Where do I Start? Checked in New Years day. As we pulled up I was shocked to see such congestion at the entrance several people waiting for cars no social distancing no masks. I was approached by the valet who leaned into my car as I rolled down the window ask asked if I was checking in. No option to self park during a pandemic. I saw Valets jumping in and out of cars without any sort of effort to sanitize cars. Next we checked in the bellman walked in to the small elevator with us. I was so stunned I didn't believe it; the door closed so it was too late to tell him to leave. The room was nice sized and we got a handicapped room. The room was old and tired with a balcony. Seemed it was 1990s decor. I have been Bonvoy member for years and would like to have been told at check in that the room was going to be a handicapped room. The room was clean but the bathroom was semi-clean. The Shower Curtin had mold on the bottom and hair and dust in the corners.. Next day we went to the pool, Jan 2, 2021. It was a nice sunny day. Again no social distancing, the pool chairs were not at all distanced. The Pool bar was packed with people no social distancing again. We left and went to the beach instead. What is it going to take that the Ritz is putting profits over the health and safety of its guests and employees.…
Ritziest Ritz in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. The rooms are by far the largest and cleanest. Spa is also top notch. The only downside is that the pool is a little on the small side and a little crowded. The service is top notch. Also by far the best of the properties in the area. The staff were friendly and accommodating all around from the valet to the check-in to the pool. It was New Years weekend and they were at capacity but even then they apologized for any delays in service and offered to “make it right.” They met and exceeded the expectations one has when staying at a Ritz Carlton property and it’s no wonder this is also the busiest property in the area as it is the best run. Another big plus is the food. Unlike the Bal Harbor property where the breakfast looked reheated and dried around the edges this property has a fully functioning restaurant on site so the room service is indeed restaurant quality. Highly recommend the tempura fish sandwich, octopus, grilled chicken, and breakfast juices and items. Even the kid devoured the breakfast which is not always the case. Definitely will be returning to this one.…
To be honest this place should be very clean but it’s not. Both rooms dirty. One of them has nails on the floor and food. The other one had food on the couch. Not going back. Called the manager and left him a message to call me back. Never did. I then switched hotels for the rest of the stay. I would assume during COVID that this hotel would take cleaning as a priority.
My husband and I stayed in the Ritz Carlton for my birthday getaway. The hotel is beautiful and the location couldn’t have been any better. Service from everyone was great but one man stood out exceptionally. We bumped into Ruben while we spent a day in the beach. He was soo nice and accommodating. He attends to everyone equally and makes sure all needs are met without even needing to ask. Towels, water, chairs etc. Humble man with great conversation, he gave a five star service that stayed with my husband and I. We were very happy to have been able to be accommodated by someone who is that caring. Five stars for service!
Ruben is the best, he is always out here when we visit and is attentive with the kids. What is crazy he always remembers us which is a great touch. Finds best location for our family. Fixes the umbrella and chair to our liking. He is located across the street from Ritz-Carlton. He wears blue and always the guy smiling. .
