We bought a place in here and it was nice. The grounds are well kept, and they finely got the maintenance guy under control. Just when things were going well, we had, and older RV rent the space next to us for the season. They are so loud, rude and annoying. They act like we are in a campground not an RV resort. It is constant TV, cell phone on speaker, stereo and their voice volume goes right thru our covered windows. The management is working with us, but we can hear them over our TV. It is very stressful not being able to go home and relax. So please wherever you rent, or buy be respectful to your neighbors

Stayed two months in one of their 2-bedroom cottage, very nice and spacious, quite new, very clean, fully set up. Off-season great to stay for very reasonable rates, and not many people around fortunately, because resort is huge. Cottage very close to the main road to Sanibel Island, therefore quite noisy, also during night. Overall stay was ok for our purpose.

We stayed in this great park near # 743 Campo at Siesta Bay 55+ and advertised as a dog free resort. Well that’s not quite true. We heard dogs barking during the day and even saw dogs being walked about by their owners. And also a young family with 5 over active children throwing around a football on Campo and bouncing football off the next door neighbours
truck. There is no one in that family 55+ !
Where is the camp warden?
Sorry but this park resort is turning into a Funny Farm.

This place unfortunately was wiped out by Hurricane Ian and the corporation that owns it is now unresponsive and untrustworthy about their real plans for the site. Beware of not only the corporation but any individual owner tenants renting out places that may be suspect rehabs. Allegedly won't be open until at least January 2024 anyway. Changing its name to Sun Residences and Resort Sanibel Gateway, so proceed with caution.

Hi LocalEater612, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate everyone's patience during the rebuilding process. We are replacing all pedestals, putting in new fiber, and preparing the resort for opening (estimated timeline is January 2024). Our residents receive regular email updates and are invited to Town Hall meetings with our upper management team. We also have a resource page for residents with lots of important information and frequently asked questions. Be sure to contact our office to get access to this helpful resource. The upcoming name change is part of Sun's larger rebranding process and unrelated to the hurricane or reconstruction. As a Sun Resorts and Residences property, we primarily serve permanent and long-term residents. This helps to differentiate our community from primarily short-term or seasonal resorts. You can learn more about these distinctions in the Our Brands section of Sun's website. We understand that the physical and emotional destruction of the hurricane will take years to work through, and we are here to help rebuild a healthy, comfortable, and beautiful community in both regards. Please feel free to contact us directly with any questions or concerns you may have.

I loved being here as a guest but my life has been a nightmare since purchasing here. It is a fact that the Maintenance Manager is married to the Office Manager so any complaints about the conduct of said Maintenance Manager will fall on deaf ears. Same for Indian Creek. Sun Communities in general does not care about the people who pay their wages. Just google Sun Communities and you will see what I mean. Should have done my own due diligence. Hindsight and all that.

We called the resort to let them know we were on our way and when we arrived the office was closed and no documentation was left so we knew which site was ours. We called the emergency number and were told there were available sites and pick one, set up and check with the office in the morning.
After we set up we went in search of the bathroom. We found the bathroom in the middle of the resort. The men's bathroom was locked and the women's bathroom had no toilet paper. In the morning we checked in and when asked about the bathroom we were told that they don't open the bathroom in the summer. RV's use bathrooms! There are very few sites available to RV's and they are bringing in small 2 bedroom prefabs to fill those sites. The men's bathroom at the pool area had one toilet. During the 4th of July weekend this toilet was plugged up and unusable for 3 days. No staff was on site and no one checked the bathroom during this period. Once again, RV's use bathrooms. This resort is not an RV resort and should not advertise as one. It does not care about RV's only over 55's who own or lease the houses on sites. Not a place I would ever recommend or go back to.

My parents wintered here from the parks earliest days. My wife and I have owned a unit here at Siesta Bay for about ten years. The proximity to Sanibel/Captiva is a big plus. Sunsets at Bunche Beach (merely 1.5 miles from our front door) are among the best I have seen. Two nice pools and hot tub. Lots of activities. Continuous efforts by management to maintain and update facilities. Restrooms/showers (there are three locations) are very nice and clean. Friendly/helpful staff.

My Dad stayed here for 5 months (because of its proximity to doctors in town)and loved it. It's new, clean, spacious, and it's 10 minutes from the Ft. Myers Beach (Check out beach #20 if you want a quiet one). It's in a safe area and we used amenities like the pool, library, etc. I highly recommend it as an affordable option in Ft. Myers. They have everything you need in the kitchen to make home cooked meals too, which was nice. Also, the photos they provide are exactly what the place looks like - not like some hotels that have super nice photos but don't measure up.

There is a sidewalk that can take you all the way to the beach (though it'd be a long ride) just as an FYI for travelers with bikes. It's also within 2 minutes of a grocery store and very close to outlet malls as well. The staff was super friendly and was able to respond to any request we had (cable, etc) in a timely fashion.

We are returning from an 8 day stay in this park. Very few RV spots. Very tight. We had to leave 2 days early for a funeral. Asked if they could put an RV part we were expecting from UPS in a postage paid box we provided (including packing tape to seal it). Just hand it to the postman! They were obviously agitated and refused saying the UPS driver would leave it on our RV site. Impossible because he didn't have our site. Pick some place friendlier to RVers.
