The staff at the Royal Palm South Beach WearLuv Mazie. The beach stuff was super friendly and very accommodating and made our experience here wonderful. The Royal Palms beach stuff is the best you could ask for. The umbrellas are a great size the chairs are very comfortable and the location is great.

Location was good. The rest of the stay was horrible. If I wasn't there on business I would have left on the 1st night. The hotel allowed "spring breakers" to run rampant all over the hotel. Breaking chairs, ripping doors off rooms, trash everywhere, beating on other guests doors and windows. Hotel security was doing nothing about the behavior but partying with them. When management was contacted about the issue they did nothing but make excuses and said other guests would just have to put up with it. They even did not want the police called. Upon checking out the MOD made a religious slur to me as well.

Great location otherwise would rate worse. Poor service. Billing issue unresolved. No curtains on some of the windows in our room. Nobody there in evening. There was a loud pool party that went til 2am. If you want to sleep go somewhere else.

We had to switch rooms for a couple extra nights which was fine..but don’t expect us to figure out where the room is by ourselves..this place is a maze. Put a note on the door saying they will be back In 5 minutes. It’s the right thing to do..I can’t take the laziness. I was also told I would get a phone call letting me know the room was ready and didn’t get that either. Not sure if I will be back..there are other places with better customer service around here I’m sure..

Hotel is quite good. Nice pool ( actually 3 pools) The room was big , the bed was comfortable . Close to the beach and restaurants. The price was reasonable so I ve got this hotel 4 stars. The bar at the hotel was open from thursday to sunday and it offered drinks, wines and some food, ( Potatas brava was good)

We wanted the get out of Atlanta and into the sun to reset and recharge after Christmas. Airfares to Fort Lauderdale were good - but no interest in spending $600 a night in one of the faux posh beachfront behemoths so started looking around abs found this. Location is perfect - easy walking access to beach and restaurants . Hotel complex is quirky and interesting. Rooms clean. Other patrons interesting for people watching. With three pools, always easy to find one that suited our mood. We’re two gay guys - but not terribly interested in getting segregated amongst “our own kind” or looking for gay friendly. More interested in gay indifferent. So this place really checked off every box for us. I’m having a great drink by the pool at sunset as I write this and am sad to have to leave this amusing and charming spot tomorrow after four really wonderful days here. Will definitely come back.

We stayed for ONE night and had absolutely NO POWER. This is unacceptable. You literally get what you pay for with this place. I've never stayed in a hotel where the power went out for no apparent reason and everywhere around still had power??? Please do not book this hotel if you're looking for a pleasant experience, you will be extremely underwhelmed. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone period.

Second time staying here this year. First was in February. The service was not good, very difficult to reach employees but for the location and price, we figured it would be ok for another stay. This brings us to March. No one ever answered the phone when I was trying to book and they also never returned calls. I finally booked on line. We called ahead, about 15 minutes prior to arrival and they said someone would be in office, we arrived and there was no one there. Rang the doorbell and 20 minutes later someone showed up. Though this was a business trip, they knew there would be 4 occupants including my twin 2 year old daughters. I clarified and said we needed extra bedding for the pullout couch. They said it was in the room. There was no bedding in the room. I called three times, and then went to ring the bell at the office again. They said they would send someone up with bedding and we have yet to receive it ( 24 hours later). Today we woke up to no running water. The said they were doing construction, which is fine, but this is something guests need to be notified of. Will not be staying here again or referring it

Up front, I want to disclose that I do not make a habit of bad-mouthing businesses. I've had good experiences and not-so-good experiences. Honestly, this is the first time I've used a social media platform to complain about a bad one. However, it truly was that atrocious! I've been here before, at least a couple times. It was "good enough', certainly far from amazing but a great location to Fort Lauderdale's restaurants, bars, and beach. This latest stay (January 2021) was an absolutely horrible experience!! My complaint list would be far too long to list everything that was wrong with this stay. The lobby, the rooms.. they were filthy and this during covid! The maids never came to replace the towels or clean the room. There was not a working ice machine. The only thing that came out of the one ice machine we could find was literally dirt, and I'm not kidding! When I called to complain, I was told by the person on the phone that they would send a member of the "engineering team" to fix it; it was both annoying and laughable at the same time. If this "resort" is having major issues due to covid, then shut the place down!!! Do not screw over patrons and still take reservations for a place that very obviously is not even being taken care of in any way shape or form. Oh, and at check-in they gave us a $10 up charge per night for "services", of which there were none. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

A clean simple hotel just a block from the beach. Some of the other reviews here have been tough but we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was pretty quiet due to COVID, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again.
