We stayed for one night and we were in a "waterfall" view room. The view was mostly of the side of the partially working waterfall. The room was small but functional with a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom had a nasty old fan on the wall that looked like a hazard.

Wonderful place to stay in Ft. Myers! This was our third summer staying here with our daughter. Great tiki bar with music food and drinks. Walking distance to the beach and shops. Couldn’t ask for a better family vacation! Can’t wait to go back!

This was a real last minute trip. We had been to north Florida for a family reunion. On the way to take him home I decided on night on the beach would be cool. Called a friend and he suggested this place. We had such a good time we stayed an extra day Everyone there was super

Response from LighthouseMgr, General Manager at The Lighthouse Resort Inn and Suites

I appreciate your review, and we thank you for staying with our hotel. You are right, we have been battling a fight against drywood termites in some of our rooms this year, and we are very sorry you had to experience them. Unfortunately for us, the only way to battle them is to address them as they show themselves, which is not on any schedule, they come out randomly over the course of a month or so. This means we have to react instead of attacking the issue ahead of time. You mentioned a couple other things I would like to correct however. Our office is open from 7a to 11p daily, we do not close at 7pm. I checked our maintenance logs as well, and there were no other reports of no hot water in the building you were in, if there was an issue, I know many rooms would have reported the problem. Under the circumstances, you may not have been patient enough for the hot water to get to your suite, which is totally understandable! Also when you checked out on the morning of 17th, you were dealing with the Front Desk Manager, who is the manager on duty that day.

Our stay was going pretty well until the last day, when the "quiet pool" was disturbed by a large amount of non-guests and their obnoxious, poorly behaved children. The parents seemed to be regular visitors of the Tiki Bar and brought their kids to play in the pool, while they
