This place is the meaning of hidden gem!!!
Service from Lien and Pat was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for better hosts!
Location. Right in the heart of the beach area literally 3 minutes from beach and 30 seconds to restaurants but super quiet. Free parking as well.
Hotel. Rooms are rustic but very clean. Fridge, and small kitchen. Bbq for guests to use which was great as we cooked dinner in one night. Has a great Florida feel to the property as beautiful gardens. Simple complementary breakfast each morning to
Overlooking the water way, we did see a couple of manatees. Plus the two pools were so nice to sit and relax in.
We loved the upstairs room as quiet and lovely sitting on balcony

As many others have stated, the location of this small inn is practically perfect. We really appreciated the ability to walk just a few minutes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach area. It was so quiet and calm, we couldn't believe that we had just been in the crowds near the beach. The room was spotless. The beds were a bit soft but we both slept well. Because of Covid measure, breakfast at the inn was not being served.

Three of us retirees from American Airlines stayed here in December and what a charming studio and lovely owners of this hidden gem. It is close to many restaurants and walking distance to the pier and beach. The place has two pools and lovely views of Manatee Bay. We will hopefully return soon for a time of relaxation and fun!

The location is good, just around the corner from bars and beach but still quiet.
Checkin was ok.
The dock is great to sunbathe on, watching the boats and wildlife apart from the days the workmen were working there which was a bit annoying. we were not told this.
The room. Was clean but smaller than the pictures portray and dark. the bathroom was really small with a pretty poor shower.
The kitchen area was fine with a full fridge and cooker.
Bed small and sofa knackered.
No safe.
Air-con was just awful. Really loud.
Badly needs an update. Thought this place was expensive for what it is. Found cheaper, bigger and more up-together in the Keys which is renowned for being expensive.

The ground floor room had a door that did not seal and a bathroom window without a lock. The room door went directly outside. Floors were dirty, walls and ceiling had flaking paint from water damage and mold. Bedspread had stains. Bugs in the bathroom.

This place is a bed and breakfast house lead by a German couple. We really loved to stay here (4 nights). Everything was fine from the first contact until check-out. The atmosphere is familiar and you can get in touch with other guests if you like. If you don't they will respect your privacy. When you look around you feel they put a lot of love in everything.
The rooms (actually small apartments) are very clean and nicely furnished, there is a heated pool (right in front of our room), each room has a small porch or balcony and everything is well-tended.
The house sits at a marina and there is a wooden porch right above the water surface. You can sit there in your deck chair and watch the boats floating by. Very relaxing. You can also watch pelicans splashing into the water. And it's very romantic at night - you listen to the crickets and in front of you you can see the dimmed lights of the opposite buildings reflecting on the water surface.
Breakfast was great. We also had the opportunity to cook something in our apartment. The kitchette is well-equipped. Don't prepare steaks - we had some trouble getting rid of the smoke.
They have a really nice website - it's worth a visit. But, before you book, be aware that the pictures had been taken with a special camera. The rooms are not as big as they seem to be. Some walls seem to be round but, in reality they are straight. We booked after visiting their website and were slightly dissapointed by the size of the apartment. If you keep that in mind and don't expect a 1,200 sqft suite: just book.
This is definitely a great place to be. Proven by a lot of frequenters.
Connie and Axel, if you read this: Just go on with the great job you're doing here! In case we visit Florida again, we will certainly stay at your place again.

Spent four lovely days at Manatee Bay Inn, the rooms were great and Axel took the time to show us around and even took us on a tour of our room and the grounds. We had apartment 6 which overlooked the pool and lagoon, it was so relaxing, we were in walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Valerie was such a help with directions and different places to go while we were there. We have already talked about going back as soon as we can. If you get the chance check out the Inn you won't be disappointed

We only spent one night here as we were on a whistle-stop tour but so wish we could have had more nights. Probably only around 100 - 200 Mtrs from the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants but this is surprisingly one quiet and peaceful haven. The rooms are to a very clean standard and the staff are very welcoming. The pool areas to the rear are secluded and quiet, the beds are incredibly comfy and the breakfast room is as good as you get anywhere with plenty of food on offer. I would give this place 10/10 because I loved it.

We have been to Manatee Bay Inn several times, and it is always an excellent stay.
The six apartments are spotless and include full kitchen. Our favorite is No 2 with a screened patio next to one of the pools.
They serve a very nice breakfast; fresh fruit, bagels, toast, eggs, various types of jam, butter, spread cheese, peanut butter, cheese, ham, tea, coffee, milk, juice and cookies.
There are two clean pools just outside the patios and two docks with sunbeds with views over the bay where there is a good chance to spot manatees. One of the most relaxing environments we know and yet within short walking distance to bars, restaurants and the beach.
The owners Alex and Connie are just super friendly and happy to help if you want some tips about what’s going on in Fort Myers Beach.
We always recommend our friends to stay at Manatee Bay Inn when they are in western Florida.

The hosts, Alex and Connie are extremely welcoming and helpful and the good standard of rooms in such a stunning setting make this a quiet and relaxing place to spend some time in the Florida sun. I really can’t give this place higher praise.

we just got back and it is 35 minutes to the Southwest International airport with no traffic. From the airport to the inn it took 55 minutes because of the beach traffic going over the bridge. There is always traffic on the bridge and the time between the airport and the inn just depends on how much traffic is at that time. Traffic varies depending on the time of day and the weather.
