Please note these units are privately owned and your mileage may vary LOL! The ugly: Our unit needed a lot of love. It appears they had a catastrophic water issue at some point as there was obvious evidence of damage. It did not, however, impact our stay in any way. Shower stall is very small but there's plenty of hot water and pressure.

The bad: Noise. The refrigerator was very loud as was the a/c fan. We had a family next to us that were loud and obnoxious until 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night. This was solved by leaving the a/c fan on which eventually just became white noise. We had no further issues with the family so we just let it ride. Our condo was a two bedroom and one of the mattresses had the typical sinking middle. It made it impossible for us to sleep in the same room. The mattress in the second bedroom, although hard, was fine. The only issue in that room was the outside lights were very bright and the blinds did not block all the light.

The good: Location, location location! The intercoastal waterway is in the back and the ocean/beach is across the street. Our unit abutted the waterway and it was so relaxing to just watch the boats go by from the patio. We didn't see any dolphins but there were pelicans, ducks and many other birds to watch. Grounds were well kept and the pool area was beautiful. There were tables to sit and relax at as well as chairs around the pool. Water was very clean. Community grills were well maintained and there were picnic tables around them to eat at. Staff is awesome. Unit was well-stocked with essentials plus had beach chairs, beach towels and a beach umbrella.

Despite some of the issues we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for taking time to stay with us. We're glad you enjoyed the location and the access to both the intercoastal and the beach across the street. Also, we appreciate the compliment on our staff. We have a great team and each one really wants every guest to have a lovely experience. As far as the rooms are concerned, we are sorry they did not meet all your expectations. As you mentioned, they are all individually owned and we do regularly voice the need for upgrades and maintenance on the furnishings. We will be addressing this. Ultimately, we are pleased to hear you hope to return. Please keep my contact info and if I can help in any way during your stay, I'm happy to do so. Sincerely, Barry Bartley, General Manager

My son and I booked Barefoot Beach resort last minute due to family emergency with elderly relative. Room was SPOTLESS, quiet, bed and sofa bed comfortable and the 1 minute walk to the beach saved my sanity. Loved the coffee shop down the street. No crowds due to Covid and I felt very safe in the area. I didn't feel ripped off with an excessive cleaning fee as I booked/paid the mgmt co, not a private owner so I paid the equivalent of a hotel stay. I will watch for $$$ deals and stay here in the future as I expect more frequent travel to FL due to mom's health. Highly recommend.

This was our first time staying at this resort. We stayed in a one bedroom condo that was beautifully decorated. Full kitchen, dining area, had a nice little sitting room off the bedroom that had French doors and then also a patio area behind. We had a little walk out to the intercoastal water and across the street was the Gulf of Mexico. They have their own private walk way to the beach. Each room came with beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. There was a nice restaurant next door (Salt Rock City), which we did not go to. But other than that, there wasn't any other bars within walking distance really, but you can Uber/Lyft anywhere down there. We did miniature golf at Smugglers Cove which was pretty fun and got to feed baby alligators. Well worth and pretty reasonably priced for beginning of February.

They are cheap ... They give ya 1 roll toilet paper, 1 roll paper towel. 2 dishwasher soap , no hand or body soap. 1 bar soap ,that’s for a 9 night stay. They tell you to go and buy your own and give direction to the nearest store. They also tell you to clean your own towels at their own laundry room for 1.75 a load but they only can give you 5 dollars in change. their beach chairs were about 10 years old . Pool is crowded, beach is good. The floors look clean but if you’re barefoot they will get dirty quick in the condo. Staff is very fake . They try real hard to hide it . They really don’t care . It was a fun trip but our stay wasn’t.

