This is an older property, but it is very well-maintained, very clean, and comfortable. They offer discounts for several nearby restaurants, including the excellent Cinnamon Sticks in the same parking lot. The Withlacoochee Trail passes right behind to hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here on May 7th. in room 3. It is very clean and well kept. The bed was very comfy. Check in was quick and Mike at the desk was very personable and friendly. If I am ever in this area again I would definitely stay here again.
We spent two nights at the Central Motel to cycle the Withlacoochee State Trail. Our room was perfect: clean, quiet, lots of sports channels, super cold refrigerator and big enough to store our bicycles comfortably. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Across the parking lot is the Cinnamon Stick restaurant great for breakfast and across the road is Cedar River Seafood excellent place for dinner after a long ride. We will be back at the Central Motel for more cycling hopefully soon.
The Central Motel is clean, affordable, quiet, safe, comfortable, and in my opinion, is equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. I stayed at the Central Motel to attend a Dragon Boat race. I will definitely stay at the Central Motel next year when I attend the next Dragon Boat festival. The Central Motel is a gem and an excellent find.
We had a lovely time - newly renovated room and fantastic service. Michael was very helpful checking in and provided example service. The room was immaculate and relaxing. The breakfast place next door, Cinnamon Sticks, was also wonderful - 10% off with proof of stay.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this “motel” but since we needed to stay close by we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival we were happily greeted and the gentleman at the front was very kind. He asked if we would like to switch rooms from the double beds to a king so we did. We stayed in the building towards the back, right on the first floor. When we opened the room it was clean and a good size. It came with all the amenities I’ve seen at 3&4 star resorts. The bed was comfortable and I never heard any noise from anyone else that was staying there; their were several cars in the parking lot. The only suggestion I do have for this place is to consider changing the name or at least drop the motel part. Maybe Central Inn or Central Stays would sound a little nicer and reflect the quality of the place. Also thank you to the staff for making sure we were able to enjoy our stay.…
My wife and I stayed here for three consecutive nights. The staff is both pleasant and helpful. There is no breakfast supplied at this facility. Our room had 2 beds and was both small & cramped. The HVAC wall unit was less that one foot away from one of the beds. The two chairs did not fit the table, such that you could not sit and use the table comfortably. This was not a comfortable room for anything more than an overnight stay. The shower had very little water pressure. The showers caulk was both dirty and moldy. I always put on a pair of white socks after showering. I remove my socks as I get into bed. The bottom of my socks were black when I removed them. The rug was filthy. However, we had perfect access to bike the Withlacoochee State Hiking and Biking Trail. The trail is adjacent to this hotel. Our room was on the first floor and had an exterior door. We backed our SUV up to our room’s door and prepped the bikes. We did not have to search for a both a trailhead and a safe parking area that had restroom facilities. Ideal….…
Great place to stay just off the bike trail. Staff were very friendly. On-site restaurant served a delicious breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, however almost all of the electrical outlets were loose. That was our only negative issue.
carpet was wore out and dirty. rooms next door loud at night. was suppose to get two beds got one, rooms need updated, A/C loud. dirty showers, mold in them. this place is expensive for these type of rooms. chairs in room were uncomfortable.
We were going to be in the area for about 10 days, but only booked the first night, because, well, you never now how bad a place is going to be. The next morning I went to the office and booked the rest of our stay. We got a first floor room in the building in the back. This is the best layout we’ve ever had. The bathroom is near the front of the room and the door is not facing the bed which is nice if one needs to get up in the middle of the night and turns a light on. The fridge, microwave and coffee pot are with the vanity. Toilet and walk-in tiled shower are in a separate part. The room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. Everyone we dealt with from the office to housekeeping staff made us feel welcome, There is a great little restaurant in front and you get a discount there, and a few other local places, if you mention your staying at the motel. We would definitely stay here again.…
