All the staff (from housekeeping to front desk) were very friendly and helpful. Our cruise check in time was until 1:00, so the front desk graciously allowed us to stay in the room with no extra charge until noon. They then held our luggage in the office until 12:45 while we walked over to Starbucks for a quick muffin and coffee. The housekeeping staff even volunteered to take our luggage to the office for us.
The property is old, but it is quaint with beautiful landscaping and is only a short ride to Port Everglades (approximately $15 Uber ride). If we ever sail from Port Everglades again, we will definitely stay at the Oasis.
The website pictures make the rooms look larger than they really are, but when you are in the rooms and comparing them to the pictures, they are accurate.
The rooms were clean and well kept up. Our room (Queen) had a small fridge and a microwave. The A/C keeps up very well. We had to turn it off when we arrived as the room was quite cool.
They provide nice bathroom amenities. The garden is nice with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outside. We played some games on one of the picnic tables that evening and weren't disturbed by a single bug, which was very nice.
We would definitely stay here again. Good location, friendly staff, nice facility.
room was clean but not large it has a nice shower room also has Iron and board also has a fridge and microwave.
it is about 15-20mins from the Port depending on traffic cost was around $20.
it is well run and staff are great.
Starbucks for breakfast next door also a great Italian Restaurant across the busy Highway also we spotted a BBQ restaurant turn left at the lights on the same side on the road.
the best thing is the relaxing beautifull garden this property has
we would highly recommend the Oasis
The location of this hotel suited our needs otherwise. It is conveniently located near an IHOP where we ate breakfast, and a Walgreens, where I purchased issues.
I accidentally left a carry on bag in our hotel room when departing on a cruise. When I contacted the hotel after returning home, they told me that the bag was there and that it was up to me (out of state) to get it shipped. There's a Walgreen's across the street that has a FedEx shipping center and a Mail Center store two blocks away, but the hotel folks said "they didn't have the time" to ship the bag back to me (of course, I would have been grateful to have paid for their time and effort and the shipping costs). Fortunately the people at The Mail Center of Ft. Lauderdale were willing to go to the hotel, pick up the bag and ship it to me. Kudos to Joe at The Mail Center.
Oasis Hotel people, you missed a chance to show good will towards a customer who had spent two nights in your hotel.
The room was not facing the street so it was a very quiet place to get some good sleep, the room was ample, sparsely furnished but very enjoyable, we especially like the patio or garden area in the back, it was very well kept and relaxing.
Edit: The staff confronted me about my Google Review after authorization of a refund. They have also now left my credit card company (and their business partner since they are listed on the company's travel website) on hold for 2+ hours.
