Well, here we go. Re-imagined? Iconic? Legendary? Alright, you’ve heard it all. But what you may not heard is that this place, though not uniquely, is a money trap for the unsuspecting. It is a sort of “hostage taker” that takes advantage of the poorly planned and developed location to suck you dry for money. Located on a beach strip (yes on top of the beach strip, not by the beach) and cut off from anything else this is a naked money making machine. Rooms are sold for obscene prices (around $1,000 per night) and then you will pay $40 for a tiny portion of oatmeal for breakfast. For lunch and dinner around $100 for a bowl of pasta from a five star chef (well, still it’s only pasta!) and there is absolutely nowhere to go to find alternatives. We were forced to have “breakfast” at a roadside 7/11 cuz we just could not go on with this. Bottom line - greedy hotels enabled by greedy urban “planners”. Absolute worst treatment. I refuse to even consider it a “vacation”. If I could give it minus five stars I would.

Hello Mrs. Natalia - Thank you for your candid feedback. Appreciate you comments and very sorry hear that you did not enjoy your visit last year. Our goal is obviously to exceed expectation for every guest and usually our 8 outlets and settings on Hollywood beach do exactly that! I have been unable to trace your reservation or stay so would love to discuss with you. My email is laurens.zieren@diplomatresort.com. Our family has been going to this gem of a hotel for over 10 years, when it was a Westin property and recently a Hilton. Beautiful lounge and bar, amazing 2-level pool area, great beachside restaurant and just steps away from the beach.

I strongly recommend this hotel, it is the epitome of relaxation and unwinding. I have stayed here over 5 times and have never been disappointed. They have great variety of dining options and the lobby is so vast you always feel like you have adequate space.

The Resort is magnificent and it’s huge, with great Rooms, a wonderful Pool, Beach access and great Restaurants. We planned our vacation thinking we were going to explore Hollywood and the surrounding area but we never left the Resort. It was so much happening & lively inside the Hotel that we hardly went out except Sawgrass Mills & Miami beach for Shopping and quick tour of the city. The beach, 02 swimming pools, huge Lobby, friendly staff, breakfast & especially our room was spacious with 180 degree view of the Hollywood city from the 24th floor. Me & Wife didn’t feel to leave this magical place. We would love to come back & would definitely recommend it highly.

We stayed here for a week in November, and loved every minute of it. From check in to check out, every detail was perfect. Our room was beautiful with a huge wraparound balcony and every amenity. The beach was lovely as was the pool. The pool was a bit chilly and there were a few too many kids in the hot tub. Restaurants were all great and the bartender at the pool bar really made our day, and shots of tequila, more fun:) Thank you for a great trip.. it is April now and I was dreaming of being there again, and can't wait to travel again. Side note, I heard they will no longer be Hilton, but that, I feel, will be a travisty.
