First I want to say that we are Hilton team members, and we had never been treated like this at any of the other facilities. When I reserved the stay we specified we needed an early check in. When arriving to the front desk 11:00 am the clerk was not very pleasant did not allow me to check in early. I believe her hospitality needs readjustment. Seconds later I walked away from the main desk to wait for my 4pm check in I slipped and fell in the main lobby. Not one employee, came to assist me. Here I am sitting in the lobby waiting. No attention or care has been provided. No wet floor signs. So disappointed

The Diplomat is a large beachfront resort hotel. The lobby is beautiful and airy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I booked an oceanfront room and it was lovely. The bathroom included a spacious tub, frosted glass enclosed shower and separately enclosed commode with top notch finishes. The room was nicely appointed but the mattress wasn't on par with what I'd expect in a luxury hotel. It was a tad soft although I slept reasonably well. There are several pools and they are amazing. It's right on the beach of course so you get plenty of opportunity to experience white Florida sand and blue water. Wireless performed flawlessly which even now is fairly rare these days. I would expect there to be room service but I believe they are just starting to reopen so it was not available. Also, there currently isn't a restaurant on site with full breakfast, only a cafe with a small menu of offerings. If you want full breakfast you're going to have to go offsite. Again this may be available in the future when the place fully opens. Kudos to management on staff training. Every staff member I came across was very friendly and helpful.…

This stay was definitely nice, I don’t if it was because we were kid free, but my spouse and I enjoyed being to lounge on the beach and have food and drinks delivered. The inside of the hotel is designed beautiful

This resort was "refreshed" a few years ago but still needs work. Housekeeping: We found leftover food from Wendy's in our drawer when opening to put our things away. Outdoor furniture was filthy. I called twice to have it cleaned so we could use it. Sound proofing not good. Could hear people talking and doors opening and closing all night. We stuffed towels under the door to keep out the light as much as possible. Drinks, including cup of basic coffee, are grossly overpriced, as is all food. Fortunately, there are options a short uber drive away. Valet parking - over 65 a day with taxes. One would think the service would reflect the price. We texted as requested and were told car would be there in a max of 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, still waiting and finally checked with valet and they had "forgotten" to go and get it. If you are going to gouge for a service, at least provide a decent level of it. Pool areas were nice. Gym was nice. …

Probably one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve ever had the misfortune to book. Being a Hilton gold member means nothing. We spent 80k points. We had one night during a layover and figured we would get a nice room and stay at pool a bit. However long flight delay meant We arrived at 2am. Hotel front desk was rude. Room was the size of a closet. The bed was against the wall and we could barely move around. Toiletries missing. No toilet paper. Bed smelled. Went down and the front desk person ran away as I approached the desk. I was there for 15 minutes no one around to help. Now it’s 3am. We are exhausted. We are checking out at 11 so it’s not even worth it. Being gold I thought they would move us (didn’t even expect upgrade but there were 45 open rooms). But they handed us the missing items. We went back to the room and got a few hours of sleep. In the morning the hotel was totally different. Lovely staff. Beautiful pool and view and friendly people. I am upset that a weary traveler came and ended up in a terrible room without the amenities and I was still charged the points. In the morning we tried to speak to front desk but it was a long line of people and we had to catch a flight . Don’t waste your points here!…

Great hotel. However, no ramp for babies stroller in the pool area and elevator was not functional. Pool is also not heated for anyone that may be wondering. Food is not bad but a bit over priced in my opinion, and no room service available. Apart from that great ambience and hotel over all. Great pool staff. Briana stood out the most to us, very attentive and hospitable!

My husband and I decided to take a staycation to celebrate my 40th birthday. We called to reserve a balcony room with a water view (whether it be ocean or intracoastal, either option would have been acceptable) When arriving I was told that valet was full, not 30 seconds after they were accepting other cars again. While checking in, we were informed that there was no water view or balcony available. We got up to our room and discovered the lovely view of your rooftop instead (Funny enough, our fees never went down) We walked back down to the desk and attempted to ask for a manager, waited 20 minutes for management to come and decided not to waste anymore of our vacation. The lobby floors were disgusting, looked as though nobody had mopped since last week. The planters which are filled with sand to look tropical, filled with hair and trash. The kiddie slide had slime marks and looked totally unacceptable to bring my children back to! We waited almost 10 minutes for a bartender to greet us after sitting at an almost empty bar with 3 bartenders. The poor woman working the little store was there all alone with a line wrapped all around the store. Speaking of, the lid to the garbage can inside the store looked as though someone needed to wipe melted chocolate off of their fingers and just used the garbage can lid. I decided to hold on to my trash until passing another garbage can. By the way, one of the elevators sounded as though someone was using a chainsaw in them, it should probably be serviced soon! All around, the building looked beautiful from the road way, but could NOT have been anymore of a letdown! Over $600 a night for a total disappointment. I’ll be sure to make sure others know about this before another staycation/vacation is ruined!!! …

My wife and I stayed four nights over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel itself is very nice. Unfortunately, I think they sell day passes which results in overcrowded pool and beach area. For that reason, we won't return. However, the Diplomat Steakhouse is pretty amazing and we had some of the best steak we've had in a long time. Daisy the bartender is awesome. The Hotel Bar while beautiful, has fairly poor service. We ordered food at the Hotel bar and never received it. Eventually they found our order which had been sitting behind the bar for at least 45 mins--they bagged it and still brought it to us to go. We ordered it to eat at the bar. I couldn't believe they presented us with food that had been sitting behind the bar for 45 minutes and expected us to accept it.
