Base upon reviews and reading their web site they stated that they were open for business so we made reservations for one night and to support the local area. The hotel was very nice. Attractive bright colors in the check in area. Our room has nice decor, nice large comfy bedroom, full kitchen, two in screen decks for sunning from the east and from the west. Large two person showers. Large living room and kitchen. Our room which was on the third floor, was in the second building next to the main area. There are three buildings on the property. We did venture to the beach which was very flat and packed with nice new chairs and umbrellas. We did some fine shelling along the beach. All the pool chairs and umbrellas were brand new for shade. The Octopool was empty except for a few hotel guests lounging in the sun. The Beach was also empty except for the hotel guests. And a few sun worshippers at the open public beach access. Breakfast was included so we did that before hitting the road to Naples. Overall, a nice one night stay, there is still plenty of work to be done all over the property. It will be a year on September 28th when Hurricane Ian devastated Fort Meyers Beach. The hotel did get a ocean surge of 15 feet high. Thats a-lot of water damage and they did fix up the place in less than a year. Most of FMB is leveled to nothing. Nice check in by Bonnie, who was behind the front desk. Give this place a try. We will be back!!! 🏖️🏖️🏖️

Amazing and heartwarming. The staff exceptional!! Breakfast what a treat hot and cold. The room perfect. I had a slight family situation which was handled with such professionalism I thank everyone for their kindness, understanding, compassion and comfort. Loved the screened in balcony right on the beach. What an amazing experience. Heartwarming on how everyone, every single staff member, with all they have and still are enduring, made this for their guests such an amazing experience I applaud everyone!! And the guests, how many I met are repeaters. Cool. I’ll definitely be going back. Can’t imagine how it will be when construction is done. I highly recommend a stay here.

Our family went in August 2023, 11 months after hurricane Ian. The Pink Shell was one of the very few hotels open on the beach, and was only at 6% capacity when we went. It came recommended and we were very pleased with our entire stay. The hotel staff was one of the friendliest, I have seen anywhere. Very knowledgeable and helpful. We knew going into it that there would be construction and rebuilding, so it was not a “typical” stay, but it really wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was great, both in dining room and on the patio. Love the cute pool towels, the free beach bag, the octo-pool, the poolside drinks. Room was like a small apartment. We had a separate bedroom with 2 queens, and living room with pullout sofa – perfect for having two adult children. If we are in the area again, I would definitely go back!

My main complaint was I wish we'd stayed longer! What a find!!! As British we definitely appreciated the Malton brown toiletries 👍 the bracelet that works as a door key, the bottled water and free tote bag! The room had brilliant facilities we were not expecting from coffee machine, full fridge, sink and plates etc. The staff were super friendly and I'm so sad we only had chance to stop one night. Yes the hotel was obviously hit by the hurricane, but hats off to them for keeping it going and they do a great job and was impressed with what they're running. There is access to the beach and a wonderful pool our children thoroughly enjoyed. If we were staying longer id have requested two extra dining chairs as we only had two and we were a family of four but this really didn't matter for one night. My only recommendation (and I'm high maintenance) would be upsize the towel but really loved this place.

Stayed here with 3yr old and 10mo old, along with a set of grandparents. Yes, the Pink Shell is still rebuilding from last years hurricane. But yes, the beach, pool and staff are just as excellent as they were on our visit last year before the storm. Actually, it was very impressive to see so many familiar faces again! Damien at the poolside bar was excellent. Incredibly friendly, always let me know the specials, and was nice enough to chat about the current situation in Ft Myers Beach. Shout out to Damien! Vance the beach supervisor - he went above and beyond in helping us carry our luggage out of the car and to the elevator. Also he was always there in the morning to get an umbrella set up for us. Diego the pool chef - wonderful guy to chat with, we really enjoyed swapping family and dog stories. Plus the poolside food was great. Tips for improvement 1) It was impossible to find any managers anywhere. I figured they would be walking around chatting with guests or asking how the stay was but that was left to the day to day employees. I actually had to find the Food and Bev Director to pass along some kind words about the staff and to ask about the below. The Food & Bev Director was very nice and spent quite a bit of time talking to me about improvements. I can't remember your name but thank you for your time, it was enjoyable! 2) Opening the pool bar (the only bar) past 4pm for happy hour and sunsets. I was told there will be a bar on the beach opening the week after we left but no sunset happy hour? Dang... Overall our family stay was excellent and we would do it again!

This place was amazing during our stay! The staff (every single one we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, pool and beach area was clean, everything just great! The only thing issue was issues at the pool. A large group of several families took over the entire area yesterday. They brought about 3 large coolers full of liquor (rules state no coolers) and had their own music blasting from their own speaker by the pool the entire day. We have young children and it was difficult to enjoy the pool area. I wish staff had at least discouraged the music. I know it seems like I’m complaining about a small thing. But if you had been here you would understand. Otherwise the stay was wonderful! Sad to leave.

This is a beautiful resort in a great location. The views and rooms are wonderful. Our room was amazing. The resort feet per day was a little much and I didn’t expect it at check out but that is on me as I didn’t read the fine print when I booked. But it will not change my recommendation. This place is wonderful and the staff is equally great.

Even though resort is still under repair, the site was great. All Gulf views and staff from check in to maintenance and housekeeping were fantastic. Breakfast buffet was outstanding Can't wait for repairs to be finished.

Great 4th of July! got a day resort access to the pool and beach.. Checked in at the lobby. The staff was over-the-top nice they provided beach towel and directions Very nice pool, lots of chairs and umbrellas there was music and really good food, hotdogs hamburgers, wraps, ice cream were very reasonably priced. The hotel is still under renovation after the storm, but they have done an outstanding job, getting it up and moving again. Once again, I can’t stress enough how great the staff was all of the staff from the front desk to the guy cooking outside, once again, I can’t stress enough about how great the staff was, all of the staff, parking attendants, front desk, guys cooking at the grill all made a big effort to an enjoyable day
