Absolutely beautiful hotel gorgeous views. Spent the afternoon around the pool before enjoying evening meal outside in the bar watching the dolphins playing in the sea right in front of us. Rooms really nice got upgraded to an ocean view room on 5 th floor which was amazing

***pics included*** Outstanding experience! My first impression of this location is that they will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The entire staff has pride in how they represent themselves. Cleanliness: The entire hotel is very clean and smells absolutely fresh. The room is one of the most clean, well kept rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The pool area well maintained with staff that are fast to serve and retrieve dishes and cups. It also has beautiful scenery. Service: Valet- I arrived late and the valet and management cared more about getting me to my room than charging me for valet. I even had an issue with my rental that Dave from valet did everything he could to help with the car company so that I would have to. Pool bar- Chasity was one of the best bar tenders I’ve ever had (make sure you mention her golden retriever Mack if you’re a dog lover!). Esther also makes sure that food orders are prompt and correct. Summary: I have absolutely no complaints, or suggestions for improvements with this stay. This was a solo trip for me and I recommend this to anyone for a quick get away or family trip.

We stayed at this perfectly nice hotel for two nights starting 3/12/23 and had a lovely time. I’m not sure what’s with some of the negative reviews. We had no issues with mold or anything similar, our room was very clean. There are one or two signs of aging but nothing that bothered me and I’m a picky person. The staff here is wonderful, friendly and helpful, we don’t have one negative experience to report. Our bathroom had been renovated, the beds were fine and the comforters yummy. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and catching the ocean breezes. The best part is the pool area, the pool is large and clean, it was just a tad chilly while we were there but that didn’t seem to bother all the kids. There is also a wonderful hot tub. Here are some things you need to know: -Stay in the Sanibel Tower if you can, that is the tower that has front desk and the pool area. The Captiva Tower is a bit of a hike to all this and the pool there is closed. -There is valet parking but if you want to avoid that you can self-park, go down a level in the parking garage and don’t park in the valet parking areas. -The wifi is good and easy to access. -There is a nice cafe in the lobby that is open from breakfast until 3 pm. I believe there is a breakfast There is a breakfast buffet from 7-11 am, you can also order off the menu. There is a lovely balcony with tables, so you can eat overlooking the pool/ocean. There is a nice restaurant that serves dinner. -There is a hut by the pool that serves sandwiches and cocktails, I posted the menu in the photos. -The only negative to this hotel is that there is not much beach. At high tide the ocean comes all the way to the hotel, at low tide there is five or six feet of beach. The hotel has put in a very cute little mini beach, it is to the right of the hotel as you face the ocean, you can walk from the pool area to the beach. This would a great place to let your kids play in the sand or get their feet wet in the ocean. See photo. There are no chairs there tho. Bring your own or sit on a towel. -There is a Walmart and Publix just a few mins away, so you can’t get all the things you forgot. HURRICANE INFO: As you may know, this area was hit hard by Hurricane Ian a year and a half ago. It is still working to come back. There are very few signs of damage at the hotel. The hotel lost its nice dock and it is being reconstructed now, there was not a problem with construction noise. You will also notice that all of the landscaping at the hotel is new, that’s because they lost all their vegetation. That project is almost finished. Many restaurants and stores in this area have reopened but check websites to be sure. We drove out to Sanibel and Captiva and the place is slowly getting cleaned up. There was a lot of dead vegetation but not as many houses were destroyed as I thought. Only one hotel on Sanibel has reopened and it was sold out, which is why we stayed at this Marriott. We drove up to Captiva to eat dinner at the Mucky Duck, it has reopened and the food was delicious. We were disappointed the Darling National Wildlife Refuge is still closed, we had hoped to spend a day there. RED TIDE INFO There were no signs of red tide while we were there. I hope this isn’t too much information! If you are considering this area, please don’t be put off. Your tourist dollars will help this beautiful area recover!#fortmyerstrong #sancaptivastrong

The Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort took significant damage following hurricane Ian. Almost all of the vegetation and landscaping around the property was lost. That being said, the hotel is working very hard to get it back into shape and this was evident in all the work going on during my stay. Most of the property is back up and running and the staff are doing an amazing job. The only reason I could not give this hotel five stars was the fact that regardless of the hurricane recovery efforts, the hotel is showing its age and needs a significant remodel to the rooms, hallways and common areas. The staff and service was excellent!

Love everything about this Resort but have to single out the staff. From check-in with Diane, to vehicle/luggage assistance from James, James, Dave and NELSON (!), to Sam and the best filet/service ever at Courtside Restaurant and to Chris for the great poolside conversation and delicious food choices. I know I’ve left out a few but everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The resort is recovering from Ian and the staff did everything possible to provide a great stay.

We had inadvertently left some valuable items in our hotel room. Admittedly, I panicked. I called the hotel and talked to Thomas, who sent the houseman , I believe his name was Angel, to our vacated room. Angel found them!!! To our relief, Thomas called and told us that they would be placed in a safe for us. The next day I called “ays146” who told us what our next steps would be.,

I visited sanibel Harbour for a work conference. From the first member of staff I met at the front door every staff member at the hotel was excellent, there dedication to making sure I felt welcome and that I had everything that I needed was second to none. A special mention must go to Kathy and Cat in Charlie's bar who were excellent. They couldn't be more helpful and paired with their excellent personalities and enthusiasm made the atmosphere amazing. They are both true assets to the company and one of the main reasons I would recommend people visit.

This is the first time I can say I’ve given a resort two stars. I booked prior to reading reviews and made the choice to gain my own experience. Nelson is an absolute gem and was the highlight of our stay. He is a great example of the Marriott Brand Standards and deserves 5 stars. For the two star rating …. Upon checking in, I was not informed that a Continental Breakfast was included to Platinum Elite Members, nor were we offered water. The A/C did not work in one of our rooms. Absolutely no one answered the phones, to report it. The next morning I head to the front desk and ask for a late checkout, Diane immediately says 1PM is the latest available. I work in the hotel Industry and was fully aware of the EXTREMELY LOW occupancy. I then asked, if she could look up my room to see if that’s the latest available. She stands firm that 1pm is the latest she can do. For this property to lack amenities, it was really the minor things that could’ve fixed it. Diane chose not to honor the 4pm checkout that is offered to members, which is not okay. I did not want to have to worry about the kids not being able to shower after a pool day before hitting the road. All in all, we didn’t have a pool day, checked out by 10am and probably would never return to the property.

Dear vintagepassport_, Thank you for being a valued Marriot Bonvoy Platinum Elite member and for your comments. While we are happy to see you liked our associate Nelson, we apologize that some of our team members were not as responsive as they should have been to your needs. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with the appropriate individuals to ensure these are not repeated. We are also sorry for the issues you endured with the air conditioning unit in your room and regret not being able to grant your request for a late checkout. This property is still recovering from the effects of hurricane Ian, but we still had an enjoyable stay. The staff at every point were friendly and customer focused. Valet & bellmen were super helpful, Tom in particular. Sam, our waiter in the Tarpon House provided excellent service. Not familiar with the area or the hotel, we called guest services several times over our two day stay, and Carol was always patient and a good listener to provide dining suggestions, hotel info etc. The business center was not open, but the front desk facilitated getting documents printed and scanned, with great attitudes to assist. Our king room was very clean & comfortable with a great walk in shower & plenty of water pressure. We would definitely stay @ this resort again. It’s a great location but found all of the staff exceptional.
