My husband and I stayed at Vistana Beach Club for an anniversary celebration. We exchanged through Interval International. The Beach Club was on the beach on Hutchinson Island which is in the Stuart, Florida area. Our two bedroom, two bath unit was very well equipped with linens, kitchen utensils, three televisions and kitchen appliances. We were able to fix meals at the timeshare as well as try some of the nearby restaurants. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was kept clean and there were sufficient poolside chairs for the guests. There was a rental stand on the beach for beach chairs and umbrellas. We had a pleasant, relaxing week.

Just arrived yesterday. So far not impressed with this gold crown resort especially being a Vistana owner. When we arrived we were supposed to be in the main building ocean view which wasn’t ready. Which is fine we would have waited without issue but we were told I have something else for you a better room. Well it’s in the other building and the view is horrible. All I was looking for this vacation to sit on a balcony and watch the ocean. Can’t do that. The room is in desperate need of upgrades/painting. Mold dust in air vents, the bathroom door gets stuck had to rescue 2 people already, grout in bathroom had to be redone badly. Very aged looking. No information anywhere about the hotel and surrounding area. Best of all how can a gold crown not offer owners beach chairs or charge a reasonable fee. $40 a day from 8-5 to TOTALLY UNREASONABLE. Pro- the air conditioning works great very very disappointing start will update review if necessary

Hi Dianne, thank you for your review of your recent stay at Vistana Beach Club. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment with the villa you received during your time with us. As a vacation ownership property, Owners do receive priority on villa location requests. While we would love to meet everyone’s requests, it sometimes is just not possible when occupancy is high. However, the resort team will make every effort to accommodate. While the villa is not currently scheduled for refurbishment, our housekeeping and engineering team would be happy rectify the opportunities in the room if they were reported to the front desk. We do thank you for staying with us and hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.

So we are Bonvoy Members and I had been wanting to stay here but its always full so we did a trade. What a mistake. Pictures of the pool are deceiving way too small not what I was expecting. Always full kids. Beach was beautiful, but full of turtle nests. If you did not get out there early you would have to rent chairs and umbrella.

Hi, thank you for your review of your recent stay at Vistana Beach Club. We are saddened to learn that you are disappointed in your stay. We are a family friendly resort, but there are time when less kids are visiting due to their school schedules. Our beaches do see many turtle nests, this is common from May to October. It is fun when they hatch and make their way to the water. We would love to host you again and hope that we can provide a better experience.

I have been coming to this exact resort for over 25 years and everyone has been more than friends, I consider them family. The rooms are gray and spacious and clean. The pool and jacuzzi is fantastic. And of course the beach!! We can’t get enough of it. Barry, the Activities Director, is the best. He goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is taken care of. My son loves him and looks forward to coming because he knows Barry will make it fun for him. I’ve known him for over a decade and I love to see the consistency in the staff here. The week stay won’t be the same without him. My family travels across the US ( New York) just to see him. We love him! PS he makes the best Pina Colada’s. Tara, Elaina, Danny and all are amazing. I met them all when I was 5 and now I am 32 years old and let me tell you they make our trip so seamless! We know when we book our family vacation that they have everything set and there’s never a problem with checking in. I am happy to say that we are 3 generations in with coming here and the majority reason is because of the staff. I love you TARA, BARRY, ELAINA AND DANNY.

