Outstanding price/quality. It is very clean, rooms are lowkey but you have everything you need. Check the foodtruck down the corner. The hostess helped us with finding and reservate cool trips! Thanks.

Stayed there from March 24th until March 29th, 2018. Great one bedroom suites clean with fully equipped kitchen. Close to beach, everything within walking distance. Quiet, clean pool with sun all day. Was windy some days when we were there but never at pool. Staff in office are awesome and very helpful whether it be printing boarding passes, ordering taxi's etc. Having full kitchen allowed us to buy groceries, cook breakfast and keep cold drinks. Highly recommend!!

Summerland Suites and the connected properties offer the combination of location, convenience, cleanliness and value that make it just right. It’s two short blocks to the beach with plenty of parking. I actually prefer it to the hotels on a1a at any price. The owners are always accommodating and have plenty of tips on dining and area activities. We’ve been visiting for 10 years and will continue. Thank you Angela !!

In Fort Lauderdale, if you want to stay close to the boardwalk and water taxi area, it's either pricey high rises or older mom and pop condos. Summerland Suites is a perfect example of a convenient place to stay, fix some of your own food, do laundry (clotheslines and clothespins available, walk to the beach and simply walk for blocks and blocks--maybe even miles and miles. Furnishings are definitely older, as are appliances, but everything is perfectly clean and adequate at half the cost of a hotel room and without resort fees. Just put your expectations back to the 1960's and enjoy the stay.

I wanted a good-sized suite/apartment, in a good location, with outside space that was ideal for a long stay holiday in Fort Lauderdale at a price that wasn't going to break the bank. Summerland was the perfect solution to my search and I stayed there for just over 80 nights. The suite I stayed at was on the first floor, in the building that faced Orton Avenue and the intercoastal waterway. I loved the kitchen area, which was surprisingly big and equipped with everything you need on a short or indeed a long stay holiday. Everything was clean and whilst it wasn't brand new it all worked. Nice big round table for four provided a fine place to eat a long leisurely breakfast or lunch. The room has a had two big beds, comfy easy chairs and another table, plus a great big credenza that hid the massive TV. I can't fault the room itself, it was nice and clean, comfortable and had all I needed. There was also a lovely big closet that had plenty of space - even for everything I bought during my long-stay. Housekeeping was perfect, even during the long-stay, attentive and friendly and I couldn't find a single fault with the service or standards. The fact that Summerland is partnered with owned by the same people as the three other buildings in this area means there are plenty of outside spaces in which to relax and enjoy the weather. Plenty of seating areas, barbeque area, pool and greenery. If you want to be social you can mingle with other guests in some areas, equally, there are other areas where you can enjoy peace and quiet on your own. There is a coin-operated laundry area here as well which is super handy for a longer stay here and is reasonable. They also have a number of inflatable and beach toys you can borrow and use on the beach, which is about a 5-minute walk from the front of this small complex. You are perfectly situated in the central beach area, which is peaceful and easy going, yet just a short stroll away from Fort Lauderdale's main beach areas. If you don't want to drive during your break, I recommend getting a bicycle to get around, you can hire them close to the Galleria shopping mall - which is within easy walking distance. However, if you plan on using the bike for more than a week, it would be cheaper to buy one for your own use - I got one from one of the local stores for $80. Cycling around Fort Lauderdale is easy - it's nice and flat and rather pleasant. Plenty of cycle lanes that make it easy to get around and virtually hassle-free. I really enjoyed my stay here and couldn't have wanted better for such a long stay, the prices were also very reasonable and represented great value for money.
