We have recently stayed here and absolutely love it. I love the rustic charm of the cabins, although we stayed in our RV, and all of the nature. There’s lots of tree coverage and you are right on the water. There’s a fire pit, lots of walking space, boats to take out on the water and a discovery island to explore. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and so accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay. This is what I call camping, well glamping !

We had a great time! The office manager, Angel, was so sweet, attentive and a real people person. Very genuine. We rented an RV spot while 2 other friends rented a cabin. The cabin was super clean and had everything you need for your stay. The RV spot was perfect. The shower were very clean with hot water, soap and toilet paper. It wasn’t super expensive and well worth it. We rented the canoes. The river is right there so you launch the canoe and find yourself on a 2 mile trip which was beautiful and peaceful. There are air boat rentals and a lot of things to do near by. Come visit this spot. It’s great!

When you stay somewhere, it’s all about your expectations. We stayed in cabin #15, which backs onto a creek (with or without water, depending on the season). We were very pleased with the cabin itself. It met all of our needs. We loved using the canoes and appreciated the bountiful wildlife. We played ping-pong in the rec hall and my mother-in-law used the treadmill. There is no pool. Just up the highway, we turned onto Boy Scout Road and biked the trails found there. That was excellent! This lodge is not fancy but neither is it expensive. If you like a more rustic theme, this is the place for you. The people who run the lodge are incredibly nice and we really liked them.

Sept-2021 My wife and I booked a weeks stay at this campground a couple of weeks ago. The place is extremely run down. We were facing the river which is heavily overgrown and full of weeds and hyacinths. The camping area is the nightly hangout for all who lives in the park which is 75% of the park. All the locals that road by or hung out seem to be friendly. The campground grass was extremely high. Snaky at best. The west side of the campground is wet swampy area which invites tons of mosquitos. With all that being said, we were there and decided to do our best to make the best of it. DAY -4 We left to go to town. We could not get out of the park as it is one way in and one way out. A fellow camper trying to exit the part got hung up as it is very tight of an area to maneuver through. I got out to help the gentleman and helped him back up in which even though I kept yelling stop, he kept coming. His camper pushed some grass mostly tall weeds up. A man came over identifying himself as the manager and owner of the park. He immediately started yelling at me and blaming me for the damage to the grass. I explained that it was not my fault, I was just trying to help the man. The manager was out of his mind yelling cussing like a fool. I told him he was not going to get a good review from me acting like that and I returned to my vehicle. A few minutes later he approached my vehicle like a wild man screaming if your going to give me a bad review then you can get the FU.. out of here. At that point it almost got physical between us. Next thing I know here comes the police to my campsite. I explained everything and he said this is a normal experience at this park that they are called out to kick people out often. He was very nice and we left. The park kept the majority of the funds I paid. They did give a small check because I was not leaving empty handed. If you read other reviews you will see where he's kicked whole families out in the middle of the night because he does not like children playing in the park and so on. IN MY OPINION THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO CAMP!!! He could blow up at anytime. PS He's real good at answering reviews with lies and always making the client the bad guy.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin and it was very nice. The girl at the office at check in saw very nice (the owner not so much) The grounds were not very well maintained. The main road was full of pot holes and needed repaved. the walk path needs more stone it was all mud. The fire pit area looked like a dump for old construction junk. Our first night there the septic system backed up. The note we got on our door to use very little water and NOT flush the toilet unless needed., use paper plates and plastic ware was not what I paid $130.00 per night for. WE LILL NOT RETURN!!!

This was our very first trip with our Class C RV. I think that most new folks are nervous and thinking of a million different things that they should be doing. That said, when we called Riverside, one of the owners helped us pick the best spot for our RV. He made sure that we had the most beautiful spot facing the river. As we checked in, the other owner and their son met us at the check in desk. They were super friendly and helpful. The son pointed out some areas to look out for as we pulled our rig in which we appreciated. We backed in and hooked up with no problems. Our view was beautiful. Overall, the campsite was quiet. Our neighbors were nice and the owner came by with her golf cart on Day 2 and sat and talked with us. We were in a spot that was the furthest from the office; yet we had good Wi-Fi...mainly we use it for streaming music. The only heads up I would give and it is not anything that the owners can really mitigate is the airboats on the river. They were few and far between, but they were loud when they did come through. Only a few came by at night, and honestly we run a white noise machine when we sleep at night and could barely hear them and they were right outside the door. Overall, it was a wonderful first trip, the owners were super friendly, and we will definitely be going back for a longer period. They have cabins and primitive camping as well and their grounds and cabins were well maintained. For us, we are not looking for huge resorts, but for beautiful nature, peace, and for friendly experiences, and they hit all of these. I would highly recommend them. Cheers!

We rented one of the luxury cabins for our daughters 11th birthday. The cabin was cozy, clean, and well maintained. The girls loved sleeping in the loft! It was especially nice that our dog was able to accompany us on this trip. The staff are courteous and friendly. We give them high scores for customer service. When we needed directions or assistance, we didn’t even have to seek them out. They were present and proactive to address our needs in advance. We plan to camp with them again this summer!

We did not stay in a cabin, but we still agree with the other one star part of the reviews. Nickle and dimed to death, we surely agree with that review. What appeared at first to be a competitive price turned pricey. I repeat competitive not a bargain. The key to the restroom/showers was an extra $100.00. We were told that it costs $100.00 'PER MONTH' to have the restroom/showers cleaned. Wait, what? Ok, so every camper pays $100.00 when it only costs $100.00 PER MONTH to have it cleaned? Cable hookup wasn’t working; found out it costs $50.00 to turn it on at our RV site. As an electrical concern we told them the light fixture on top of the marker post was lying on the ground, they put it back on top but didn't reattach it to any wiring, later it fell off. We were charged $60.00 for four hours to rent a boat & trolling motor; ok that seemed competitive. Then the motor broke a few hours into our trip; the owner had to come and tow us home. We were told the motors were old and where shown the new ones that just arrived, We had to fight to get a refund for not being able to use the boat & motor. While cutting the grass they ran over, cut and broke our black water drainpipe. They DENIED doing it but HELLO I showed them the grass cutter tire mark and cut across the pipe. Another fight, then they offered a dollar store replacement hose they use when they do damaged a pipe. Wait, what? You deny damaging pipes but have replacement pipes for when you do. I said I was going to a RV store and buy the proper one. They would not pay for it. Ok we did have heavy rains, still the water from the catch basin behind out RV should not be over flowing and coming out of the lid. We didn't say anything for fear of being charged to have the basin cleaned. No fire ring at the site, there is only a community fire pit. Roads are full of pot holes, some are fairly deep. Turning and backing in is super tight, sites are on top of and right behind each other. This is our honest review of what we experienced; we would not waste our time if it were not so. The review is for informational purposes only and not to try to ruin anything, purely your decision. Any attempt to submit a candy coated reply should and will just be ignored; it would be in vain, pure gibberish to reply. God bless everyone and please be safe.

My husband and I and our 2 dogs stayed in a cabin for 2 nights. The cabins are very clean and cozy and have everything you need for vacation pots, pans, dishes, silverware,ect... We have stayed in many cabins in campgrounds and this is definitely one of the cleanest. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. They told us we could take out a kayak or canoe if we wanted to .This place is also 15 -20 minutes away from stores and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place.

we are sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your last stay as much as the first 3 times because we put a hold for possible damages on your account. However, there is no way you picked up any bedbugs over here since we regularly deep clean and inspect the bedding in our cabins and no one before or after you ever had any problems.
