I have been to this resort over 20 times and I have never seen it in such poor condition. It is a tired, outdated resort that desperately needs to be updated and revamped. The rooms are dated, the bathroom in poor condition and the rooms poorly equipped. The golf course DESPERATELY needs to be completely overhauled. The Campeon course is indeed a classic course but is a maze of divots, bare areas, grass that is in MOST areas barely there. Half or more of the greens are in terrible shape. It was so disappointing. Moreover, on one of the days we played our tee time was at 9:21, we actually teed off at 9:40 and by 10:30 we had played TWO holes it was that slow. I called and asked for a ranger who did come out who said the course was full and there was nothing he could do about the pace of play. If indeed the new ownership is going to invest in upgrading everything I would STRONGLY suggest waiting a few years for that to happen before going to this resort.

I have been to the spa several times when in town to get a massage. I cannot say enough good things. The manager Jessi attends to every single detail without being intrusive. The steam room is extraordinarily clean, with a locker room that is spotless. The massage sessions are relaxing, and you know what to expect before you even arrive. I can't recommend this place more strongly! The highlight of every vacation!

Had played El Campeon before and reserved online to bring a friend and play again last week. Got there 45 minutes early for tee time as usual and found out we had been switched to Las Colinas. Not a problem. Was more than happy to check out the other course. Pro shop very friendly. Told us the course was wide open and since we were a twosome, we could go off early if we wanted. Headed down to the starter, who informed us that he was waiting for two foursomes of elderly ladies to show up. I informed him that the pro shop had said we could get out early and his response was "they don't decide that, I do". Long story short, we waited 15 minutes for them to even show up and ended up playing one of the slowest, most agonizing rounds ever, due to the starter's arrogance. We thought about quitting and demanding our money back. The courses are not bad and prices are within reason, but this experience will make me think twice before going back.

El Champeon Golf course is a challenging course, beautifully designed but unfortunately in dire need of maintenance. The fairways are a maze of divots and the rough is high and brown grass. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Room size is adequate…however bathroom is old and antiquated. Old tile, old sink, old toilet (chair height would be nice!). Towels are okay and hairdryer supplied. Unfortunately no mini-refrigerator or microwave. This resort could be EXCELLENT with much needed up and updating. The grounds are spectacular with a wonderful resort feel…hopefully if we would return - rooms and bathrooms would be remodeled.

Andrea, we have some great news! El Campeón is getting a significant improvement in its irrigation system. Our courses will be better than ever in no time! Along with the change in ownership, we have big plans for upgrades throughout the whole resort. We are excited for all the new changes coming to the resort and hope you will come back and give us another chance.

We were hosting a conference at the Inn. We experienced a very friendly staff, amazing food, an awesome omelet-making chef at breakfast, comfortable beds, spacious rooms with a screened-in patio, and a beautiful conference hall. There are many restaurants to choose from, and bars for evening entertainment. I didn't have a chance to swim, but the pool was clean and inviting. We had free shuttle service to our events. On our down time, we visited the nearby Yalaha Bakery and the Yalaha Bootlegging Company - both a lot of fun. The pontoon boat ride on a typical Florida lake was so relaxing. I live in Florida, but had never been to the Mission Inn. I certainly would like to return someday.

Full disclosure: this is our third trip to Mission Inn. We have played both El Campeon and Las Colinas golf courses. We did a stay and play package. The staff at the pro-shop were wonderful and accommodating allowing us to start early. The staff at the Mission Inn were also a pleasure to interact with and we felt like welcome visitors. Steve at the pool bar was a pleasure to chat with as he mixed our drinks and and offered insights into the best times to visit. We ate dinner at El Conquistador and fully enjoyed the appetizers, main course and desert options. Thanks to Brian for his suggestions and personal care. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and internet is free. TV channels are listed, but finding a specific program to watch was challenging but not a big deal. We love the Spanish-style architecture, the beautiful views both from the hotel and on the courses. We will come back again next fall.

