We were introduced to this hotel when our daughter attended UF. Our stay has always been enjoyable! The lobby is HOMEY! They serve free cocktails during happy hour, along with chips and popcorn. Breakfast is buffet style. the rooms are large and well appointed. The location is directly off I75. There are restaurants and malls everywhere. The university is nearby.

My husband and I stayed here when it was the Cabot Lodge. We LOVED staying here because of its location and wonderful hospitality. They also had a social hour in the evenings that made the value of our stay even more worth it! This Lodge is definitely a place to look into staying when visiting Gainesville.

I stayed here for a college reunion and we had great service. The beds and linens are very comfortable and the place is quiet. Free breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, bagels, etc., till 10am. They also have a free happy hour for guests. After we left we thought we left a ring and called the hotel. They... Plenty of dining and shopping choices nearby. A favorite hotel on game day weekends, requires two night minimum stay. Very nice staff, managed to scare up a room even though technically full and couldn't find our confirmed reservation.

The beds are queen size-bit small for folks used to King-but comfortable enough for a good nights sleep. (That's my Best comment and an important one.👍🏻) Otherwise nothing impressive here. Photos online gave us expectation of better accommodations than found on arrival. Place looks "tired" but clean. We were told renovations planned in near future. Room clean, but not the... More

Conveniently located immediately off of I-75 and on the main road (Archer) into Gainesville. Check-in was swift, the room clean, comfortable, and quiet (even with a full house - buses & buses of athletes in for a University of Florida track event). The lobby and common area is open and inviting in an oversized log cabin style, with couch and... More

Have stayed here a couple of times and have not had any problems. Place is clean, it is an older hotel but you can tell owners doing a good job of keeping it up. It is close to most anything in G-ville. I stay while visiting family in the area. The breakfast buffet is ok would be nice if they... More

My family had a medical emergency with my son who was attending Florida. After driving several hours to get to Gainesville we found it was car show werkend no rooms to be found. I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed my stay. So I did not hesitate to stay again. While it wasn't horrible, there were several disappointing aspects of our stay. The first night we stayed, they took our dirty towels, did not clean or make the beds, and didn't leave clean towels. When I got back to the room... More

The lobby is wonderful, all rustic with open beans, a gigantic fireplace, cozy seating, very friendly front desk personnel, the room was clean, but needed some bathroom remodeling. The bed was comfortable at first, but then the mattress tended to pull or roll you into the middle sag where you could actually feel the springs and rods underneath you, so... More
