I booked an oceanfront balcony room with valet service from January 18 to January 20, 2025, through Hilton Honors at a premium rate, as I was seeking a much-needed break following my mother's passing. The Diplomat Hotel on the beach was my top choice due to its proximity.
Before my arrival on January 18, I spoke with Joe, the concierge, who was very friendly and helpful in securing two dinner reservations at the Prime Steakhouse. Upon arrival, the valet and bellhop staff were courteous and professional, which set a positive tone for my stay.
We were taken to room 3369, which was beautifully appointed. However, I encountered a small issue when I tried to make coffee and noticed that the coffee maker was missing its water reservoir. I reached out to room service, and they promptly provided a new coffee maker along with all the necessary condiments.
After enjoying a wonderful dinner at the Prime restaurant, we spent the evening in the lobby, sipping cocktails while listening to a talented two-piece band, which was delightful.
Upon returning to our room, I noticed a ring in the toilet, and the bathtub had skid marks and hair in the drain from a prior guest. I brought this to the attention of housekeeping in the morning, and they assured me that someone would come to address it. Later, when I returned, I was greeted by the housekeeper assigned to my room. While she indicated that the room had been cleaned, I pointed out the skid marks and hair, which she promptly removed. Unfortunately, when I returned to the room after a day at the beach, I found that the same hair had been moved to the shower, which hadn't been there earlier.
During checkout, I discussed my concerns with Ashley, who was already aware of my earlier complaints. She kindly offered to connect me with the housekeeping manager, but I was primarily focused on reconciling my bill due to time constraints. Upon reviewing my bill, which seemed quite high for just a two-day stay, I noticed I had been double charged for valet service and charged $40 by the cabana attendant, Max, without being informed beforehand of the charges for four water bottles and a bucket of ice. Ashley was attentive and helpful in addressing the discrepancies, but the overall experience left me feeling a bit disappointed and taken aback.
I appreciate the staff's efforts but believe there are opportunities for improvements in housekeeping and billing transparency.

This is one of my favorite hotels for business conferences. The conference center is gorgeous, spacious, and has an excellent staff. It's so easy to get to from the hotel, which makes it a convenient place to stay.
Every time I've stayed here, I've received a room with a partial ocean view, a large clean bathroom with a lovely tub, and a spacious balcony. The beds are very comfortable.
I my recent stay we hosted a private dinner at the Prime Steakhouse for business clients. The food, service and ambiance were perfect.
A few days later I returned to the hotel just as Prime Steakhouse was closing, after a travel snafu. All I wanted was a quick meal and my bed. The host and bartender could not have been more accommodating, whipping up a salad and crab cake to take up to my room, and offering a complimentary glass of wine. They even packed me up a little chocolate desert. It was very kind and much appreciated.
I would love to come here some time with my family, to enjoy the excellent beach and pool service. There's a splash zone for kids that my little boy would love, and several family-friendly pools. They seem to do a great job of offering something for everyone.

While the facility is ageing a bit, it s still very beautiful and located on an iconic and pristine beach with gorgeous vistas and sunrises. But, my issue is with facilities and personnel management. During our stay half the elevators in our wing were out of service. Today when a convention of 1000 people all checked out at the same time we did, the wait for a bellman was excessively long, delaying our check out and disrupting our plans for the day. Moreover, the only elevator that takes you to the lower level pool (which has safe entry and exit assists), was broken (apparently a recurring problem) which made it very difficult for the two us who have mobility issues to get to and especially from that pool. While a representative did efficiently escort us to the pool, we had to wait over 35 minutes for security to take us thru the hotel's underground catacombs and up a freight elevator to the main floor. When we complained, the MOD did recognize our complaints as valid and did offer some compensation. However, it seems the hotel is not concerned about ADA issues or potential violations and it seems that it is not adequately staffed for large groups and is also not able to keep numerous elevators in running condition.
Housekeeping was a recurring issue and we had actually ask for our room to be made up on more than one occasion. Our room was spacious, had a fridge, was quiet and very close to the elevator that was functioning.
As expected in hotels these days, prices for food are very high, but we had to pay over $52 per day for the privilege of valet parking!! (they make no accommodations for the handicapped, unlike most establishments in Florida.)
For what is billed as 5 star experience, the hotel rates were not excessive.
Housekeeping was a recurring issue and we had actually ask for our room to be made up on more than one occasion. Our room was spacious, had a fridge, was quiet and very close to the elevator that was functioning.

This Hollywood Beach resort is located with direct access to the beach without having to walk across a busy street to touch the sand. The parking garage bridge is a huge plus making coming and going from the hotel very convenient. The food was excellent as usual, which is what the Curio brand is known to have. Unfortunately, during our stay there was major construction happening in the pool area and I saw work being done to 1 jacuzzi. This hotel needs more than 1 jacuzzi and the pool area is not large enough to hold the amount of guests that can stay at this hotel. The beach area was nice and there were many great hotel employees making sure everyone had their chairs and drinks if needed. I felt very safe with plenty of security checking for wrist bands to make sure the property is only accessible to hotel guests. I will revisit this beach resort when construction is complete to get a full feel of pool next time.

