We stayed at Tuckaway Shores in December 2022 for 3 nights. As 4 adults, we booked the only two bedroom suite at this property and were very happy with our stay. The suite offered a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, one bathroom, a very nice and comfortable sitting room, and two bedrooms. There is also a balcony with 2 nice beach chairs on which looks out sideways to the beach. The suite was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated, with beach chairs provided in the wardrobe. This place is right on the beachfront which is accessible directly from the hotel. The only slight downside was that the 2 bedroom suite was situated side-on to the beach overlooking a very quiet parking area for the beach, whereas if you are booking a 1-bed place you'd have the choice of a room overlooking the beach which would be the icing on the cake. For us this time it wasn't an option as we needed a two bedroom place. We had a leisurely walk along the beach to the Beachside Cafe, which serves awesome breakfasts. On another day we drove to Kennedy Space Centre (just under an hours drive). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - a very enjoyable trip.…
I stayed at this resort with some friends from February 9 to the 19th 2022. It was a perfect getaway. Tuckaway Shores has very modern rooms. We stayed for a few nights in a two bedroom and then move to a one bedroom with a pull out bed. It was super clean. They had service in the rooms every day. The pool was very clean and warm and wonderful. We use the green egg to grill out one day and they provided all the charcoal and tools to get that cookout completed. It’s right on the beach and we used an umbrella in the beach chairs they provided. My third-floor room was a beach view and the weather was fantastic. Lots of places to eat nearby. Thank you Tuckaway Shores for a perfect getaway vacation. We will stay there again!
I discovered Tuckaway Shores in February and have been here 4 times this year. I am not going to lie. It hurts me to have more people know about it. But it is such a fabulous place that they deserve the recognition. I am a Florida native and Tuckaway is everything I loved about the ocean as a child. It is right on the beach, lovely heated pool, small, and with great suite style rooms that I could literally live in all year. Each one is independently owned. I have stayed in 4 different rooms and they were all very comfortable. Small kitchenettes and nicely appointed sitting areas. The second floor is my favorite because of the balconies overlooking the ocean. Honestly it is such a peaceful and fabulous getaway. I feel lucky to have found it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is nothing not to love.…
We feel in love with Tuckaway Shores! We were there to escape hurricane Ian but found some wonderful friends from all over the world and other states. It turned out to be a fun weekend! The site was more like an apt then a room, being well appointed, clean as a whistle and spacious. The bathroom was excellent. The ocean was right outside our door and the environment was peaceful and relaxing despite the hurricane. We will be back.
When the place we normally stay in Longboat Key was unavailable due to renovations, we searched for another beachfront location. A family member mentioned several places in the Melbourne Beach area. When I came across Tuckaway Shores it reminded me of our place in Longboat, (The Diplomat Resort). Nice studios right on the beach. The location is close to many great local restaurants and attractions. We mostly hung out on the beach and at the pool. The only shortcomings were a terribly uncomfortable sofa in the living room. Was not good for TV watching. The other is the beach access. The stairs on the beach side are very steep. They definitely are not up to code. The treads are way too high and stairs steep. Owners should invest in a ramp to reduce liability and make access more guest friendly. Carrying chairs and umbrella was hazardous. Hopefully before our next visit these things can be fixed.…
My husband and I stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The clubhouse next to the pool is a great little touch. The staff is top notch and very accommodating. We will definitely recommend this resort and will be back…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
This is such a charming hotel. All rooms are efficiency studio apartments - full kitchens so you don't have to buy every meal out. They are located right on the beach and most rooms have ocean front views. We stayed on the second floor and had a great view of the water. Our room had an unusual arrangement (to me). It was basically a long rectangle. As you entered the room, you walked into the bedroom. Just past the bed on the right was the bathroom sink; on the left was a small shower and toilet room with a door. Then past that area, was the kitchen and living room area. We had a full balcony and spent hours there enjoying the view with our coffee or later, drinks. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds and furniture. This place may be difficult for people with physical disabilities. There are no elevators so you have to be able to climb stairs if you're on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Also. to get to the beach, one climbs a few stairs to a landing and then a longer flight down to reach the sand. Note that the first floor apartments have chairs on the grass, where you may or may not get a good view of the water because of vegetation. Also the third floor apartments do not have true balconies, just sliding glass doors. Would we stay there again? Absolutely!…
We headed to Melbourne Beach for a little getaway, on a suggestion from a friend, and found that Tuckaway Shores is a great getaway right on the beach. The room was clean , the air conditioner worked and we could have hopped into the pool had we had the time. There was plenty of space to sit and relax, not just on a bed. And we had a fully equipped Kitchenette, with all the things necessary to cook a meal and keep your drinks cold. Can't wait to go again , we had a great time.
We stayed in a oceanfront unit on the second floor and enjoyed it so much. Spent a lot of time on the balcony and loved watching sunrise each morning. This is an older property but it is very clean and well maintained. It has everything you need if you want to cook meals or plenty of restaurants to choose from close by. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and the staff were as friendly and welcoming as could be. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We only stayed 2 nights as we were due to fly back to the UK. I can easily give 5 stars as the whole time we spent was excellent. We stayed in a ocean view room that was well equipped and very clean. Would definitely use Tuckaway Shores again if in the area.
