpful. Bernie assisted me and helped answer all of my questions. Quick and fast process staff made me feel welcomed. Definitely will be coming back in the near future.

I planned a trip my son and nephew for their birthdays but to booked the room under my bank card. Bernie was beyond helpful with getting me the forms that I need to fill out so that the payments could be charged to my card so the boys wouldn't have any issues upon arrival. He was very knowledgeable and patient during this time and I'm beyond grateful I was able to speak with him with this issue. Thanks Bernie!
We checked in late last night and were immediately helped by Bernie at the front desk. Despite the hour, he was graciously accommodating in setting us up with a room for the night. Great experience! The room itself is quite decent, and the shopping strip across the street is convenient with a Starbucks, sushi, TJ Max, and the like. Overall a pleasant stay.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. Everything from staff, to comfortability and cleanliness is amazing. Arriving to the hotel, Bernie made us feel truly welcomed. He was patient, kind and really set this great experience for us. Our initial room seemed like it was having some engineering work done, so he quickly gave us an upgrade to the most beautiful room we could’ve asked for. We are extremely grateful, and after going through some unpleasant hotel experiences in downtown, he was a breath of fresh air. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10, would highly recommend staying. Thank you Bernie, and Aloft!
