Had another great visit at the Big Coconut. David, the owner always goes out of his way to take care of guests. He has hired a new Manager, Marcus, who also goes to great lengths to take care of guests. During the period that they were shut down because of Coronavirus, they completely remodeled the pool, and some of the surrounding patio area, and they painted the whole exterior. And of course, Davis loves his plants. Every time I go, there are more added. The place looks like an oasis. It really looks great! I look forward to my next visit - always a great and relaxing time.

This was my third visit over the past few years to the Big Coconut and, as before, I could not be more pleased. Room was clean, quiet and lots of nice features,,,very clean bathroom, nice flat-screen Cable HDTV, In-room safe and large desk work area for my laptop, with good wifi. My only complaint is there is no hot tub. However the 95-degree water in the pool made up for it...It was VERY comfortable. I had a car, but mostly kept it there. I actually enjoyed the 45-minute walk to Wilton Manors. I never had any problems walking in the area, either day or night. One final note was the excellent breakfast they served. Lots of jice, coffee, cereal, pastries and fruit. And Happy Hour Friday and Saturday evening at 5. I'll be back again next winter.

I would recommend to friends. Everyone was very friendly and the pool is kept warmer than my own, and I have free gas from our well! This is the second year that we stayed, 3 days before our cruise and a day or 2 after. Absolutely no attitude as it seems to be a more mature crowd, unlike some of the other places that have previously stayed in Ft. Lauderdale.

We could not book at our previous guest house so we took a chance on Big Coconuts. The host David is amazing. He has a big personality and is very generous with his time. He made our stay so wonderful. He is extremely attentive and responsive to your needs. It was about 2 miles to the beach which was a little far to walk, but we did it. We got around very easily with UBER. The guys staying there were unusually nice and that also added to our fun. I do think the staff needs some additional training on cleaning the rooms etc. It was inconsistent. However, we will return next year.