Our girls trip was amazing.
Go see, Joe, the concierge, at the beginning of your trip. You WILL NOT be disappointed. We had a group of 7 girls and was able to get us last minute reservations for Friday & Saturday evenings. Both of the places he recommended were amazing. We went to GG’s waterfront and our group was sat inside but with an amazing view of the water! The next night, we went to Matteo’s and that experience made our trip! The girls were saying from the beginning, they wanted great food, music, dancing, and maybe even some karaoke. OMG, Matteo’s on a Saturday night was everything we wanted and much more! Joe even made a surprise appearance and introduced us to the owner & made sure our group was well taken care of.
I cannot say enough about great things about Joe, his expertise and passion for service!!
For the hotel, it is currently under renovation but that really didn’t hinder our stay or experience. The arrival is a little confusing but we managed. They had activities planned daily (mostly for kids), live music or DJs, cocktail tastings. It was conveniently located directly on the beautiful beach! Great beachside service. One of the pools was closed but they have a massive double sided pool that was nice and cold! The food & beverage at the hotel is quite pricey, but very easy to pickup snacks/water at the local Walmart or Publix and delivery service to the hotel was very easy too! The housekeepers on the floor were so very nice & very accommodating if you needed a refresh or service.
Overall, we had an amazing girls trip and I would definitely recommend this hotel and would absolutely go back.

We visited for the first time in January 2024. Really enjoyed ourselves and decided to return this January. The reviews of construction and service concerned us but no worries. The finished lobby is very nice. The rooms are still well appointed, but are not serviced regularly. We had someone stop by and cleaned only on the first day, after that someone stopped by around 8 PM each evening to ask if we needed something. The trash piled up.
Staff were friendly and helpful everywhere at the resort. Except at Counter Point, they add an automatic 20% gratuity to all checks. Makes it easy to sign and go.
The main pool is open, one hot tub is open, and the beach is fabulous.
Because the kids area is closed, families are taking over the single pool left opened and it makes things a little more unpleasant for those of us vacationing without children.

We checked in quite excited but then it was one disappointment after another. For the rates the hotel is charging, the value is not there. The room has an old air conditioner that makes a lot of noise when you turn it on. We went out for the day and returned at 8 pm. The bed had been made but it seemed that whoever was cleaning the room left half way through the job. They did not replace the bath gel so there was no new soap in the bathroom. Some empty bags and toothpicks were still on the floor and nite table. A dirty bath towel was also still sitting in the bathroom. I called reception to order new towels and bath gel and was told they could not expedite sending it to the room.They said they would send a text to housekeeping and whenever they would get there, they would be there but they had no control over the timing. I would expect alot more from a five star resort. Coffee in the take out canteen was $7.49- it makes Starbucks look cheap and even though it was windy and rainy and impossible to use any of the facilities there is still a $45 a day resort fee.

Beach is very nice with towels and water available. Double room has 2 full beds and is crowded but nice. However, the pool is very crowded and dirty, especially the single hot tub (one only for the entire property?). The poolside cabanas are a party site that can be so full it is hard to walk by. Despite it being a no-smoking property, quite a bit of smoking around. I think the pool situation may improve when the second pool opens. We were told the pool would open in February but still very loud construction work. Very much feel the conference presence, too. Most frustrating, however, was the housekeeping situation. No one came the first two days to clean or freshen anything despite multiple requests. They stated we turned them away (untrue, as no one was in the room for the day). Customer service was vaguely apologetic but after spending so much, it felt inadequate. overpriced for what it is, I suppose?

First time at this beautiful hotel! Suite is spacious and airy. Beds are extremely comfy. Their service was next level. Housekeeping came twice a day, once to tidy the room and later to offer fresh towels and toiletries. A Special shout out to INGRID for going out of her way to fulfill our requests. She was so pleasant and did everything with a smile. The New Lobby is stunning with that tropical vibe. Beach front staff give five-star level service! Concierge provided us with maps for biking. All in all a beautiful experience. This will be our new florida destination! Thank You!

There are showers OUTSIDE, not private, near beach and pools.
I want to yes 100 percent when you have a package that include breakfast , now if you are Hilton honors member also it helped whether you are Gold or Diamond member you will definitely get some credit. Regarding the package I would suggest just to reach out ton the hotel directly and with the type reservation you have, they can give more details. The breakfast is definitely good and waiters very nice. Hope that help
Are you aware of how many Executive lounges are still open with Hilton in the States. I read few days ago it was 32! Yes, crazy. So I guess those are a benefit of the past till one of the big player may decide otherwise. Do you remember the day complentary food was served in economy on US domestic flights... If you want a lounge, best place for holidays is Asia!
