I'd like to start off by saying that this is probably the best Marriott hotel in the Ft. Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area. The resort is situated right on the intercoastal waterway, and is accessible to all kinds of restaurants and night-life! The front desk staff, including Kim, Denee' and Stacy are all courteous and friendly personnel! Kim handled our check-in on 06/11/22 and made the process exceptionally smooth. Thank you Kim for a wonderful interaction!
This Residence Inn is so beautiful. The fragrance of the hotel is so wonderful. Check in with Tejeunte was so smooth. Kim was also the best. Both are a true asset to the hotel & so knowledgeable about Fort Lauderdale everything. Rooms are huge, we reserved a 1 bedroom Oceanview. Very modern, clean & overall very well kept. Loved the 1 blade ceiling fans in living area & bedroom. Beds & pull out sofa had the ultimate comfy mattresses & bedding. Kitchen was so nice with full fridge, stovetop, dishwasher & the best stackable washer & dryer in a closet. The balcony was huge with a table & 4 chairs & 2 Sun loungers. The hotel sits on the beautiful Intercoastal with views of beautiful homes, yachts & many other watercraft. Breakfast was so nice with outdoor tables & waterview. The breakfast was excellent every morning. Hot options, breads, 2 types of fresh fruits, yoghurt, many cereals & oatmeal, coffee, hot tea, juices & milk. Everyone was pleased with the variety of the choices. Pool & hot tub were really nice. Huge sunbed cabana loungers, tables & chairs. All with a great view. Beach was about 2 blocks & hotel will loan you towels, chairs, mats & chairs. We loved the beach. This hotel has so many restaurants within walking distance & also a few bars. Walgreens very near for snacks & drinks. There is also a outdoor grill by the pool. This area offers golf cart shuttles & Uber. Golf cart shuttles are by tips. There is also a free shuttle you can ride to get groceries or go to the pier. This hotel is a must stay & so great to have kitchen with kids. I would definitely stay again.…
I tried to cancel my booking with the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal/Il Lugano hotel due to certain circumstances, but the customer service representative still charged me for one night even if I didn't stay there in the end. They even send me an invoice of me checking in and out when i never even checked in. I called them before my stay to notify them that i cannot make it but was still charged.
Wow. I am in love with this property! The lobby is inviting and smells lovely! The valet welcomed me in. He was so nice. And Mark was the front desk agent that checked me in. Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. My room was spacious, clean, and the view was breathtaking! The breakfast buffet was fresh and lots of options. I saw hand sanitizers all around. The whole hotel was clean and safe. I ordered a meal from the Oria which consists of sandwich and salad. The bartender and chef were so nice too. There were NO critters in the bed. And I love the key access to the room. I was very pleased and I will be back!!
Hotel was booked with my Bonvoy Titanium Elite Credit Card. Due to a Marriott data breach in Knoxville Marriott. The credit card was cancelled and a new one was Issued. Residence Inn Ft Lauderdale/Lugano sent me a cancellation notice for my upcoming stay, I called the GM to clear things up and never received a call back. Upon arrival, a sign was posted that pool will be closed on 2/27. No warning of this when I rebooked. Not great when you planned on hanging around the pool all day. My 2nd day of stay, I asked about maid service and was told it is available upon request only. This is fine but maybe they should let us know when we check in. Appears person running this hotel has communications issues with everyone and it filters all the way down.
The hotel is not the easiest to find but once you do, it will draw you back. Once you find your way to the entrance, valet is instant on meeting you, as they did anytime I pulled back up. Cris at the front desk greeted me with a smile and friendly conversation. Check in was a simple process and well explained by Cris. The room and view are outstanding. They serve a wonderful breakfast, get down early. Cris checked on me throughout my stay as I returned. The view is beautiful, and th staff make it evn better!!!
I booked a $500.00 king suite with balcony overlooking the water for the Ft Lauderdale annual Winterfest Boat show ONE YEAR ago. Upon arrival I was given a double queen overlooking the parking lot with no explanation and not even warned about the change. The clerk literally just handed me the room keys and never mentioned a word. I went back to the lobby to inform them of the mistake and was told that my room was no longer available. I’m sure they gave it to someone who paid a much higher price as these rooms cost a fortune due to demand for the boat parade. The options they provided were to watch the parade from their hotel conference room (NO) or provide tickets to the show which is off the property to sit among thousands of people (NO). I had my family from out of town and we had this planned for a year. The entire point was to watch the show from the hotel balcony. We had no other options so we cancelled and started the long drive home. The entire evening was ruined because they had NO rooms with water view left even though I had a confirmed booking. (The clerk actually told me that they over booked 10 rooms) About an hour into the drive home the hotel called me to say they had a cancellation and would we like to return to the property!!! This means that there WAS a room available when I was trying to check in and they were just holding it to see how much more $$$ they could make. Driving back to the hotel at that point was out of the question and the knowledge that there was in fact a room all along that they were holding out on just added salt to the wound. I will NEVER stay at this property or any other Marriott ever again. This is why I am a Hilton Diamond member-I would never have had this problem with Hilton. This was a total nightmare and what was supposed to be a great family event was ruined because of greed and horrible customer service.…
This hotel was such of a surprise! I did not expect it to be so marvelous. I stayed one night only because family was in town and I live an hour away, I loved it so much that I came back the very next weekend to celebrate my anniversary. My husband and I normally stay on Fort Lauderdale Beach, not the inter-coastal, so it was a surprise for me to love it so much. The room is set up condo style with a wrap around deck. The kitchen is the perfect size to warm up things, and there’s two great rooms with a jack and Jill bathroom. Very cute desk, I was able to do a little work before we went out. The view, stills the whole show! The view is beautiful but quiet & relaxing. I sat out there all day and night. I would love to buy one of these as a second home. But I hear obtaining a hotel condo mortgage is a nightmare. So for now ..I’ll be back as a renter!…
Our King Studio room was spotless and roomy. The bed was so comfortable, and we loved the bedding. The kitchen had everything we needed. The breakfast was perfect with lots of choices for my special diet. Also check in was fast, and I must mention our amazing housekeeper. She was thorough and sweet when we got to talk to her. Our balcony had views of the intracoastal, and we spent countless hours watching the parade of boats. It is a short walk to the beach and the hotel provided beach chairs, an umbrella, and nice towels. The pool and hot tub were nice too but the outside deck and view was priceless. We will be back!
My wife and I have been coming to hotel for the past 12 years. We love the rooms and the location. The staff members are awesome and always make you feel special. Cris and Stacy are amazing members of the team. Ryan and Marco are also in valet
