Travelers' Choice
The Laurel Oak Inn is a five room bed and breakfast offering southern hospitality with an east coast flair. Our 1885 Queen Anne Victorian was completely restored to its natural beauty in 1999. We serve a wonderfully prepared breakfast every morning at 9:00 AM and gladly provide accommodations tailored to meet the needs of corporate and business travelers. If you are unable to have breakfast during your stay we will gladly provide a continental style breakfast "to go" with proper notice. We are located blocks from Gainesville's vibrant downtown and nestled in a quiet, residential and historic neighborhood one mile from the eastern edge of the University of Florida campus. Our rates range from $189 to $245 per evening. We hope you enjoy the comfort and joy of our home as you are making memories during your stay.

Our stay was even better than I expected it would be! The owners are as sweet as can be, and truly accommodating in every way! It happened to be Easter eve that we stayed there, and we brought our son with us. We asked if they could stage the Easter basket downstairs for us, so that we could surprise him and they did that and even offered and set up his Easter egg hunt as well! So sweet and unexpected! This mama had a stress-free holiday. They made the most delicious breakfast and have the best local coffee available. Yum! And did I mention how beautiful this place is? And how clean?! Couldn’t have asked for a better staycation than that! Thank you!!!

If you are looking for the perfect B&B experience, this is it. Wonderful hosts, beautiful house, ideal location. Oh, and breakfast, simply yum!! We hope that our travels bring us back to Gainesville and the ambience of this inn. We were fortunate to book the room with the private balcony overlooking the backyard. It was a treat to sip my morning tea and listen to bird song. Perfect!

We received a gift certificate for a stay at The Laurel Oak Inn from our children, and what a special place we found it to be! Nan & Dave were in contact with us as the date drew near and were attentive and charming hosts throughout our stay. Our room was elegant and spacious, with a gorgeous fireplace! The sheets and bedding were just crazy comfortable, and the bath products were divine. We loved everything about the LOI, and definitely plan to make it back❤️

We had a fabulous overnight at the Laurel oak Inn on a recent trip to Gainesville. Nan and Dave went out of their way to make sure that we felt welcome and were so helpful and warm. The property was meticulously maintained with love and care. I was most excited about the breakfast and it was fabulous too with a delicious BlackBerry juice to go along with go along with our Sunday berry pastry and accompaniments. Worth the stop and would definitely return.

Warm and charming. And that was just the owners! In town for a Gator basketball game and decided to see what all the great reviews were about. The B&B is outstanding with perfectly adorned, comfortable rooms. Nan and Dave made check-in easy, were the quintessential hosts, and made our stay a pure delight. Oh and the breakfast was delicious!Definitely deserves its superb rating. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful historic building with elegant, carefully-chosen furniture. Easy parking and very quiet neighbourhood. Super-comfy bed, the Cumberland Suite has a magnificent bathtub with bubble jets. Tasty cooked breakfast, I got an amazing Strata with egg, cheese, sausage and apples. Nan is a very attentive and impressingly knowledgeable host, she gave valuable advice and it was great fun talking to her! Check-in after 6pm was very easy. A place to truly feel at home!

My husband and I enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Laurel Oak Inn in December, and we had a flawless stay with Nan and Dave! Our family rented all of the rooms so we had a very cozy, relaxing time enjoying the property and the hospitality. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and well-appointed, with charming touches in every corner. Every morning we gathered at the dining table to be served a scrumptious, healthful breakfast paired with fresh-squeezed juice from the tangelo tree on the property! We enjoyed lounging on the porch areas outside and getting to know Nan & Dave over the course of our stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group including coordinating a rehearsal dinner one evening, and chauffeuring us to and from the wedding the next night! Talk about 5-star service! A truly special experience that we'll never forget.

This was our second time staying at the Laurel Oak Inn. Three years ago we discovered the beautiful preserves in the area and chose the Laurel Oak Inn based on the reviews and the beautiful photos that showed the Inn. Our choice was a bit random. But this time we deliberately chose the Inn because we knew we'd totally enjoy our stay and we did. The proprietors, Nan and Dave, were wonderful hosts. They made us feel welcomed and were very helpful helping us find good places to eat dinner and places to visit. Oh, did I mention the delicious breakfasts that were included? Both visits were totally enjoyable and we will be back visiting the preserves again and we will definitely stay set the Laurel Oak Inn again. We highly recommend staying at the Laurel Oak Inn. It imbues True Southern Hospitality.

We visited this property right before Christmas and found it to be just like a scene from a Hallmark movie! It was decorated for the holiday parade of historical homes, but the underlying architecture and appointments throughout the Inn were impeccable. From the linens to the clawfoot tub and the oh so comfortable beds, no detail was overlooked. The Inn is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Nan and Dave were accommodating hosts and so genuinely kind and helpful. The Sunday morning French Toast with crisp bacon and bourbon maple syrup was a yummy start to our day. We will definitely be back!! Thank-you!
