A clean simple hotel just a block from the beach. Some of the other reviews here have been tough but we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was pretty quiet due to COVID, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again.
Stayed here to be away from spring breakers downtown.we checked out after two nights of no sleep.college kids yelling and banging on doors all hours, and language was terrible. Not a place for young children. On the other side, the resort was nice and the office help outstanding. My advice would be not to stay from end of Feb thru March.Resort should not let 8 people share one room, and maybe keep couples together in one building.
The room seemed okay at first, but suspect it was not cleaned properly. There was a foot print on my comforter and we noticed long black hair all over the shower floor before getting in. A cheaper option in a great location, but not worth the gross feeling I had using the dirty bathroom
Clearly the Royal Palms is a good hotel in a great location and, honestly, I’d stay here again... especially for the price. But it wouldn’t take much for this good hotel to become a great hotel. The hotel is located just a block from the beach. My check-in was done well, and the staff member was friendly and professional. Walking through the pool area to get to my room, it was clear this pretty space needed to be “picked up,” as there was a lot of junk (towels, plastic glasses, misc papers) lying around. My room was well decorated and clean, with a very comfortable bed. But... the door’s deadbolt wouldn’t work. Actually, part of the door jam’s metal plate was in the way (clearly it had been replaced with the wrong size plate). Also, the back gate to the property wasn’t locked. While it was convenient for loading and unloading my car... it didn’t build confidence. The TV was particularly disappointing as they have a ROKU system... that uses Pluto. So zero live tv. My room was cleaned daily, but sometimes they left soap, sometimes not. They never replaced the cups on the sink in the bar pot on the coffee maker. Speaking of coffee... There wasn’t any available at the hotel in the AM. While there was a machine in my room... without cups... it wasn’t useful. This is a very cool hotel... with a cool staff. With a little more organization it could become a really great place to stay. …
Stayed at the Royal Palms Resort and had a great time. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Jose at the front desk who went out of his way to make our stay memorable. The resort is close to the beach and within walking distance to all the shops. Rooms were clean and spacious. Will definitely be coming back for a visit!
