We booked the Tranquilo looking for a cheaper hotel, within walking distance to Fort Lauderdale beach without being expensive. This hotel is amazing! Its very simple and basic, but very clean. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. The pool and lounge chairs are clean. The rooms were large nothing fancy but again clean and the beds sooo...

Looks nicer on the pics than it actually is. Always damp atmosphere, and the cleaners left something to be desired! Room not cleaned until late afternoon and not to a good standard. Pool was dirty. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it either!

We stayed at the Tranquillo early March among the college age spring breakers. We are in our 60s and they amazingly put us in a quiet room. The spring breakers did not bother us at all. The room is quite large with a tile floor, kitchen and good sized bathroom. The room was very comfortable and about a 5 minute...

This was our 3rd year in a row. Unfortunately it will be our last. The care and maintenance is not how it was previously. Maybe the group who run this place has lost interest now that they are successful. Little things were missing, like a chest of drawers for those staying more than one or two nights. And no one...

Room was clean, didn't look like the pictures but it was alright. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it's close to the beach but not so close that you hear the traffic and partying. Bed was super comfy (if you like soft beds). The bad part was they charge you a self parking fee (to park in there parking) but they...

We stayed 2 days prior to our cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. Nice location for us and the hotel was fine. Reminiscent of a motel but nicer. We had the room above the office and we had 2 queens and a separate room with another queen. Worked out great. Basic bath, solid kitchen if needed. Linoleum floors could have used...

Most things about Tranquilo are very good or excellent. The location is great, staff wonderful, very clean, pools are great, grills are handy. This time our bed was way too soft. Too soft for a good night's sleep. Our room was very nice but starting to show some wear. Also, nowhere to put thing while in the shower. Would still...

Our family (2 kids - 2 adults) booked one night during spring break in early march. Our room was ready when we arrived and it was nice and clean. The floor could have used a better vacuuming but I am nitpicking. The Tranquilo is near the beach (10-minute walk) and you can walk to the Galleria shopping mall in about...

The rooms are tile floors, at least the one I was in. The bathroom had black mold overhead in the shower. The tub had no fixture to hold water. Very dated facility. Two blocks from a very nice less busy beach. Cleaning staff was very attentive. Front desk staff during the day were slow. I was there during the spring...