We stayed three nights as a couple and had a very quiet and enjoyable stay. Even though it was just the two of us, we had a two bedroom/2 bath suite, I guess which is the standard here as it is part of Marriott Vacation Club.. We also were meeting up with another couple already there who also had a 2 bedroom suite. We were in the front building directly facing the ocean, while the other couple had the 2nd building behind ours, but still facing the ocean, just a bit further away. As this is really a vacation club type property that I'm guessing rents unused units as hotel rooms, there are some pluses and minuses of this vs a full service hotel. Pluses: Biggest Plus is it's located along a beautiful and quiet beach. The room is large and has a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath configuration with sofa bed in the living and with full kitchen facilities for cooking meals, snacks etc. All rooms have a balcony facing beach (although higher rooms offer better view). Good for a family with the second bedroom and bath. Cons: This is not a typical resort hotel; it's is more like a condo or apartment with minimal staff and typical resort facilities (i.e. restaurant, pool bar, etc). There is only one small pool which for a property this size (2 buildings) seemed inadequate, as it was crowded as well. There is No snack bar or beverage bar on property, and no restaurants or complimentary breakfast offered. Staff is very minimal. Only contact we had was at the front desk at checkin and out and this is a small and enclosed desk area. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful though with restaurant recommendations. While the front building would be more desirable, we had a ground floor room (actually on the second floor but it's the bottom floor for guest rooms due to the slope of the property), and while facing the ocean, we didn't have a good view of the water due to the low height of the room and the layers of bushes directly in front of our room. We did have a large balcony (balconies in the front building are larger than the 2nd back building) but as or room was directly next to the ground floor bushes it wasn't practical to sit out there during morning, evening hours due to the Florida mosquitos that lurk in the thick bushes, and at night you couldn't see the water anyway. There were also a trio of beer cans that were on the ground right in front of our ground floor balcony that remained there the whole stay, which should have been picked up by the ground staff that walked thru the area a couple times during our stay. I point the balcony and view out mainly as as regular hotel guests such as us (vs Marriott Vacation Club owners), we couldn't elect a specific room type; they appeared to be all the same price and you couldn't select a higher floor for a better room which we would have gladly paid and reserved extra money for. I'm guessing the best rooms go to the members (and rightly so), but in any event we were on the ground floor while our friends in the other building (non members as well) had a sixth floor room from which you could actually see the beach, although their balconies were not as large as the front building balconies, and it was further back from the beach. We enjoy sitting on our balconies at the beach with a nice view of the water, so for us, this was a bit disappointing not being able to see the beach, and having so many bushes in front of our room. I did have problems a couple times with the room keys (no we didn't un-magnetize them, sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't), but in any event the door lock area needed to be replaced anyway as seen in the photo; it was in very bad shape. The room (and our friend's room) were both decorated and laid out very similar with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen and living room area, and balcony. Our room also had a large dining table and chairs, while the other room did not, but it did have a jacuzzi in the master bath which we did not have. The beach is beautiful and very quiet which we enjoyed; definitely not a Daytona Beach type beach with cars driving along the beach. We did not lay on the beach or use the beach vendor setups, but we did enjoy nice walks along the quiet beach. It was nice simply listening to the sounds of the beach roaring without the crowd noises! We were there in May, and the hotel's second building was undergoing renovations in their ground floor open air activities area as well as the lobby, making for a bit of a mess, but we were in the first building so it didn't bother us as much as the other couple. I'm sure it will be nice when finished with some games and activities available for guests. The resort had one pool only, which was a bit surprising for a two building resort; it seemed rather small, and we did not use it as it was a bit crowded. There was not a lazy river or other water area (other than the beach); just the small pool The resort had several outdoor grills for guest use, but didn't see anyone using them during our stay. There was also a boardwalk from the hotel with a lookout seating area to see the beach. Overall, the property was a very good value for the proximity to the beach, plus the size of the room and location, however it didn't seem up to Marriott's standards in some ways; i.e. a bit weathered in areas. There are no eating facilities on site (no breakfast even) and no pool bar or other snack/drinking places on site. While you have your own appliances in your room for meals, fridge, microwave etc, it would be nice to at least have a pool or beach snack bar/beverage bar at the resort. I'm writing this as a hotel guest; perhaps it's a different perspective for vacation club owners (i.e. better view, and used to lack of dining/bar facilities etc) but the size of the pool, lack of snack or drink facilities was something we would normally have expect at a Marriott property. Overall though, the beach is wonderful and there are some nice restaurants nearby, although you would need to drive to those. If you don't need the full service hotel facilities and aren't picky about your view this property offers good value with it's large rooms and easy walk to the beach.