Hello and thank you for taking time to write. Please know we value guest feedback since our ultimate goal is for each guest to have a pleasant stay. If I may address some of your issues - - we're not certain if you booked your stay through us or through a private party - that would make a difference as to what amenities you receive. It is not our policy to ask our guests to wash their own towels. We place two rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels and two dishwasher tabs in each condo for starters. For guests who are not staying in one of our units, we direct them to contact who they booked their reservation with. As for the quarters, we just don't have an unlimited amount so we feel comfortable in limiting to $5 worth. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to me at the resort. Thank you. Room was selected, as it was confirmed as a pool view, or Bay View room, with Patio or Balcony. The room had no Balcony/Patio and No view, rear view was Dumpsters, front view was parking lot, Laundry and dumpster. Was charged additional money on check in, when Agoda advised paid in full. 34 dollars for a pool, beach access, and bicycles. room was not sanitized, as promised, literature advised did not meet Federal sanitation standards. I emailed Hotel directly prior to visit to confirm room, etc. , no response. after visit, the Resort pointed blame at Agoda, for the misrepresentation. this was a NO refunds hotel, that I could not just ask for a refund and leave upon check in. which also was not clearly stated, before purchasing. Also there was loud screaming partying after 11 pm, I was waiting for a fight to break out or worse, and please do not lose parking pass 25.00, and if you lock yourself out, you are charged 75.00 and money charged if keys lost. Office closed at 5pm, Toilet backed up, and as a guest no literature assisted on whom we could contact to help, re: maintenance phone number, etc. front desk were uncaring, and unapproachable, with any pf my concerns. Tip: stay somewhere, any place else.

Hello. We would like to address some of the issues you brought up. #1. Room selection. You booked through a company called Agoda, one which we do not work with. They in turn book through HotelBeds, who we do contract with. We cannot find anything on Agoda's website that shows a pool view or bay view room as you mentioned. #2. "The room had no balcony/patio and no view...rear view was dumpsters, front view was parking lot, laundry and dumpster." We're not sure where the photographer stood to take those photos but they had to be way at the back window looking straight down to see the dumpsters. In the front of the condo, the photographer would have had to actually kneel down below the railing to get the effect of being behind bars. And the third picture was taken of a vanity cabinet guests typically used for owners storage. Note that we did find a box checked on the Hotelbeds information that indicates there are balconies, which is incorrect. That has been corrected and we do regret that error. #3. The additional fees you mentioned such as $34 dollars for a pool, beach access and bicycles. All guests pay a $11.30 night amenity fee that includes beach towels, bottled water with koozies, beach chairs and umbrella, use of bikes, fishing poles, tennis rackets and more. It is the responsibility of the booking agent (Agoda) to notify the guest during the booking process. #4. Room was not sanitized. Our condos are sanitized as per guidelines. We provide literature to guests at check-in that is required to notify guests about dishware, glassware, kitchenware and kitchen utensils have been cleaned with household dishwashing agents, not to the State standards of public food service establishments. #5. You contacted us directly to confirm and had no response. We have not been able to find any email from you, with the execution(exception) of the emails that you sent us after you checked in. We did respond at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday after your Friday emails, stating; “We are truly sorry that you are disappointed with your view from your condo during your special weekend. We received your reservation from a third party and unfortunately there were no notes requesting a specific view. We always try to honor any requests made by our guests if we have the availability to do so. Your emails ended up in our junk folder, so we did not seem them last evening before leaving the office. Unfortunately, we do not have another unit for your to move to, as we do not manage all of the condos on property. Again, I apologize for the delay in reaching out to you and hopefully you will be able to enjoy the pool and the beautiful beach!” #6. Your issue on refunds. Looking at the Agoda website, it does mention that you have the option of purchasing not-refundable stays, however, we would not know what you booked through Agoda. Correspondence from HotelBeds indicates this was a non-refundable booking for which you received an additional discount for booking this way. #7. Your other issues. We manage approximately half of the condos in this complex and our office is not open 24 hours a day, as is the case with most condo rental management companies. We provide every guest that checks in with a map and list of instructions and where to find the emergency numbers (which do vary because of the person on call.) #8. Honestly, we truly do not understand how you can say that the front desk was uncaring and unapproachable when your only interaction was at check-in and then through email. Sincerely, Barry Bartley, General Manager

The location of this resort is excellent, right next door to a fabulous restaurant (Salt Rock Grill) and directly onto the Inter Coastal waterway, the beach also being literally across the road. Unfortunately the accommodation it's self was a little disappointing. The con do was just as the photo's showed, a neutral nautical feel with plenty of areas to relax and a large shower room, small but functional kitchen and an airy bedroom. What the pictures couldn't show was that some of the fixtures, such as both wardrobes were in need of tlc, the fitted door on both were coming off the rails and it was difficult to open and close them. The aircon unit worked fine but was very noisy, as was the fridge in the kitchen. The bedroom floor seemed a bit dirty and I felt the need to brush off me feet before getting into bed.

