Booked vacation with family 2 weeks ago for end of July, to find out today that the hotel will be under construction. One of the pools will not be available and spa and fitness center closed. Also main entrance will be closed for construction. Hotel could care less when I called. All they said they can do is cancel my reservation if I am not happy. So pay all this money and not have amenities and I am told I should just deal with it or cancel. They knew construction was going to happen months ago, but have the nerve to tell me they are giving me 30 days notice. What a disgrace. Management terribly unprofessional and incapable of dealing with situation. Buyer beware when you book this hotel. I always stay and marriott brands and I have never experienced such ignorance.

Marvensky and Nuno were excellent on the beach with the service. Recommend really good drinks, and provided us with some suggestions for dinner outside of the resort. They checked in on us often to make sure we had everything we needed! Overall it was a very relaxing day!

Rolph, Marvensky are the best wait service on the beach. They are friendly and attentive. The air didn't work properly in our room. They came and changed the filter but it still didn't get as cold as it should. Then the air went out on our last night. Other than that it is a great resort for a beach vacation. The cabanas to rent are great and so are the chairs and umbrellas. The front desk staff is friendly and accommodating.

First off the location is beautiful. Right directly on the beach. Wake up put your sunscreen/swimsuit on, pack your beach bag. Grab a coffee and snack at their Starbucks downstairs and go straight to the beach. The pool area is gorgeous and feel so tropical with all of the tropical music they play. That's always my favorite part. It was amazing and felt so tropical when you wake up everyday and go downstairs to the lobby and see the steel drums playing. Absolutely gorgeous. The room was nice. It could have been decorated a little better. The bathrooms were nice. We ended up with a room that had a bathtub and it was either stained or just not cleaned well. But me being a clean freak guy that I could have made that bathtub shine. Half the time I think they just don't want to spend the time on making it really clean and they are in a hurry so they do a half job. The shower curtain was disgusting. It was a white shower curtain and had pink and black mildew on the bottom of it. I called the front desk and asked them to bring me another one and they said they didn't have another one. I'm not sure why a billion dollar company wouldn't have another shower curtain but okay... The beds were comfortable but incredibly small. They were a full size bed and we are normal size people both under 170 lb and the bed was just way too small for us. The pillows were horrible and very flat. We could not get comfortable in the beds at all. If you eat at the hotel, obviously, it's pricey because you are at the resort so things are expensive. Expected... We left the resort every day to go get food in the evening but ate at the resort in the afternoons. If you do go out into town to get food just be mindful of the area, there are a lot of homeless people around that look like they are intoxicated or on drugs. My kids were literally scared every time we left the resort... Overall it's a beautiful resort and the location is perfect. They have stuff on the beach that sets you up everyday with beach chairs and towels but if you don't have an umbrella reserved then you have to stay behind everybody that has an umbrella. Kind of a scam if you ask me. But after mentioning something about it to the front desk they gave me some free umbrella vouchers. At 5:00 they shut everything down and start to put all the chairs and umbrellas away but I didn't think it was fair to pay $400 a night for a room and not be able to use their chairs. Especially on the days we were not able to make it out into the beach until later which is the whole reason why we booked the vacation at that location anyway. But if you just ask for the manager they'll let you keep the chair. Kind of stupid that you have to ask for a manager to get to keep the chair but... During this time of year there is a lot of seagrass in the ocean and it kept us out of the ocean for the last 3 days that we were there. Obviously you can't blame the resort for the seagrass in the ocean but it gathers up on the sand at the shore and I'm not sure why they don't have a tractor that can come and remove that out of the way. Seems like that could be a pretty easy thing to do to make the beach pretty. There is a resort fee for this resort but we booked through Costco so the resort fee was included in our total but be aware that parking is not included in the resort fee. So there is a separate parking fee everyday of $48. This is our second year of looking at this resort but we will probably be looking at other locations in the future. This was our second year in a row looking at this location. Probably not going to be returning here
