Hotel's Favorite
Beautiful location, beautiful rooms, and very helpful staff. Juan Sebastian from Sunny Isles helped me check in and gave good information about what's around the hotel. Terrazas on the pool deck had a wonderful selection of food. Emena Spa on the ninth floor is a dream spa. Will def come back

I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip for a convention taking place at the Diplomat. The suites are beautiful in this hotel. However, that's where it ends. Upon checking in, I noticed the room was warm (78 degrees) so I cranked down the air conditioning. It blew hot air and within an hour the room was over 80 degrees. I tried to call down to the front desk but I kept getting an answering machine. I went down to tell them that the air conditioning wasn't working. I was told "it was turned off". Why would you turn it off when you had someone check in? The next morning, I woke up and there was no hot water in the shower. I figured I would go to my meetings and then come back and take a shower. When I got back, I noticed the floor was not mopped as there were shoe marks and the coffee had not been replenished. They had taken the robe I used and not replaced it. Great job, Housekeeping! And still no hot water. Tried calling down to the front desk and got a voicemail again. I went down to tell them about the hot water issue and they did not seem to care. I waited for engineering for an hour and no one came. I had to go back down again and asked for a manager. I was told that the manager was gone for the day (at 4:45p). Really? And no one could speak to me today. I would have to wait until tomorrow. The next morning, housekeeping barged into my room and I was still in bed at 8:20am. And did it again on check out day. Why are you even coming into the room that early on check out day? The elevators were slow and not all operational. The hotel definitely nickels and dimes you. They add 18% gratuity to all bills, so the service is offer because the staff knows they are getting 18%. The service is awful. They stand around doing nothing at Teraza's. The chips were stale and the guacamole was not fresh. If you want to go to the beach, you will be charged for an umbrella and chairs. Avoid this hotel! I checked out and extended my trip one day. Go to the Diplomat. The service was incredible. Complimentary chairs and umbrellas. A whole world of difference!
