The New Hotel Collection Harbourside Resort garners praise for its attentive staff and advantageous location, perfect for day excursions and exploring nearby attractions. While the overall atmosphere is lauded for its cleanliness and comfort, including spotless bathrooms, some guests feel that the value is diminished by additional charges for amenities such as the pool and parking.
The rooms are noted to be clean and spacious, yet suggestions for blackout shades and updated furniture have been made. Despite the range of amenities available, the extra fees, particularly for waterpark access, have been a point of contention among visitors.

Detailed Reviews
My family of 4 adults and 2 children (1&2) stayed in the 2 bdrm. (4 queen beds) 2 bathrooms suite. It was so spacious and clean. Big patio/deck with table and chairs overlooking the waterpark and the tiki with live music at the Holiday Inn directly behind us on the bay. You must request the 4 queens to get this type of room. It is actually another hotel room with a connecting door for the other bedroom and bathroom with a mini fridge and microwave, with its own outside entrance. Short walk to the beach and CVS which has about anything you need. The check in office is off site and across the street. I never sat down for their timeshare speel. I couldn't get the wifi password unless I did and received the "welcome packet". Didn't need it I have on my phone if needed and I wasn't there to sit on my phone or computer I was only in the room as needed I was at the pool and the beach. The pool requires the waterpark wristband from 10 am to 6 pm. After that it is open to the hotel for free and is open til 10 pm. I was at the beach during that time so no biggie. No complaints and will be back for sure.

I stayed there for 7 days and enjoyed the area. However there are some items that need work.
There was no trash can in the kitchen.
The lightbulb was out in the shower
I had several switches that didn’t operate anything.
You need to buy new , comfortable sofas
Security around the pool after hours was nonexistent.
People were using the water park slide without water running after hours .
The rotisserie plate didn’t fit the microwave
Your method of garbage pick up at the elevators has to be more frequent, all those rooms an 2 garbage cans per floor simply isn’t enough.
Most of our time was spent out doing things not in the room. I still believe you should make sure everything is working and in good condition before renting the rooms out.

+1
We stayed here for four nights. We had a two queen bed suite. The room was smaller than I expected but clean. The main issue we had with this hotel was that there was no soundproofing! It sounded like the people in the room next were in our room, we could clearly here everything they said and even when they were loading the dishwasher, its very loud when the hotel door opens.
We got two waterpark passes a day with our reservation but had to pay $14 a piece for the other two passes we needed for our family. You only have access to a free pool from 8-10am and after 6pm when the waterpark is closed. The beach is a short walk and is very nice so we only paid to go to the water park one day and then used the pool in the evenings when it was free.

Wifi never connects, rooms are basic and not all have a kitchen or sitting areas, if you are willing to be upsold then you can get the kitchen but not worth the price compared to other locations in the area.
Your room will not be cleaned as there is another upcharge for this and when you check in dig out your credit card as they will hit you with a fee for staying there. Stayed for over a week and left early, not a relaxing envorioment with slamming doors and bright lights coming through the windows. There is no hot water of the morning and the parking is almost non-existent at this location. Not able to use a parking garage located on the premise and no reason was given as to why.
The office staff was extremely rude when I told them I already had a vacation club I use and did not want to hear their sales pitch even when they offered me $200 to listen to it.
Sorry, I was on vacation did not want to waste 2 hours listening to a high-pressure sales pitch.
There are no amenities with this place it is all neighboring facilities if you want to use the water park, gym, mini-golf at the Holiday Inn next door.
Location was the only thing I have nice to say about this place.

Lots of fine print. The water park is not owned by the hotel. Only 2 passes provided per room per day for the water park, you will have to purchase additional passes for about $14 each. The hotel advertised free wi-fi but there is none and it is included in the $30 per day resort fee. Rooms owned by the hotel are not very clean and have issues with the a/c. My first room had a broken a/c and smelled very moldy. I had to be moved to a different room. The floors were extremely dirty. Bring house shoes/slippers. You will have to take out your own trash or be threatened with a $75 cleaning fee. There is no maid service, due to covid, so new towels or blankets were not offered. You might have a coffee machine, but no cups. There is no ice machine. The parking situation is difficult. You may park in the gravel lot across the street from the hotel or on the street. We arrived during red tide, which is no fault of the hotel. Red tide had us coughing, sneezing, and irritated our eyes anytime we went outside our room. I booked a 4 day stay and ended it on day 3. I could not take the dirty room or the red tide any longer. The pictures are nice, but the real thing failed which is a shame because the location is great relative to the beach and local eateries. The staff was polite, but I'm sure they deal with the complaints daily. Lastly, there is a time share style presentation offered, in the hotel lobby where you check in, and the presenter was so loud I had to cup my hand to my ear just to hear the front desk clerk. That did not make a great first impression. Please beware and don't let an attractive price lure you into this place.

Responded Jul 1, 2021
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. We have since then taken care of the maintenance problems that you had during your stay. A service company was called in to inspect all of our units to ensure things like this do not happen in the future. I truly am sorry that your trip was during the peak of the red tide we had here on the gulf coast. That was a very difficult time for all of us and apologize for the inconvenience. We still hope you were able to have an enjoyable vacation despite some of the problems you, unfortunately, ran into. Customer satisfaction is our main goal. If you could please reach out to me directly at 844-953-8444 and ask for Chantelle so we can further discuss your concerns or any suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us the chance.