Just visited Mission Inn Resort & Club for a wedding in the "off" season July, 2022. Be advised; that there are NO refrigerators or microwaves in the room; that is an upcharge. Breakfast is NOT included in the price of the room. If you need shampoo, they give you a small bottle for a party of ONE. Warning: there is a Resort Fee of $25 PER DAY per room (plus tax of $27.70) on top of the "other fees" and taxes they bill you for. When I called the Resort to inquire about the outrageous fee, the "front desk" staff was arrogant and rude and stated that is to cover parking and hotel accommodations. Note: it is not a gated hotel, and you self-park. In addition, The skeet shoot was open but again, outrageous fees and minimum rounds are required. They charge "7" times more than what you would normally pay elsewhere. Bar beverages are extremely expensive, too... overall, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere... there are no activities other than golf on site for families to do unless you drive 30 minutes off-site. If you venture out, you will need to drive a good 30+ minutes to find good restaurants . So disappointed.. we definitely will not be returning to this "resort"

We are disappointed to hear about your most recent experience while visiting Mission Inn Resort. Regarding the resort fee of $25, that’s what most properties charge for only self-parking... Ours Includes the following value-added complimentary items: 2 Bottles of water daily in the guest rooms High-speed internet access (Wi-Fi) Parking In-room coffee (Keurig) In-room safe El Corredor Fitness Center (high-end Cybex equipment) On-property shuttle service Outdoor pool and hydra spa Sand and grass volleyball courts Shuffle Board and Children’s play area Billiards and Game Room –two pool tables, televisions, and card tables In-room local & toll-free calls Ice machines Complimentary bicycle rentals Free Fishing Poles and tackle at the front desk (fishing license not included) Free bicycles to enjoy riding around in our 1,100 acre resort. Room types: We have something for everyone. Our deluxe room is a normal room with no refrigerator Club Suites have a sitting area and a refrigerator. 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites also have a separate bedroom and living room with refrigerator Trap and Skeet shooting. This is an on-demand “private” activity that is offered on-site. There is a flat SET-UP fee and a minimum number of rounds to book this activity. If only 2 people want to do it, all of the set-up cost is amortized by only 2 and can indeed be perceived as pricey when compared to a party of 10 that share the set-up. Beverages: We are actually at the lower scale of drink prices when compared to other comparable properties and restaurants in our area. Plenty of other activities that you should be aware of : · World-class golf on two championship golf courses o 18-hole El Campion 103 years old (voted #1 by Golf Channel’s Golf Advisors) o 18 hole Las Colinas with Signature hole, "Alligator Alley" (#12) · New 18-hole Par 3 Executive Course o El Dorado (perfect for a quick round on arrival/departure days) · Lighted Driving Range and Putting Green · 8 tennis courts, pickle balls courts, and volleyball courts · 4 restaurants and 3 bars offering casual to fine dining options. · Luxury full-service Spa · Marina · 5,000 sq ft Full-Service Spa · Pontoon Boat and Bass Boat rentals at our own marina · Best bass fishing in the USA · Trap and Skeet shooting range · Outdoor pool and Hydra Spa · 2 Playgrounds with jungle gyms, shuffle board, chess, and more. · Hiking trails and bicycle paths

My husband and I were there for 4-day wedding weekend and had a wonderful time! The ceremony was held in the lovely and intimate Legends Courtyard under beautiful oak trees amidst well-manicured landscaping. Despite some areas that could use a refresh, what really made an impression was the attentive, hospitable staff--shout outs to EVERYONE, particularly Lawrence in reception, Brittney in La Hacienda restaurant, and Chris at the pool bar. After checking out in the morning and upon arrival back home later that same day, I'd discovered that my Apple Watch may have been left behind (the Find My app indicated the device was still at the resort). I left a voice message and eventually spoke with Priscilla, the Asst Mgr in housekeeping--both she and Elizabeth Torres/Exec Hskpg Mgr were AMAZING. Priscilla was very concerned about finding my watch once they’d received my message, and informed us that hskpg spent well over an hour searching our room searching and immediate environs to no avail, but they would continue their search next in laundry services. Not long after we hung up, as my husband was unpacking and shaking out clothing when lo and behold, my watch comes flying out onto the mattress! Needless to say, I was mortified and immediately called Priscilla to apologize and stop the search. Priscilla was quick to reassure me with utmost patience, kindness and understanding--that kind of professionalism and customer service makes a difference and we would definitely return.