The pool area which had looked fairly small on the photos was actually a good size with plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs to enjoy the amazing Florida weather and the lovely view. The pool rest rooms could do with as more frequent clean as the floor was often dirty. The grounds were clean and there was a number of BBQs available to use with seating areas adjacent to them.

The most disappointing thing for us was that on our last day, having a late flight home we decided to have one more morning around the pool. We checked out, letting the agent know this was our plan, only to be told we would have to move our car out of the parking lot in to a public car park a few blocks down with an hourly fee. As we were travelling at a quiet time of year (the car park at the resort wasn't even a third full) we felt this was poor customer service. The agent gave us the reason that the parking pass needed to be back with them (at 10am) so she could get the new welcome pack ready for the next guest (who couldn't check in until 4pm). She advised there was a chance the car would be towed if we left it on site. Surely she could have provided a visitor pass or had a spare pass we could have used for the 3 hours we staid over? Having travelled extensively around Florida, this was the 1st time we had come across this situation.
Indian Shores is a lovely place to stay, very convenient for both Clearwater and St Petes and with plenty of places to eat, but if we return it will be to a different accommodation. If the place had little tlc and better customer service I would have considered a return visit.

Hello and thank you for sending feedback on your experience with us. We're glad you ultimately enjoyed the beauty of the Indian Shores beach area. Regarding your issue on the last day, we regret you left with disappointment. Perhaps it wasn't explained in the manner that would have made sense to you. Our parking lot is managed by the Homeowner's Association - not us . The HOA monitors the site and does not issue temporary or guest passes. Therefore, we must inform our guests that once they turn in their key, they have to relinquish the pass - even though, as you say, the parking lot was not full. Once the condo is cleaned, we are able to check guests in as they arrive so ultimately we need the parking pass. Again, we're sorry if the response was not delivered in a more amenable way. We strive to ensure each of our guests has a pleasant experience from start to finish. If you care to reach out to me, feel free to do so at barry@barefootbeachresort.com. Visited during covid. Very clean. Office staff was extremely courteous and helpful on phone before trip and during stay. Pool was open and not crowded. Easy access to beach directly across the road via crosswalk out front. Beach chairs and umbrella in condo was a great touch that adds ease and value. Will definitely sty again soon.

A friend and I just stayed here for a 3 night trip. I’ve seen the resort listed each time I book trips with Allegiant but always overlooked it. Chose it this time because it was one of the most affordable options. When we checked in we couldn’t believe what we had! Full size appliances, full size one bedroom condo. The pool is very nice. Grilling areas. They provide beach chairs and an umbrella. The beach access is directly across the street and the beach area is very clean and wasn’t crowded. I have paid the same or more for a basic hotel room with nothing but a microwave and mini fridge. Sandy at the front desk helped my friend and I multiple times during our stay and was so sweet and patient with us. I will be booking this resort every time I travel to this area from now on. I don’t think there’s any better value for what you’re getting in the area!

Picked this spot b/c of decent reviews & of course right across from the beach. It is a quieter part of town . . only 2 lane road vs the chaos to the south. The condo had 2 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas! The pool area was very spacious. It was very quiet in the evenings!! There were some issues but management handled them immediately. Excellent customer service! That makes 100% difference and why i gave this place a 'very good'. Note that the 'starter supplies' are very minimal . . but this is typical when renting a condo so no surprise there. If you can stop at a Dollar Tree to stock up on paper products, hand soap, etc. do it . . . Would suggest a deep clean on the floors though. While they looked clean, feet got black walking on them barefoot. More so in kitchen area than anywhere else. I would not hestiate to stay here again. This location is perfect and the beach is the best part in my opinion!! Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for 6 days recently, such a great spot! The beach is beautiful, the walkway on the intercostal was lovely, we didn’t use the pool, but it looked great & I saw someone maintaining it in the mornings.
The condo was great, clean, bright & had all the essentials we needed. Also, had information available about the grocery store or anything else we required for our stay.
It’s equipped with a great kitchen, wet bar, dining area & sitting areas. You could see the ocean (slices of it) from several spots in the condo.
Indian Shores coffee was a delightful find & Crabby Bills was a hit!
I would definitely recommend this space & would surely return!
Thanks for a great vacation 🌴
