I was supposed to stay at the hotel, but they had problems with the hotel, so they gave me a single cabin. Plenty of room. Cold A/C, hot water with plenty of pressure. Comfortable bed. TV was just a Roku, so that wasn't helpful. WiFi was good enough for my iPad, but not robust enough for my laptop. I was there to kayak to the Seven Sisters, and they were more than helpful with that. Very friendly and very helpful.

The hotel feels very quiet and has an Old Florida charm. It is set up as a bed and breakfast with common areas that may be shared. We were very presently surprised by the very nice and friendly staff that prepared our breakfast. We had 7 in our group, and stayed in three of the bedrooms that were connected. It was roomy and comfortable.

We live about an hour away and came up for a short getaway and to kayak on the Chaz. The park to launch kayaks is just around the corner and super easy to get to. Our room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

The bedding was fantastic. Sitting on the porch or in the garden was enjoyable taking in all the lush greenery. Kayaks and canoes were just a short walk away and the springs created cool water throughout the river system. This was our second stay there, the first time we barbecued and set a fire for smores.

We've been coming here for years during the scalloping season. We were pleased to see the floors had all been updated to hardwood, and new beds all around. They were quite comfy. It advertises a continental breakfast, but it's a little more than that. We enjoyed: 1. Apple Fritter Friday, 2. We changed Cereal Saturday to Bagel Saturday, and enjoyed waffles on Sunday. Very clean. Very comfy. Will continue to come here every July.

Perfect! I stayed at the Chassahowitzka Hotel during a 3-day golf school and couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations and especially the personalized service. A changing continental breakfast was offered every morning, but I prefer eggs and bacon to start the day. After asking where I could find a good breakfast place, Kim, the Hostess, did one better. She prepared eggs and bacon, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, etc., strictly for me. Talk about personal service! I casually mentioned that the overhead lights cast a glare on the large screen TV, and that evening there was a lamp on the table next to the couches. Instant response! Having grown up in the South, I immediately felt at home when entering the property: Shaded oaks covering a front veranda with rocking chairs, new hardwood floors, a smart TV in my room, and the decor in general made me feel I was at an old-time fish camp: an ELEGANT fish camp!

Great little place! It was clean, neat and quiet. I could only stay one night - I think it’s a two night minimum- but they were able to accommodate me for an extra fee. There were extra comforters for the cool nights. I wasn’t expecting much for breakfast but was pleasantly surprised with different types of fresh bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt and a variety of toppings. Water pressure was amazing! The caretaker as well as the patrons were very pleasant and courteous. Would have liked to have spent some more time there to sit on the porch or grill or just enjoy the area.

My husband and I had to come down from NH to deal with his father’s estate. This hotel was absolutely perfect. It’s quite and calm. We lucked out and were the only guests for most of our stay! The owner Kim is amazing and worked with us when we needed to extend our stay. Becky set up yummy breakfasts each morning and had so much fun stories about this hotel. I don’t think we would have made it through this week if it weren’t for the serenity this place brings. The beds are so comfortable and it’s the highest water pressure I’ve ever had in a hotel. Looking forward to staying here a again for an actual vacation!

Our stay was more than we could have hoped for. Impeccably clean, comfortable and the hospitality was top notch. Kim greeted us with a warm Florida welcome. She gave us a tour of this historic hotel and helped us settle in. We sat on the beautiful front porch and she gave us all the great tips about the area. We were going kayaking the next day so Kim gave us wonderful advice on renting them from Seven Sisters Campground across the road. The next morning we were treated to coffee, juice, and a delicious breakfast! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Such a peaceful, relaxing, scenic place to spend our vacation. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem.

The “Chass” treated us like family during our 2 night stay. Kim made sure everything was in place for our welcome and gave a great description of the available rooms when I booked with her. All of the rooms are unique. You are not staying in a chain hotel but one with an interesting Florida history from 1901. Becky, who has worked at the hotel for 30 years is a wealth of information of all the local best spots and restaurants. Both Kim and Becky’s recommendations were spot on . The hotel is impeccably clean and the new owner is making it even better. We loved kayaking and seeing the manatees. We will be back.
