Tip Top Isles Waterfront Resort & Marina Overview Prices Reviews My husband and I spent several days here and our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. We had a wonderful time. This hotel is quirky. The rooms, I was in several, are VERY clean. The king rooms are a good size. There is a table with 2 kitchen chairs, a good size dresser and a desk. The king beds are platform beds so instead of a box spring the mattress sits on wood. It is still very comfortable but be careful of the corners. I put the luggage rack at the foot of the bed after the first time I walked into the corner and had no problem with the corner again. That could be me. A little clumsy. The floors are tile and clean. I like that. No dirty carpet. There are tables and chairs outside every room and we even made friends with the neighbors. The outside is not pretty and it surely could be. The walkways need painting and get rid of the ugly pieces of patio furniture. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and tables without them. Some blinds or contact paper on the store room windows would go a long way. The pool area could use some new umbrellas but the pool is wonderful. It was clean and warm. The owners are on site and very sweet and helpful. I upgraded one of the rooms I reserved from the double queen to the loft. I am so happy I did. The grandkids loved it. There was room for everyone to spread out. We had no problem with the wifi connection the way we do with most hotels. And the TV had at least 100 channels. There is a TV in the patio area and plenty of nice tables and chairs. Please get rid of the old recliner. There are charcoal grills, kayaks and bicycles on site to use and the marina. We did not rent a boat but if we had one more day, we would have. Maybe next time. And then, of course, there is the price. This is the best place for the money that we have stayed in and we take get-a-way weekends several times a year. A little maintenance would make a big difference. The boat rental option was super convenient and great for a short day on the water. The reviews on Tip Top Isles were across the board . We stayed a night to catch the Express Ferry to Key West . Young lady at check in was polite and helpful . The room was clean and comfortable and very fairly priced . I travel frequently for business and consider myself a seasoned traveler . I had no complaints with this motel .

We stayed one night in March 2019 for ~150€, which is in our opinion an incredible high price for a motel, but it seems quite normal for FL during that season. In general the room was clean, but not very cosy. The main problem and therefore the bad rating, was the humidity in the room. The room stank like blue cheese which was a clear indicator for mold. We could also see the black spots in the bathroom and on the shades next to the bed. In total the price-performance ratio was poor and it was a real bad night for us, therefore we would not recommend the motel. For such high prices you would expect at least a room in good condition to spend a restful night. According to the visible conditions of the room, the problems must have exists for quite some time, which indicates for us a poor maintenance process.

Very affordable prices to rent a pontoon! You can rent in 2, 4, or 8 hour increments. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Boats were all in good condition as well. This was the most affordable place to rent a boat in the area. Boats can hold up to 8 people. We took a half day trip to Lovers Key and it was beautiful! Pack your own coolers/snacks for a perfect day on the back bay. We had a 50hp motor so it didn’t go the fastest but you shouldn’t be renting a pontoon if you want to go fast anyways. Will definitely return!

Stayed at Tip Top. The staff was so friendly offering advice and recommendations. The pool was small but clean the chairs weren’t the greatest but patio chairs in Florida get a lot of wear and tear. Wished they had morning coffee (not the machine in room I wanted to sit outside and drink fresh brewed coffee) Bath towels were skimpy but it was clean room with mini fridge microwave iron small table and chairs and patio table and chairs. Was in a perfect location just before the bridge to Ft Myers Beach as we didn’t want to spend 300.00 or more to be on beach. Had kayaks for free but we didn’t use them. Could rent a Pontoon 2 hrs 99.00 or 4 hrs 179.00 they looked nicely cared for but we were not familiar with the waterways so opted out. Good value during spring high season would recommend just know it’s a motel not a resort. We have stayed at high end resorts and dive motels, as long as you know going in what to expect don’t let the other poor reviews scare you!
