My partner and I are visiting Florida for a wedding, and today was our only chance to relax. We stayed nearby and hopped over to the beach where we enjoyed some gnarly Florida waves, glorious sunshine, and excellent service. Rafael hooked us up with a great spot, and he made sure we were well taken care of. He had great suggestions for us to chill out and seize the day. I highly recommend this spot if you want a relaxing beach day!

Hotel's Favorite
I had made a reservation for ten nights at a “boutique “ hotel in Hollywood but after one disastrous night in that subpar property I contacted the Sonesta to see if they could take me for my remaining nine nights. When I called the Sonesta I spoke with Rose who was working at the front desk. We had a good laugh over my disastrous experience and she quickly confirmed a room for my remaining nine nights in Florida. Her attitude and professionalism was warm and welcoming. First class attitude. When I arrived at the Sonesta later in the day I was greeted by Evelyn who is excellent, welcoming and funny. Another first class professional. So are Suzette - who would shout out my name with a “good evening” when I was on my way out for a cocktail or dinner - and Cher Mane whose service in the coffee shop was attentive, conscientious and friendly The valet system needs improvement. It wasn’t clear that I needed to text the number provided. Small thing but wanted to pass on the feedback. Thank you for a great stay

Although we didn’t stay at the Sonesta, my family and I got chairs down by the beach and Rafael made sure we were doing well and was very attentive! We had a fantastic time! Definitely will do it again next time.

The hotel is a little off the beaten path which is nice if you want to slow down a bit but you really need to walk quite a distance to get to a decent restaurant. The location is awesome if you just need a beach view. The staff is top notch here. I don't think I have ever been to a more friendly hotel. Very clean and the lobby was decorated nicely. The rooms could use a little update. The pool was very nice and clean with warm towels being brought in every hour. The SteelPan restaurant is quite pricey but the quality of food is spot on. The parking is $38 per night by valet and they park your car behind the building in a ran down parking garage but to be honest, I don't think it is a high crime area so probably no reason to worry. Overall the location to be on the beach is amazing but for the most part it is a hike to get to most activities and dining. I can't say enough about the staff and how attentive they were to the cleaning during covid. The price at this hotel is very good for the view you are getting.

My now Fiancée and I had a really enjoyable stay at this Sonesta. We requested a beach view and they did not fall short on that request, they put us in a room right against A1A that had a panoramic window with an amazing view of the sunrise in the morning. They were so kind every time we needed something. I was asking my Fiancée to marry me that week and one of the overnight gentlemen helped me set up breakfast and champagne delivery in the morning even though that is not something they are doing right now and the restaurant in the building was helpful with this as well. The immediate beach access was great as soon as you walk out of the building and you can’t go wrong with that. Then as you enter the beach you are immediately greeted by Rafael, the gentlemen running the chairs/umbrellas that are for hotel guests and he will set you up with your chairs. He was extremely kind and truly loved making your beach day that much more enjoyable. We will be going back (even when we now live in Fort Lauderdale) just to spend a night by the beach, we had that great of an experience. 10/10 would recommend. - Dan and Robyn
