Stayed here one night to go to son's UF orientation. It is no frills but very close to campus, shops and restaurants. It is inexpensive and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. Served it's purpose but I wouldn't stay here for an actual vacation. Good for just a night or two. I will probably stay here when I drive... More

We were so pleasantly surprised!! We really didn't expect from such a great value, however, not only is the staff exceptional but the room is very nice and very clean. We will definitely stay here again!!

Had the first room from office office on the first floor, with a king bed. Was nearest room to the street, but did not hear street noise. Motel is older, estimate possible 1960s era from design, and is being renovated. Very friendly/helpful staff, bed apeared new and was firm, shower had been redone with new hrdware and grab bar.. Free... More

Awesome place to stayed in Gainesville. The front desk people are very very nice. The Lodge is very close to the University of Florida and the Infinity Hall, which I love since my son will be staying at this Hall. The room I stayed in was very clean and the service was amazing. I will definitely stay at the Lodge... More

The hotel is an old travel lodge, not much refurbish has happened by the looks. The hotel is clean enough and the staff were friendly, but the bed was very hard, and the shower temp is spotty. Overall this is good for an overnight stay but I wouldn't book it for a week.

Coastal locations were outside my budget so headed inland to Gainesville, based on reviews and rate. Offered a warm welcome by the owner, given second floor room. First impressions good, room looked clean, wooden floor. Was warm when I entered but AC cooled things down although noisy at night you need to keep it on. A little sparse inside. Dresser... More

I really wanted to like this place, and the management was very nice. But the place was really bad, the room smelled awful, was shabby, my family took one look and refused to stay. We paid the night, but went and booked another room at the nearby Holiday Inn. Sorry Gainesville Lodge.

Obviously it is not a Marriott or a Hilton, but it is a place to sleep. It was a busy weekend in Gainesville and all the other hotels were booked. It was either stay here or get a hotel in Ocala or Lake City. We had an early event the next day so we decided this place would suit our... More

I booked this motel for $50, and while it's not the nicest place, I have stayed in far worse for twice as much. The tv's are outdated, and some of the furniture needs to be replaced, but it's clean, smells good, the bathrooms are acceptable (although the toilet is a little too small), and the beds are comfortable. The walls... More

As many of the other reviews state, this is an older property. It's not fancy but it's also not generally $200/night either. It's reasonably clean (though the tops of things could use some dusting). It's comfortable. It got the 4th star for the staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful and interesting to talk to and the housekeepers are... More
