But this time we had to request staff help to move dining tables from waterside to make room for our lounges (which we were told had to be vacated by 3 p.m.) Although a $10 tip was involved each day, we managed to live with that... It was small but had everything we needed, quiet upstairs, very clean, enough room for our suitcases, and even a view of the ocean a couple of blocks away... And only 2 blocks from the beach at Sebastian street... The parking right along the side of the hotel is very convenient... Property: Upscale and intimate, the pool is well kept and warmly heated (and open 24 hours which is a huge plus!)... Nice sitting areas around the pool and down by the dock... For such a small boutique hotel, this place is really full service... Breakfast and lunch are available on demand as well as drinks by the pool, and you can choose to have food brought to your room, to the pool area, or eat down on the dock... We really enjoyed having breakfasts down on the dock... We had dinner at the Secret Garden restaurant one night of our stay, and what a great experience... Excellent service, delicious food, and a beautiful setting right on the dock...

Misleading website (now corrected) so we booked the Pillars for the amenities of the main building but ended up down the road in what felt like an AirBnB with busy and noisy roads on each side...

...The front desk staff was so kind and always available to assist with any needs. Dinner was exquisite with amazing service from bow tie wearing servers... My girls especially loved the deep pool to float in with the intercoastal waters in the background... Small details throughout make this so much more than a hotel... The modern art to the lovely smell when you walk through the front door is all part of the charm of this boutique hotel...

...As oasis in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale. From the beautiful rooms, the excellent dining, the beautiful garden setting for meals by the water warms by lamps at dusk, the Frette linen sheets and bath towels &the plushes towels at the pool TO the incredible hospitality by the staff with the most amazing Carmen ( Thank you Carmen!)... and Katya at the bar who set the table by our room on the veranda with the view for dinner and drinks and being our butler in the sky...

I just want to say thank you for this amazing stay at the Pillars Hotel. From the first step into the hotel to the last we felt so comfortable and well cared for... The pool is super relaxing with a view on the water front and palm trees... In the morning you get coffee, which I loved after my morning run, and there is always fresh lemon water and ice tea by the pool which is really refreshing... The room was super clean, calm and cozy...

...After searching and searching for a wedding venue... upon walking in - we found it! The setting on the intercoastal, the venue small and intimate, the staff was exceptional, location walking distance to so much... The rooms are well appointed, fresh, bright and clean... We then celebrated around the pool with dining and dancing...

I am happy to report we very much enjoyed our stay at the Pillars Hotel. The hotel is a stones throw from the ocean which was perfect as it took us away from the hustle and bustle of A1A... Better yet the property is located on the intracoastal waterway... We enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside and absolutely loved it...

My first impression of the hotel and our room was mixed. The room was on the main floor by the pool. After our first day i can say the hotel and our experience there was wonderful. Image an old school motel near the beach with attentive staff and a million dollar view of the intercoastal waterway. We ate twice at the the hotel restaurant (and we rarely eat at hotel restaurants). Nice reasonable wine list. You can walk to the beach a block away. Parking is included. Breakfast was severed by the water's edge. This is a low key hotel where you can do only one activity, relax. It is not a Conrad, Marriott, Four Seasons type hotel. Highly recommended for the intrepid traveler. Word of warning, a largo condo is being constructed nearby and construction noise was present during the week. There was no noise on the weekend. So much for Weekday paradise.

Another stellar stay at The Pillars. Was there on business for Ft laud Boat show once again. My favorite place to stay. From check in to departure always the best service I could ask for. Will never stay anywhere else in the 954. Cheers to Carmen, and staff who always make me feel at home. They are passionate about the jobs they all do, and it’s something that I appreciate. I had an amazing stay at this charming hotel September 1-4! The highly personalized service truly stood out, and the view of the waterfront with Fort Lauderdale's stunning homes was a delightful touch. Our dining experience was exceptional, with Yelena's professional and helpful service. The unique wine list featured more European wines than California, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite the warm weather, the outdoor venue was still enjoyable thanks to a refreshing breeze. The complimentary glass of champagne when we sat was a delightful perk. The chef's Moroccan background added a special twist to the Mediterranean menu. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.

We would like to offer the Pillars Hotel our sincere congratulations on the quality of their facilities. We have known the hotel for over ten years and whenever we have the time we always stay there for a few days and enjoy the excellent hospitality. In addition to being a very well located place, the staff always give us a warm and personalised attention that we appreciate very much. Carmen, Guadalupe, Joseph and many other professionals are always there to make our visit perfect. In addition to this, the incomparable breakfasts and dinners on the dock for excellent cuisine and wonderful views, especially at sunset. On this occasion we were also very positively surprised by the renovation of the rooms, with a very modern and cosy decoration. We are already counting the days to book another holiday at The Pillars.

We are sorry you were upset about the critter landing in your table. To be clear the bug landed on a table on our dock right on the Intracoastal Waterway. As our manager on duty tried to explain to you bugs coming off the water happen. Not a lot but it can happen. Since it is outdoors and they come from the water we cannot do much about it. We have the best in pest control for our property but even so we cannot control nature. As far as I know this is the first complaint of this type of occurancec since the restaurant opened over 17 years ago. Nevertheless we understand your discomfort and only wish we could have done something about it and made your experience better. Aleisha Tilus Guest Services Manager

We were coming to Fort Lauderdale for a work conference at another hotel but wanted our first night to be away from "work." Were we glad we chose The Pillars Hotel! The service, location, rooms and property were just perfect. Nick, Lupe, and Laynie were professional and wonderful. I would like to mention we arrived at 6am and they let us check in early! We were able to get some early morning sleep, which really helped us enjoy our day. I highly recommend The Pillars Hotel and look forward to visiting again.

Booked this beautiful aristocratic looking boutique type hotel at a much higher price than the usual Hilton/Marriot/JW/Ritz Carlton etc. It boasted that their Junior suites were beautiful and pictures looked great. When we arrived (we had to look for the hotel as it looked like a house and was smaller than the other surrounding hotels). Upon arrival, we were told we had a choice and that the suite was down the road at a condo type building… weird. We asked to see the other option on site, which was a disappointment and looked like a days inn or less. Old and worn furniture and the layout horrible for $500 a night. The hotel agent clearly saw the frown and disbelief on my face - I had paid for it already through Trip Advisor’s Booking/Expedia (don’t recall exactly which one). Anyway, she offered me a $750 suite as it was vacant. That was beautiful with a view and what we first expected. Buyer beware… my situation turned out well but what if the place was sold out?? Cons; We didn’t eat on site although it looked romantic but understood from staff it was expensive plus, we noted that the servers had to walk several 100 feet past the pool while the food was open to the air. No elevator and not appropriate for disabled people or persons with knee issues. Bathroom was not handicapped accessible. The old carpet smell was not enticing. Pros: lovely boutique antique bed and breakfast if it was advertised like that. Beautiful area near the beach. Loved the area for walking around casually and unique restaurants close by. Finally, staff were very nice and knowledgeable, especially Ally.

We entered The Birch House Hotel, part of The Pillars Hotel through an orchid embellished gate. The exquisite tropical garden, pristine private pool, stately white pillars and tourquise door invited us inside. We arrived at a hotel home with Old Fort Lauderdale charm. Charm has endured in this Birch House oasis that has earned it's place as a star among the surrounding majestic high rise hotels. Days later, the details remain. The warmth of the staff and their eageness to please made a lasting impression. The sophisticated gray and white simlicity of the room decore, the timeless dining room and bar with intimate spaces, dining on the intracoastal waterway dock with more exotic plants exude gracious living. Everything the heart of Ft. Lauderdale has to offer will steal your heart!
