This hotel after talking shower my feet turned black due to improper cleaning on the floors but most of all has cock roaches in the rooms never stay here again they only have housekeeping every 3rd day I am a smoker but could not pay me enough to stay here again even if they have smoking rooms.
I’ll start this out with stating I never leave reviews... I felt this was necessary. I travel weekly for work. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels good and bad. First time in 6 years being told cash deposit only because I booked online, everywhere I’ve ever stayed takes cards for deposit. It’s 12:30am, long day, I have no debit card with me (my dog chewed the chip out of it this morning, I wish I could say that’s a joke) no way to get cash out with no debit card after midnight and they refused to allow me to stay without cash. Not sure why he originally took my credit card with my ID? He claims hotels.com states cash deposit however all it says is $50 deposit required. I was told “I’m just an employee I don’t make the rules” I then replied with “you should inform the owner that most if not all hotels allow CC deposits and then they’re refunded after checkout” I was then responded to with a very snippy voice “I am the owner this is my hotel” glad we figured this part out bud. So here we are after midnight, I try to reason with the owner showing him my card and why I can’t get cash out, he then asks if I have a pet with me. I said no and laughed explaining he just chewed it this morning and asked if he can please use a credit card as I have nowhere to go at this point and he says “not my problem.” He took a jab at hotels.com and said when I book through them he can’t even see how much they charged me and he doesn’t know how much money they’re taking from him when I use them. (If you read this, that is marketing bud. It’s cost of business. Without them I would have never even found your hotel. They’re bringing you business you wouldn’t have had filling your vacancies and you’re choosing to be listed on there as well). He also tells me he can refund me but can not take a card for deposit. I call Hotels.com to try and switch hotels and he denies them refunding the stay. I now walk back in and ask him about telling me he could and he tells me “I never said that”. This could easily go into a longer rant than it already is, long story short, I visit this area one week a month and I will never give this place a single penny again based off the owner’s lack of ability to simply be a decent human being or have a single pleasant bone in his body. Many other hotels in the area for the price range, book in advance as the area sells out often and you could end up in my current predicament. Cheers to going to bed at 1am in my car, thank you Fairway Inn!…
I will give zero stars if I could. Checked in at 4 o’clock went sightseeing after leaving our stuff in the room. Came back room still had a strong musty smell after turning on Ac noticed that there was food and POOP on the walls, floor had food and debris on it where it had not been swept or mopped, pulling back the covers noticed that one of the beds smelled of urine and had a heavy urine stain And mildew on it . Reported to front office along with Expedia all front office offered is change rooms. Since we checked in at 4 o’clock front desk would not issue full refund only change room and issue a refund for the remaining days we were going to stay. New room was no better not cleaned this place needs to be shut down!
We came to florid and got a room at the Fairfield Inn on Miracle Strip Pkwy. We checked in on October 11, 2019 quite late in the evening and, having seen the rooms on booking sites were $70, were advised the room was $89 and, including taxes and fees, came out to a total of $100.35. We paid this in cash as a banking error was causing us to have to pay cash for everything. We only got the room for the one night at that point. The next day, we decided to go ahead and stay another night. Again, I paid the $100.35. When we decide to stay another night, having had a small deposit clear to my other account, I checked the booking sites. For the Sunday, October 13, rates that had since increased to $77. Not much in savings but a little and again, this was our third night at the hotel. We have not asked for any services or items from the hotel such as clean towels or had the room cleaned or anything. So imagine my surprise when we go to let the hotel staff know we were going to be staying a third night but had booked online to save just a little money and were advised we would have to check out in the morning and check BACK in at 3pm... because we booked online. We booked the same exact type of room even. So, being petty, they are going to have to clean TWO rooms for us, pay their staff to do so, pay to launder the towels and sheets twice, and replace all items like the cups and shampoo/conditioner/soap... for $12. That’s petty, plain and simple.…
We booked at booking.com, upon arrival we were told our card was declined. My husband presented the attendee with his debit card, and license. After running the card, my husband noticed the pet fee was $40 per pet per night. Considering the room was just $67 a night I refused to pay that for my pet to stay. The attendee then stated we would have to go through booking.com to be refunded as we did not stay. Contacted booking.com when they contacted the property they stated we stayed that one night. I sent screen shots to booking.com which showed a charge for the days in where we did stay. I then called Fairway, whomever I spoke with seemed to think it was a joke. And when I said he had bad customer service he just laughed. Save yourself the headache of disputing charges and stay somewhere else.…
