I had previously stayed at TropiRock when it was privately owned. I was looking forward to another visit and was sorely disappointed. The facility is mostly clean, but showing signs of wear & tear, specifically in the bathroom. And the "mostly clean" comment does not extend to the bedroom floor, which was filthy! No amount of bleach could get my...

This place gets two stars: 1 for the location 2 blocks from the beach, and 1 for the very nice woman, Stephanie, who worked there. However, the beds were not comfortable, the window air unit was very loud. The bathroom was super old. I truly feel that it would not take much for this hotel to improve dramatically with a...

First of all if you are looking for a 5 star place at their price you are looking in the wrong place. Don't get me wrong, staff is friendly, place is clean and it's close to the beach. Pool area was clean, kids playing around and there are some excellent outside areas for sitting with either coffee or an evening...

Staff was very friendly and generally punctual about coming to clean the room and make the bed. One of the double outlets in the room didn't work at all, low water pressure and heavy construction, (not the hotel's fault, and as to be expected in Ft. Lauderdale.) Biggest complaint was the bed. Sheets were like sandpaper, and the bed was...

If you just need a place to lay your head, it's a great place to stay. There is no elevator. You don't have the amenities you have at most hotels, but the hospitality show to us was the best! Angel was with us the entire time, thank goodness. She made us feel very welcome. She explained everything, told us where...

We were stuck here for one night when the Sibi Beach Hotel double booked and put us out our first night. If this “resort” was on a beach in Mexico, it would be awesome. However, since it is not, I found it to be extremely outdated. The beds consisted of a flat mattress on a wood pallet, very uncomfortable. Although...

This is my first time staying at the hotel and I am very impressed with my stay. The check in process was seamless and very well explained. The restaurant recommendations were fantastic and I was able to print boarding passes from the front desk. The lady at the desk was so friendly and helpful, she brought up more towels when...

The people at the desk are friendly and helpful. They upgraded us to a ground-floor unit because I was on crutches. The sheets and towels are clean. So if you want a truly no-frills hotel near Fort Lauderdale's famous beach, this is a good choice. However, the floors are not clean. I needed to iron something and was given an...

This is a old hotel not a resort! The pool was filthy and their info was incorrect when calling about parking. They did not have a gym as stated but a few machines thrown around. The furniture was old and place was very outdated. The hotel wanted to charge you for everything. They sold wipes but they were dry. Just...