To start with room was clean and location and surrounding area was amazing. However if you wish to handle your own room service including washing your own bedding, towels etc.. at your expense then go for it. They also allow you to exchange linen and stuff for new only when they are available. In my case I turned in towels and it took a day and a half and 2 phone calls to finally get towels to shower. They charge you a 30 dollar per night service charge which covers discounted water park tickets, wifi and parking miles away on the street because parking is 1st come 1st serve and is very limited unless you fork out the money for the condos then you get the privilege of parking at the actual parking garage on site. We had a blast for our family trip and all in all the stay wasn't bad but hotels operating standards could most definitely be updated to modern standards, and useless fees for services not rendered. 3 days worth of phone calls and emails to management for discussing a partial refund and no return calls or emails. If your looking for just an ok place stay here. If your looking to save money and enjoy your stay. Go elsewhere.

It’s a hotel room, but they treat it like a condo. We booked this through a website. It sounded like a great last minute deal. I used my phone, so didn’t see a link to click regarding fees. Received a great weekly rate, but upon checkin, they tack on $30/day for “convenience fees.” Absolutely nothing convenient about this place. It’s a hotel size room with NO maid service. (No in room clean bath towels, take out your own trash, no coffee replacement) To use the pool, you have to walk across the street to get a pool pass, then go to another office at the end of the block to get a wrist band. Most hotels have a basic room key card entry to pool access. If you’re paid for the week, shouldn’t you get a pool pass for the week? Very inconvenient. The room is ok, like a low end Holiday Inn, but the mattresses are super soft and seem very cheap when you sit down. The walls are very thin. You can hear people moving about and talking in a normal voice in the room next room.

Do not stay here. We stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday and I understand that things are hectic. Check-in is at 4pm and we were not given a room until 5pm due to it being a “full house”. Front desk manager who never even looked at me refunded us one night resort fee, which totaled $30 (wow…). Finally got to our room and aside from the clean linens it was absolutely garbage. There are no curtains on the windows, so you get all the street lights and lights from the hotel pouring into your room. Thank god we didn’t stay during the summer because our thermostat was broken. There was no hot water when I went to give my one year old a bath, and again later when my husband went to take a shower. There looks to be mold in the bathroom that they seem to have just painted over, and mold on the ceiling. The tub was not cleaned and had someone else’s hair in it. The carpet is all torn up and frayed in front of the bathroom. The toilet paper provided is thinner than the stuff I had in the military. Also, make sure you take your trash out because if you don’t they’ll charge you $75. I have never stayed at a “hotel” that I had to take my own trash out. For $183 a night this place was terrible. We went to check out the “sun deck” which looked like a hurricane came through. Half the cushions were off the chairs and most were covered in mold. Absolutely disgusting. I’ll never come back here and I’ll be letting all our family and friends know that this “hotel” is trash. Do not stay here.

What a stay.. After we checked in we were told there was a "small hiccup" that the a/c was out in the room but they put in portable a/c. But it wasn't vented so it was blowing hot air in the room so we went back to the front desk and was told we were being put in their demo room but had to be out by 9am for their open house. Not worry though our next room would be available by 1pm so no room for 4 hours which ended up being until 3pm so no room on the second day for 6 hours. So let's talk about the prized demo room. One of the bedroom's a/c was not working maintenance came in reset it and it worked for about 10 minutes and quite so no a/c in one bedroom. Maintenance also told us this room is often left unlocked so they had to remove "hobos" from the room a day before. Maintenance also removed the a/c filters due to filth but never replaced them. Also we found what appeared to be vomit on a pillow and blood on the comforter. So day two we get out of the demo room by 9am and finally at 3pm we're moved to our final room. By this time we had decided there was no hope in it getting better. We were locked out of the 2nd bedroom for a bit waiting on maintenance to come in and also less than stellar a/c so we purchased box fans to make the room bearable. The front desk did attempt to accommodate by offering some free water park passes and some gift cards to their restaurant. Also on our final day check out is at 11am but as we were packing and getting everything ready housekeeping just walked into the room no knock no announcement just walked it at 9:30 asking us if we were about ready to leave. Now let's talk about the amnesties such as a on site pool. The pool is part of the water park so can only be used from 6pm to 8pm or in the am before the water park opens without purchasing water park passes other than the two or four you are given each night even though the website makes it sound like you have all access to the pool. Also parking is a nightmare only a limited number places to park if you don't get there in time you have to park in public parking and walk to the hotel. Every time we went to the front desk the poor front desk associates were apologizing to a guest for something. Some due to it being hours after check in and no rooms available and some due to no a/c in the room. We were told by maintenance that they have asked management to upgrade the a/c but they decline to do so. All in all if your looking to relax on vacation and have a comfortable room please avoid this location!

No room upkeep whatsoever during our 7 night stay. Charge an extra $30/day for room upkeep but don't do a thing for it. Air conditioner was very weak and kept room warm especially hard to sleep at night . Complaining did no good. Toiletries, towels trash liners coffee maker and even TV remote had to be ordered and they would drop them off at the door within 24 hours. Parking was remote as well as the office check in and services. Some of the towels were stained and bare threads as were the bed sheets. Stay away

The pool is located within the waterpark. Before 10am daily it is free for our guests to access. Between the hours of 10am - 6pm you will need a pass to Splash Harbour to use the pool. After 6pm until dusk you are again allowed to use the pool without a pass
Not onsite. There is IRB CrossFit a block away and an Anytime fitness a short drive
Ideal for boaters, the Harbourside Marina has 50 boat slips on the Intracoastal Waterway at the mile markers 34 and 35. The marina is fully equipped with 50/30 amp power. For any questions, contact the Dock Master at 727-517-3652.
You can see the ocean but it's a 2 block walk to the beach - not bad at all!!
